Chapter 1 - Ch-18 Ebhabe Fire Asha Jai

Ebhabe Fire Asha Jai – Chapter 18

(An Interesting Romantic Story)

The soft morning sunlight entered the room through the half-open window. Meghla was sitting quietly on the bed, thinking about the last few days. So many misunderstandings, so much distance between her and Arnab—yet everything now felt as if it was slowly healing. Still, somewhere deep in her heart, a small fear remained.

Arnab stood silently near the door, watching Meghla. After so long, he finally understood that his life felt incomplete without her.

"Meghla…" Arnab called softly.

Meghla looked up, slightly surprised. "What happened?"

Arnab walked slowly toward her and said,

"Can we start again… from the beginning?"

Hearing those words, Meghla's eyes filled with tears. She had waited so long to hear something like this.

"Is starting again really that easy?" Meghla said with a faint smile.

Arnab stayed silent for a moment and then replied,

"It's not easy… but it's not impossible either."

There was a quiet determination in his voice.

Just then, Meghla's phone started ringing. She looked at the screen and suddenly felt uneasy. The name on the screen was Rudra.

Arnab noticed her expression.

"Who is it?" he asked.

Meghla hesitated for a moment.

"An old friend."

But Arnab could feel that it was more complicated than that.

Meghla answered the call.

"Hello?"

From the other side, Rudra said,

"Meghla, I need to talk to you about something important. Can we meet today?"

Meghla became silent. She didn't know what to say.

Arnab watched her face carefully. When she ended the call, he gently said,

"If you want to meet him… you can go."

Meghla looked at him in surprise.

"You're not angry?"

Arnab smiled slightly.

"I'm learning to trust."

Those words brought a strange peace to Meghla's heart.

In the afternoon, Meghla met Rudra at a quiet café in the city. They sat across from each other, and for a few moments neither of them spoke.

Finally, Rudra said,

"Meghla, there is something I have wanted to tell you for a long time. I… I love you."

Meghla was surprised.

"Rudra," she said gently, "you are a very good friend to me. But nothing more than that."

Rudra took a deep breath.

"I knew that," he said with a sad smile. "Still, I wanted to say it once."

Meghla looked at him and said softly,

"There is someone in my life… Arnab."

Rudra remained quiet for a while. Then he nodded.

"Then don't lose him," he said. "People like that are rare."

Those words stayed in Meghla's mind.

In the evening, Meghla returned home.

Arnab was standing alone on the balcony.

Meghla walked toward him and asked,

"Were you waiting for me?"

Arnab smiled.

"Yes."

"Why?"

"Because I want you to come back… to me."

Hearing that, Meghla's eyes filled with tears again.

She slowly held Arnab's hand.

"I never really went away," she said softly.

At that moment, it felt like all their misunderstandings were finally fading away.

But suddenly, something unexpected happened.

There was a knock on the door.

Arnab opened it and saw a middle-aged man standing outside.

"Are you Arnab?" the man asked.

"Yes."

The man said seriously,

"I am a friend of Meghla's father. I came to give you some urgent news."

Meghla came forward anxiously.

The man spoke in a heavy voice,

"Meghla's father is very ill. He wants to see both of you."

Hearing this, Meghla's face turned pale.

Arnab gently placed his hand on her shoulder and said,

"Let's go. We should leave now."

Meghla slowly nodded.

That night, they started their journey in the car.

Meghla looked outside through the window. The dark road seemed endless. Life felt strange to her—sometimes it pushes people apart, and sometimes it brings them back together.

Arnab spoke softly,

"Meghla…"

"Yes?"

"I never want to lose you again."

Meghla looked at him and smiled gently.

"Then hold on to me."

The car moved forward through the silent night.

Ahead of them waited a new chapter of life—perhaps with more challenges, but also with the strength of love.

And deep in her heart, Meghla thought—

Maybe some people in life are meant to return, no matter how far they go.

True love may face distance and pain, but it always finds a way to return.
