Lexianna did not bother to clarify.
She turned her gaze from the bleeding, broken woman on the floor to the elevated dais.
"Your Majesty," Lexianna said, her voice echoing clearly. "As the primary victim of this assassination attempt, and the bearer of the Vaelxuan heir, I claim the right to dictate the sentence."
The Fox King scrambled forward, his golden robes dragging heavily on the stone.
"Your Majesty, she is of royal Fox blood!" the Fox King pleaded, sheer desperation making his voice crack. "You cannot let a—"
The Sovereign King raised a single hand.
The Fox King choked on his own words, instantly silenced.
"The Princess holds the floor," the Sovereign King boomed. His friendly demeanor was entirely gone. He leaned forward, looking directly at the Fox King with cold disdain. "She carries the future of my bloodline. Her word is the law of this hall. Proceed, Lexianna."
