And with that, we reach 150 k views.

Whoooo!

Its been tough to be honest, but we're finally there. Hope this really hits off.

Anyway, in honour, this bonus chapter is not for any views, collections or powerstones. Its just a celebratory chapter.

Lets go, enjoyyyy!

_____

I screamed as I fell to my apparent death, cursing myself without pause about not thinking this over properly. The panic caused a lapse in my moments, as I frantically moved my limbs like a falling angel with utmost grace.

Oh. Falling angel. Poetic, isn't it?

The fall of the angel, the final verse-

[Can you please focus on the current situation, which is you about to become sidewalk art? You won't even get any respect if that's your fate, because it is current non existent in this particular freaking country!]

"Naruhodo!" I gave him a thumbs up, and resumed my screaming, flapping in vain.

[USE YOUR STUPID BRAIN!] He screamed. [You have something in your head?! Huh?! Anything there?!]

"Yes," I replied solemnly. "Percabeth fluff. Lots and lots of Percabeth fluff."

[No Perachel?] He sounded disappointed, but changed his tone midway, clearly aware of the fact that I wouldn't talk to him otherwise.

"Eww,no!"

I looked down at the approaching earth. I would usually welcome the planet with open arms, but yeah. Splat isn't my dream technique.

And then it hit. The brainwave which made me realise how stupid I am, and facepalm instantly.

[What happened? Realising Perachel had potential?]

"No, you idiot, I'm having an enlightenment right now. Don't disturb me." I replied as I mentally calculated the distance, my speed, wind speed, possible changes in values etc. It took only a couple seconds, which kinda made me smirk, a s the system growl. I then looked up against gravity, at the other shadowy figure following us.

That's right. The Baseball Devil played a major role in my plans- scratch that, he was my plan, and without him, I was so so cooked.

I mentally commanded him to streamline and get closer to me. He quit falling without action, and instead proceeded to align his arms behind his back, and look straight down, deactivating his baseball arms.

He soared faster, and in another couple of seconds, he was less than 15 feet away from me.

Now for the hard part.

I squinted. If my calculations were correct, like they always are-

[Fucking narcissistic prick.]

I was gonna die in approximately 12.73 seconds if I didn't start moving now.

I took a deep breath as I stopped flaling and let my arms sway by my side. I opened an eye, put a leg behind my back,

And activated Sprint.

Uggh. I'm seriously spamming that skill at every occasion. I know. But I have no skills at all-

[Yet.]

"Oh, does that mean?"

[No freebies.]

...

Regardless, I activated Sprint, pushing into hypersonic speed to use the aur behind me as a solid surface. My speed was so great, that me and the air were like normal person and solid surface.

It's actually physics. An object can use air as a surface to push off against if it travels fast enough. This is the foundational mechanism behind hypersonic flight and atmospheric re-entry, known as aerodynamic lift and compression lift. While the air does not become a literal solid, it compresses so intensely that it acts like a rigid, high-pressure ramp that an aircraft or spacecraft can "ride" or push against to generate lift.

Basically, to summarise air naturally acts like an extremely loose fluid. But like we all know, its an actual existing entity in our environment. As long as we move at speeds of below Mach 5, the air retains its fluidity, although it feels more solid.

However for say, Object A at or above speed of Mach 5, air reaches its maximum speed of deflecting. In other words, it essentially acts as a solid for the object A allowing it to push off, and giving it lift without wings or propellers or anything.

And that was the concept I used to get to the Baseball Devil.

I sensed it's fear, but it's reaction only changed slightly, while it's limbs didn't move at all. Or so it seemed to me, because that's just how fast I was.

And I punched it.

I wasn't much of a boxer, but I'd lived without Wifi for a long time. So obviously I had to find a way to entertain myself.

And the biggest way to do so was by learning martial arts.

So I started off with boxing.

I gave it the most destructive combo I could remember, and I kept continuing. At the same time, I blocked my mana output to the shadow, preventing him from regenerating.

The result was that after a lot of pain, shadow fragments flying and rather discordant sounds of flesh( rather like steel) and shadow colliding together, he disappeared as wisps of shadow vanishing into the air.

Step 1 of survival complete.

And now I dropped Sprint as fatigue hit me. It wasn't anything special, but that was the problem. Accumulation of small small potatoes would end up being one big potato.

[Why are you saying it in a Russian accent?]

...You know why.

I straightened myself, streamlining as the ground grew closer and closer. I didn't know if Dad could me. Probably not.

Still, that didn't stop me from praying for me not to go splat.

[Splat!]

"You're mentally disturbed."

[Yeah, because I have to coop up with you!]

I could see the details of the asphalt more clearly, as well as that of our joyride. Cars beeped, people screamed and moved as Public Safety members evacuated the remaining straggelrs.

Anytime now would be good, I thought. I don't particularly want this to fail spectacularly.

As if on cue, the shadow of a building started bubbling. Wisps of shadow rose from what now looked like a turbulent pool of black liquid-

-to form a familiar figure.

I smiled. This was going to work.

The Baseball Devil quickly transformed it's tight arm to a glove and used most of its mana to expand the size and quality.

I let him do so, even providing him extra mana. Anything to save my ass.

I landed with a light thump on his palm, eagle spread, rather than the expected crack . Of course, I didn't mind.

I checked my body for injuries. Except for the fatigue I accumulated mid air, and a stiff back, I seemed to have nothing wrong with me. I checked my health, I had only lost around 500.

500. That's it.

I jumped off, and promptly winced. "Ow."

I think most of the kinetic energy from the fall had been absorbed by my man's Extra Large Palm Fall Net, but it still didn't help the fatigue. If possible, it worsened.

I snapped my neck. No use worrying about that now. I wouldn't magically get my energy back. Nor the health.

But first, where was my scythe?

The vulture fell through a nearby tower with a crash, protesting feebly but still getting squashed under rubble. I hoped it wasn't dead. It hadn't quite suffered enough for it's crimes.

[Oh, like making you look like an absolute dirk in front of all the people who thought you were an aura farmer?]

"Hush! We do not talk about that." I exclaimed in a righteous voice, quite happy with my impersonation of a mediaeval guy.

[Can we move on already?]

Well, whatever. I activated Sprint, rushing happily towards the tower, humming an AC/DC song, until I paused in my tracks at what I saw.

[...Oh no.]

Goddamn no.

Because there, in front of the building, my beautiful scythe, my powerful, wonderful, illustrious, unmatched scythe-

Had snapped into two.

That's right, the Silver Lining had snapped into two.

I turned my head slowly, rotating it to look at the screen. "System?"

He threw his hands up[Hey, don't blame me. How was I supposed to know my Host would be captured by an ugly ass bird which took you up 200 feet above ground and threw away your scythe? That's not exactly one of our standard weapon durability tests.]

"Well, it should be!" I screamed. "I just lost my valuable weapon! How I loved it-"

[You bought it two and a half days ago.]

"Don't you know anything about love at first sight?" I yelled at it. "My poor Silver Lining...How am I supposed to fight now?"

The system waited for my brain to catch up, which it eventually did. "Oh yeah,"

I looked down at my shadow, and concentrated. It was like a pull in my gut, more like a chain breaking.

A sword rise out of the abyss[shitty abyss] and placed itself beside me, kinda like the Necrosword in Love and Thunder to Gorr. I hoped this one wasn't sentient, and try to corrupt, but for now, I was too angry to care.

"I," I growled. "am going to slice and dice that thing into cubes of vulture salami."

The system whooped. [Yayy, that's the spirit! Go tiger!]

[Name:Shadow Sword

Rank: Normal

Description- A sword made out of shadows to assist the Son of Hades in his exploits. In rage of his opponent breaking his favourite(and only) weapon, the transmigrator poured a lot of his mana to create a slightly stronger weapon and avenge it.]

Avenge it?

Sure.

I charged into the building fuming, Sprint active, where my eyes met a pleasing sight .

The bird was stuck. It hadn't had what you would call a "clean" fall, so naturally, one of its wings was stuck on a rafter. It stayed there, like a chicken in a butcher's shop.

I liked that comparison.

The rafters were almost about to give way, and I was hungry about what would happen next. So I rushed the process.

I grabbed my sword, and jumped upwards, reaching beyond its wing. My wings crashed against the already crumbling roof, but I didn't mind. Instead I slashed at the hanging piece of flesh, seperating the one hanging from the rafters and the hanging chicken.

The chicken screeched so loudly I thought my ear drums would explode. Fortunately they didn't, and I backflipepd mid air to land on my feet.

"Oh," I grinned. "Polly want a cracker?"

Polly was not happy, and instead screamed, picking itself up, and filling its being with bloodlust.

"No?" I turned my head to the side, voice far more calm than I expected. "All right then, fight it is."

The vulture regenerated its arm, solidifying its feathers, and making them lethal. It then flew towards me, but I was prepared. I dodged downwards, spreading out my whole body as far as possible. His talons still ripped my back and I grimaced with the pain, but I picked myself upas it went through the wall.

I grabbed the Shadow Sword, and accelerated out. I leapt on falling debris, broken stairs, railings, walls, anything really, to propel myself out of the wall.

There I spotted the Vulture and narrowed my eyes. It was currently on another rampage, crashing through buildings, picking and throwing cars, you know, random harmful stuff that bullies would do.

I increased my speed, used the wall as a springboard, sailing towards the vulture. It saw me, but it moved a split second too late.

"SCREECH!"

I landed on the building opposite it, clicking my tongue in annoyance as Polly fell through the air.He didn't manage to dodge completely and instead tried to dive when I aimed to seriously injured his body, but I did leave a really deep gash on the back.

It would have given him anaemia at the very least, but within seconds, his words stitched themselves as he started to use his emergency supply of blood.

[How long do you think he stays alive for?]

"Considering he pissed me off, broke my stuff, and made me look like a crybaby? A minute, tops."

[We'll see about that...]
