"Are you sure?" Daedalus tilted its body. "I already told you it might depress you."
"Don't worry. Nothing can depress me!"
"Fine. But don't blame me later."
Since the young man was adamant, the grimoire decided to give in. It also thought that Leone might be more motivated if he knew how weak he really was.

Leone blinked once, then twice. Then he blinked again, but his Status Page did not change.
Yuni looked over his shoulder to see what had frozen him in place. After seeing his stats, she couldn't help but smirk.
She was a warrior, so she could tell just exactly how bad Leone must be at fighting. The only thing worth noting on his Status Page was his high Intelligence Stat and his Signature Ability, Master Bluffer [EX].
"It's not that bad." Leone forced himself to smile. "Look! It says here that I am smarter than my Familiar!"
"You're happy about being smarter than a kobold?" Yuni giggled.
"Hey! You're just jealous that I'm smart!"
Daedalus wanted to facepalm, but it was a talking book and had no hands. Its new master sure was a bundle of positivity. However, the grimoire was secretly relieved to see the young man unaffected by his pitiful Status Page.
'He might not be a powerful warrior or a strong mage, but attitude goes a long way,' Daedalus thought.
The grimoire watched helplessly as Leone and Yuni bickered.
"Daedalus, can you show me my Status Page?" Yuni asked. "I'm very curious."
"Well, you have to ask for Leone's permission first," Daedalus replied. "After all, he is my master."
Yuni glanced at Leone. The young man had a smug look on his face.
"Very well, I will allow it," Leone said with his arms crossed. "I am not so petty as to reject the request of a lady."
Leone understood that if he wanted to stay in the Alborin Tribe, he needed to get along with Yuni. He was not against it either. She was close to his age and quite beautiful indeed.
Yuni's long red hair and green eyes were rare among barbarians. Her sun-kissed skin radiated a healthy bronze glow, smooth yet firm from years beneath the open skies. It carried the warmth of the sun and the strength of the wild.
This was probably one of the reasons why she had many suitors from other tribes.
"Thank you," Yuni replied stiffly.
She thought that maybe she had been a bit too harsh on the young man. She resolved to treat him a little better from now on.
"Very well, I will now show you your Status Page, Lady Yuni," Daedalus declared.

"Huh?!" Leone gasped after seeing Yuni's stats. He had no inkling that the young lady was a powerful warrior.
Her stats were even higher than Leone's and his familiar's combined!
Yuni was also very surprised. Since she had no idea how strong she was, she could only compare herself to Leone and the white kobold.
However, she understood that doing so was useless. Leone wasn't a warrior, and knowing she was stronger provided no new insight.
She could easily beat up a dozen Leones if she wanted to. She needed more information if she wanted to better gauge her abilities.
"Daedalus, can you show me my father's Status Page?" Yuni asked. "I want to know how strong I am compared to him."
Daedalus didn't reply right away. Instead, it waited for Leone to say the word.
"Do it," Leone ordered. "I also need to know the strength of the Alborin Tribe. We have less than two weeks to prepare for the tribal war. Knowing how strong we are is a priority."
"Understood." Daedalus flipped its pages until it found the Status Page of the Chieftain of the Alborin Tribe, Ulric.

A faint smile appeared on Yuni's face after seeing how strong her father was.
Ulric had always been the pillar of their tribe. Seeing his stats made her realize that she had a long way to go if she wanted to reach her father's current strength.
Leone was quite impressed too. In fact, he hadn't realized that the mild-mannered barbarian drinking mead right beside him last night was a very powerful individual!
Contrary to the very impressed teenagers, Daedalus was less than thrilled.
Truth be told, it had already seen countless powerful individuals since the day of its creation. The grimoire didn't have the heart to tell Leone and Yuni that Ulric was only as strong as a kobold leader.
And a kobold leader was only a Rank 3 Monster!
