Growing up in a most chaotic household carries a crushing feeling that presses down into your bones, as if the weight of the world holds you deeper than you ever expected.
"What did I do to deserve this misery?" he whispered, as his tears glided from his undyingly tired eyes.
Most say, "The world shines like hope that brings people to success," yet here I am, sitting in my forsaken room while waiting for my euphoric departure. Welcome to my flawed life, where the world has shattered me into the particles of the abyss.
One morning, he wandered outside below the pure glimmer of the sun, which is strange because he's always stuck inside the concealing void of his room. The delicate brush of the wind against his skin, and as he gasped, the gentle breeze of this sphere of existence made him feel that he exists. Yet still, the shroud of despair towers over everything.
He packed up his things and wandered the halls of learning, each step carrying the weight of his thoughts.
"What is it like to experience love?" The emotion poured before he could grasp it, rendering him speechless in his own small universe.
As he navigated the hallways of the school, a girl ignited a spark within him. Her eyes and smile left him pondering how a being of flesh could possess such divinity. For the first time in his life, a soft blaze of excitement rose within his heart, yet the harsh reality disrupted the tranquility of his little bubble: I can never claim her as my own.
As the bells of the dream chamber resonated throughout the expansive heart of the school, they also marked the day his shadow once again retreated to his small sanctuary, where light seems to forget to shine.
As morning broke into brightness, the only memory that remained was that enchanting smile.
A fleeting glance at the moment the school started again. As he gasped, the air flowed differently the instant his gaze landed upon that godly stare. It felt as if the world revolved slowly the moment she walked through the hallways of learning. He couldn't do anything but admire the mystical light that the maiden bore. With every unfolding moment, the essence of hope poured into his nest. Unseen by her, she became his lamp, bearing light in his shadow-cloaked alley.
"How dare I yearn for her sheltering arms when I am incapable of offering anything but my wretched existence?" he traced in a quiet tone.
As time faded into the realm of void, a celestial gleam drifted forward into his path. In his gradual gaze, his vision embraced that divine blossom, glittering with a knowing smile.
"Hi!" she whispered. The wanderer couldn't move, as if the air itself had frozen between them.
"Hello," the lone voyager replied, his voice trembling from the overwhelming light that devoured the darkness surrounding his fragile bubble. The maiden smiled, her luminous beauty warming the lonely patch of dust where he stood.
"You are so quiet in class," she said softly. "Do you have friends to talk to, or someone who accompanies you through the day?"
The lone voyager swiftly drifted away, causing his fount of courage to ripple with uncertainty. But the gleaming lady trailed wherever he went, as if her steps left a crimson carpet of roses. She pressed against his shoulders, breathing heavily, striving to catch up.
"Why do you flee when all I do is ask a simple question?" she murmured, a teasing smirk playing on her lips.
"N-n-n-nothing... it's just... I'm not accustomed to someone truly caring for me," he tenderly said, each word fluttering like a timid heartbeat.
From that day, a bond quietly intertwined, bridging their mirrored, melodious souls. As the bond delicately soared, the wanderer's sphere of life began to flourish. The shadowed chambers of his mind were now enchanted by her glow.
