Matthew rolled to the side just as the Shadow Wolf slammed into the ground.
Its claws cut deep into the earth.

Matthew scrambled to his feet.
The wolf growled and slowly circled him.

The wolf attacked again.

When the wolf lunged again—
He struck.
The branch pierced the wolf's eye.
The creature collapsed to the ground.
Silence filled the forest.
