CLASSHERO SESSION
Chapter 9: The Betrayal
The distance between Surya and Aman grew larger with every passing day.
The boy who once spent every evening in the library now disappeared with Dev Chauhan and his group.
Luxury cafés.
Late-night parties.
Expensive cars.
Campus influence.
It was a completely different world.
Surya watched from a distance but never interfered.
---
One evening, Aditi found Surya sitting alone on the university rooftop.
"You've been thinking about Aman."
Surya nodded.
"Those seniors aren't his friends."
"They're using him."
"Then why don't you stop him?" she asked.
Surya looked toward the city lights.
"If I force him back..."
"He'll think I'm controlling his life."
"He has to choose for himself."
Aditi sighed.
"I hope you're right."
---
Meanwhile...
Inside an exclusive club on the outskirts of Mumbai...
Music echoed through the hall.
Dev placed an expensive watch on Aman's wrist.
"You deserve better than being someone's shadow."
The others applauded.
For the first time in months...
Aman felt respected.
Or so he believed.
---
The next morning...
A first-year student accidentally bumped into Aman in the corridor.
"I'm sorry..."
Before the student could finish, Dev laughed.
"Looks like he doesn't know who you are."
The frightened student apologized again.
Aman remained silent.
He could have stopped it.
Instead...
He walked away.
From the end of the corridor, Surya had seen everything.
That evening, he confronted Aman outside the library.
"You've changed."
Aman looked away.
"People change."
"Not like this."
"They're using you."
Aman laughed bitterly.
"And you think only you understand me?"
Surya stayed calm.
"I'm saying this because you're my friend."
"No..."
Aman's voice rose.
"You say it because you think you're always right."
"You save everyone."
"You decide what's good for everyone."
"I'm tired of living in your shadow."
The words hit harder than any punch.
Surya remained silent.
Finally he spoke.
"If I've made you feel that way..."
"I'm sorry."
But Aman had already turned away.
---
Watching from a nearby staircase, Dev smiled.
"Perfect."
He dialed a number.
"The plan begins tonight."
---
Elsewhere...
In a private MMA training center...
A massive fighter stood inside the ring, finishing another sparring session.
His name was Raghav Rana.
A former national-level mixed martial arts champion.
Known for never refusing a challenge.
Dev walked into the gym carrying an envelope.
"I have a job for you."
Raghav didn't even look up.
"I don't fight students."
"This isn't about money."
Dev placed a photograph on the table.
It showed Surya.
"I want you to break his confidence."
Raghav stared at the picture for several seconds.
Then he smiled.
"So..."
"That's the boy everyone is talking about."
He picked up the envelope but left it unopened.
"I'll meet him."
"But remember..."
"I decide how the fight ends."
---
The next morning was Surya's birthday.
Only Aditi and Rishi knew.
They decorated an empty classroom before lectures began.
A small cake sat on the teacher's table.
Rishi laughed.
"For once, the topper won't study all day."
Just as Surya entered the room...
A loud voice echoed from the corridor.
"Surya Sharma!"
Everyone turned.
Standing at the entrance was Raghav Rana.
Students quickly moved aside.
"I've come to challenge you."
Surya looked confused.
"I don't even know you."
"You don't need to."
Raghav stepped into the classroom.
"I was told you're the strongest student in this university."
"So prove it."
Across the corridor, Aman stood frozen.
He recognized Dev standing in the shadows...
Smiling.
For the first time...
Aman realized that he might have become part of someone else's plan.
To Be Continued...
