The night air was cold as Jayden, Kayden, and Ariana walked back through the forest.
Ariana was still shaken by what she had just seen.

Soon the trees began to clear, revealing a large hidden area deep inside the forest.

Several houses stood between the trees, and people were moving around with serious expressions.
The moment Jayden and Kayden entered the territory, everyone stopped.

"Why is she here?"

"Then she cannot leave."

"Our laws are clear. Humans who discover the pack must either join us… or be erased."
Ariana's face turned pale.
Jayden's expression hardened.
"No one is touching her," he said firmly.

"She stays under my protection."
Kayden raised an eyebrow with an amused smile.
