Chapter 91 - The Life-Saving Girls

"Hyacine and... Barbara?"

Amidst an intense flash of light, Cerydra and Hysilens's heights abruptly changed.

Hysilens began to shrink at a visible rate, while Cerydra began to grow taller at an imperceptible speed; it was truly a mutual approach.

When the radiant light completely faded, the original Little Empress and Siren completely vanished without a trace, replaced by two girls who looked nearly identical.

Why say nearly identical?

Because aside from their attire, the two girls had basically the same hairstyle and facial structure, with only slight differences in their hair color.

"They're actually both healer characters?"

Both bodies turned their heads at the same time to look at each other from head to toe, their faces revealing evident surprise.

Unlike their previous roleplay partnership, Cerydra and Hysilens were a typical 'monarch and subject duo'. Even though they shared a special bond, their statuses were strictly those of a monarch and her subject.

But now, the characters they drew had actually turned into two healers...

Barbara, full name 'Barbara Pegg', a character from Genshin Impact. She was the Deaconess of Mondstadt's Church of Favonius, responsible for religious ceremonies and prayer activities, and simultaneously the shining idol of all of Mondstadt.

Hyacine, originally named 'Hyacinth', a character from Honkai: Star Rail. She was a physician and the chief nurse of Amphoreus's Garden of Mourning Dew, as well as a teaching assistant of the School of Sapientia in the Grove of Epiphany.

Even though they were two completely unrelated characters, they shared far too many similarities. When Hyacine was first leaked, a massive amount of photoshopped images had even appeared on the internet.

Perhaps it was precisely because they looked so similar and even had comparable occupations that they became the system's optimal pair for roleplay?

"However, compared to Hyacine who is like a rainbow, isn't Barbara a bit too plain?"

If one had to use a single word to describe Hyacine, it would undoubtedly be 'rainbow'. The beautiful girl seemed naturally endowed with a captivating, sunny disposition.

On the other hand, although Barbara also possessed such a disposition and excellent looks, compared to Hyacine beside her, she was inevitably a bit too simple...

[Host, this can't be helped. After all, the release times of the two characters are too far apart. One is a character from 2020, and the other is from 2025. Times are progressing, after all. If there were no changes whatsoever, wouldn't the gaming industry be finished?]

"Makes sense. I didn't expect even you to start learning how to make snarky remarks."

"But don't teleport us just yet. Give me some time to adjust..."

Unlike the characters they roleplayed previously, both Hyacine and Barbara belonged to the sunny archetype, capable of bringing peace of mind and warmth to others. Even towards strangers, they could treat them with gentleness.

They weren't like Cerydra and Hysilens—one a monarch who ordered her subordinates to split into five forces to crusade, the other a knight who slaughtered tens of thousands of enemies on the battlefield... Even though they occasionally showed some gentleness, that was only when treating their friends.

When dealing with outsiders or on the battlefield, whether it was Cerydra or Hysilens, both were cold and ruthless existences.

Now, their roleplay direction had abruptly undergone a 180-degree reversal. From ruthless to gentle, separated by merely a single acting session...

It was truly too much!

"But who told us to be the system's wage slaves, Barbie."

"It really is too much, Hyacie."

For Hyacine, the nickname 'Hyacie' was naturally the best fit. After all, 'a new Hyacie has appeared' was an existence acknowledged even by the officials.

However, Barbara had a major issue...

Barbie?

At first glance, this nickname always felt a bit strange, though it was hard to say exactly why. But looking at the other titles truly made it hard to hold back a laugh...

'I can't possibly be called "Bara", "Yellow-ie", or "Pegg-ie", right? Those would only sound even stranger, so let's stick with "Barbie". Hearing it more often makes it seem pretty good?'

"Even though we aren't blood-related sisters, we are even closer than blood-related sisters!"

"That's right, that's right! As long as the two of us work together, there is no pain we can't heal!"

"Offering all things beautiful to everyone!"

"May the red glow remain forever in the sky!"

"The world will definitely be a better place!" x2

Seemingly to cooperate with that performance just now, Hyacine directly took out her little staff and traced a large circle. Meanwhile, Barbara performed a short dance, ultimately making a "peace~" sign by her eye with her right hand.

The coordination between the two was naturally flawless; after all, fundamentally speaking, they were the same person. However, judging by their auras, they indeed possessed a somewhat sunny vibe...

Roleplay is not achieved overnight. Perhaps some people are naturally gifted and can quickly find the feeling of acting. But for the vast majority of people, it is a gradual process.

Only by interacting with more people and gaining a deeper understanding of the character being played can one portray that character in a more ideal state.

"We are both physicians. What we need to do is naturally treat others! Heal all their pains!"

"Not just physical treatment, but emotional as well. We need to let everyone feel happiness and bloom with smiles!"

The two petite twintailed physicians held hands just like that, pure smiles blooming on their faces, as if they truly were thinking about all the beautiful things in the world.

Even knowing it was all a roleplay, so what?

The two healer girls' hearts to help others, always ready to heal someone, would never change. Even a god might not necessarily be able to spot an issue.

"Mhm, this is exactly the feeling!"

"Isn't it just helping others with all our heart? This time, we must absolutely do our best!"

Following Cerydra and Hysilens, the next ones to step onto the roleplay stage were none other than Hyacine and Barbara. However, the world they were heading to seemed to be one with a completely different style from Akame ga Kill.

'Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?', generally abbreviated as 'Danmachi'.

If it were a Masked Fool, they might even call it 'Wrong to Pick Up'. Just tell me, isn't that right? Are those words not in the title?

But what a pity, the roleplay targets this time were not Sparkle, but two healer girls who studied medicine and wanted to save the adventurers of Danmachi.

Who says studying medicine can't save people?

That is only because their medical skills haven't been mastered well enough!

The purity isn't high enough!

As long as one practiced their medical skills to the extreme, whether it was saving their companions or wiping out distant enemies, it would all be a breeze!

Florence Nightingale, ever heard of her?

That was a great woman known as the 'Angel in White'!

If one wanted to become a physician who heals the wounded and rescues the dying, they must emulate that Angel in White!

"System-ie, send us over!"

"Healing the wounded and rescuing the dying is the duty of a deaconess!"

"Even in a different world, we must heal the wounded and rescue the dying!"
