Ficool

Prologue

The fire burns within the cold wet void, itching to escape the haunting environment it was created in. But there was no hope of escaping, for there was no exit to leave from. Yet even though that concept was quickly understood, it kept going. Though it was pointless, it would've been boring doing anything else.

Nothing to gain, no progress to lose, yet everything to satisfy someone for life. This was the flame that uses its fuel to burn as bright as can be just to make life entertaining. It could care less for anything around it, because the only point in burning was to use up its fuel. It isn't responsible for the people who get burned along the way because the only thing it's responsible for is its purpose.

"Isn't that right, Arthur?"

"I guess so."

"This story reminds me of you kinda."

Arthur stood up and leaned on the windowsill of the opened window. He stared outside as the wind blew around his beautiful light blonde hair and blinded his pale yellow eyes. Arthur thought about his sister's statement and gazed at the outside world as he did.

The clouds began to cover the sun and snapped Arthur out of his dreary trance. As the light began to disappear from the world, he finally found a response to her statement.

"I don't see what you mean by that. Could you elaborate for me?"

"It would be boring if it wasn't subtle."

"Well I'm gonna change the subject to something important then. Father wants you to withhold using soulcasting until I'm at least one second away from death. He doesn't want you destroying anything or exposing the fact that you're the vessel."

Arthur placed his foot on the windowsill and began to lean outside.

"But…I wanna stay here longer."

Arthur paused, struggling to find an excuse for them to stay.

"You must be hungry then?"

Arthur said with a wink. And his sister responded back with a blink.

"Yes."

"Okay, what do you want to eat?"
