One Piece: Lone Monster

Chapter 2

Before arriving in this world, Ron had lived an ordinary life as a student. Like many ridiculous stories he used to read online, his life had ended because of the infamous Truck-kun. The next thing he knew, he was standing in a strange white space in front of a being who casually introduced himself as a ROB — a Random Omnipotent Being.

Ron crossed his arms and stared at the figure with confusion. "So you're telling me I'm going to be reincarnated into the world of One Piece, and I even get cheats? Why?" he asked suspiciously.

The ROB shrugged lazily, as if the question itself was boring. "Because I want to. Do I really need a reason?" he replied in an indifferent tone. "And since the author chose you, can you stop wasting time?"

Ron blinked for a moment before nodding casually. "Fair enough. I don't really care about the reason anyway. So what exactly are my cheats?"

The ROB grinned mischievously before raising a finger. "First, you will be born during the Era of Rocks. Your cheats will include several things."

"First, you will possess the lineage of an Ancient Giant and a Lunarian hybrid," the ROB explained calmly. "Second, you will have an Inventory, a separate storage space where time does not flow."

"Third, you will be born with Seimei Kikan (Life Return) as an innate ability," the ROB continued. "It will allow you to shrink your body at will and grant you complete control over your physical body."

The ROB then raised another finger with a sly smile. "And finally, you will receive a Mythical Zoan Devil Fruit. However, you won't be able to eat it until the time of God Valley."

Ron stared at the ROB in complete silence for a few seconds, trying to process everything he had just heard. "You have to be kidding me," he finally said. "What kind of overpowered starter pack is this?"

The ROB chuckled before shaking his head slightly. "Don't get too excited. Even with that build, survival in that world won't be easy. Remember, you will be a Lunarian, and the World Government hunts them."

Ron's lips slowly curved into a fearless grin. "Even with all that, if I still fear the World Government, then I might as well not be reborn at all."

The memory slowly faded from his mind as Ron continued flying across the ocean. Even now, it sometimes felt like a dream, but the rushing wind and endless sea beneath him constantly reminded him that it was real.

After several weeks of traveling through the skies, occasionally landing on pirate ships to rest along the way, Ron finally arrived at the desert kingdom of Alabasta.

As he approached the island, the flames on his back slowly dimmed while his black wings shrank slightly in size. It was nighttime when he landed, and the quiet desert wind carried grains of sand across the streets.

Ron casually walked into a small inn and rented a room without drawing too much attention. After weeks of flying across the sea, he simply collapsed onto the bed and fell asleep almost instantly.

The next morning, Ron woke up refreshed and headed to a nearby restaurant. He began eating without restraint, dish after dish disappearing as the staff continuously brought more food.

The entire restaurant stared in stunned silence as the young man devoured what looked like enough food to feed several people. When he finally finished, Ron wiped his mouth calmly.

"Thanks for the food," he said casually before paying and leaving the restaurant.

Several women inside the restaurant watched him leave with hearts in their eyes, clearly captivated by the handsome stranger. Meanwhile, the men stared in disbelief at the mountain of empty plates stacked on the table he had just vacated.

Ron stretched lazily once he stepped outside into the bright desert sunlight. "Man, traveling alone is boring," he muttered with a sigh.

He chuckled to himself while walking through the lively streets. "I should find some crewmates eventually… and they have to be stronger than the Rocks Pirates."

For the next several weeks, Ron explored the kingdom of Alabasta, enjoying its unique culture and lively cities. He tasted all kinds of local food and even relaxed in the famous hot springs the kingdom was known for.

As a giant, time was something he possessed in abundance. Because of that, Ron had no reason to rush his journey across the world.

Despite enjoying himself, he never neglected his training. Every night, he would travel deep into the desert where no one could see him and push his body to its limits.

Blazing fists cut through the desert night as Ron unleashed the flames of his Lunarian bloodline. "Fire Fist!" he shouted, sending a massive blast of fire crashing into the sand.

The impact melted a huge section of the desert into glowing lava, illuminating the night sky with intense heat. Ron stood in the middle of the burning sand, his wings spread and flames dancing behind him.

After fully enjoying everything Alabasta had to offer, Ron eventually looked down at the Log Pose attached to his wrist. The needle had already stabilized and was pointing toward the next island.

With a small smile, Ron spread his wings once again and took to the sky. Following the direction of the Log Pose, he flew toward the next destination waiting somewhere across the vast sea.
