I'm not a very prideful person, flaunting my achievements in the face of others is not something I would do. But right now this is the only time I will hold any amount of pride.
"I can finally crawl around!"
A year and a half has passed since I got reincarnated and up until now Claire has been my only source of entertainment. She usually comes to play with me and Silas after she gets done training. She would tickle me till I passed out from exhaustion. My father usually took me into his study and read me books or he talked about his old days as a dark knight and as an adventurer.
Reginald Kagehashi, former dark knight of the Everhart Kingdom and former adventurer to the adventures guild, (these are a few occupations in this world) He spoke about his time as a dark knight protecting the kingdom. To his adventures with his party and the expeditions to search for treasure and monster hunting quest they acquired from the Adventure guild and his escapades in the Gloomfang Wilds. He eventually settled down when he met my mother on the base of The Spine of the World: Mount Orem's Teeth in a city called Alandal.
"And she was like Sir Reginald will you go out with I've fallen deeply in love with you." My father proudly explained how he met my mother at the adventures guilds tavern she worked at.
I suspected that he was lying to me and I was proven right when my mother did her special techniques I dubbed Malevolent mom aura or MMA for short. It's a very effective technique.
"Reg, I hope you're not telling them lies and if you are…" My mother closed her eyes and gave him a sickly sweet smile."You'll be sleeping on the couch tonight."
My father paled when he heard that started shaking his head rapidly, spilling out apologies.
She accepted his apology, making her mood do a complete 180. She picked me and my brother up from dads lap and started to dote on us.
Look at how cute my little angels are." My mother said cooing at me and Silas. My mother has been a real blessing. She took care of me with utmost care and made me feel loved like only a mother could. "Who's the cutest, you are you are!"
My mom said as she started to tickle me and my little brother to death, she placed us down on the floor.
"Reg make sure they don't hit their heads on anything." My mother cautioned our father.
"I got it, I'll steer them away from any sharp conclusions. He replied.
Silas started to crawl before me, and I was hot on his heels. Eventually we ended up in front of the only mirror in our house.
Aww, look at them looking at themselves in the mirror!" I cringed at my parents.They were squealing like a crowd of high school girls. But I have to admit, my parents' genetics were ridiculous. I'm really freaking adorable. I got my mother's midnight black hair and nose while my eyes are a stormy grey color, inherited from my grandfather. That's what I heard my mom say when she was doting on me. My brother on the other hand has my dad's flaxen hair and our moms nose and while his eyes are an onyx color, inherited from our dad I don't know how my facial features are going to turn out as I mature and grow but as long as I don't end up fat, I think I'll be okay.
"Watch out ladies, my boys are coming for you!" My father announced proudly, my mom slapped him for that.
Weeks of crawling away (playing) from Claire strengthened my legs and waist enough for me to crawl up the stairs managing to make it to my family's library. My mother cursed the day me and Silas could move properly. "I swear, you both are going to become as hard to manage as your father, at least Claire was well behaved when she was little."

We have a bunch of books in the house but none caught my attention until I saw two giant brown leather books in the corner on top of a few other books.
I slowly crawl my way over to the small stack of books I lifted my tiny hands up and grabbed the books slowly picking up the books making sure I didn't knock over any books I slowly crawl my way back to the middle of the room I closed the dusty books down and situated myself more comfortably on the ground laying on my tummy, dragging that book tired me out.
"History of the Disandria"
A guide book that contains the name and unique characteristics of various countries in this world.
"An Aristocrat's Guide to Mana Manipulation."
A guide book that explains the different ways to use and manipulate mana and how to awaken your magic circuits.
Leaving aside the magic book.
I opened the history book and started to read through it.
Disandria the continent I was born on comprised of 5 major kingdoms.
The Elven kingdom, Eldrinwood, was in a vast forest that covered the continent.
Throm-Kaer, the dwarven kingdom, was an underground kingdom. I couldn't help but think about the times when I used to binge "The Ruler of the Rings" with my little sister Hana.
The Promia Kingdom, The country of arts, the second human populated kingdom northwest of the Everhart kingdom near the sea it's essentially a large island, whose only land access is a bridge that connects it to Everhart.
The Therianthrope Kingdom, Lunaria, which houses a race of human-animal hybrid appearance, typically having a human body with animal ears, a lot of fur and tails. They're located deep in the mountains of Mount Orem's Teeth.
And finally the Kingdom of Everhart, the other human kingdom and most-populated kingdom that houses over 1 million people.
I found out earlier
Skimming through the rest of the non important information I closed the book laying to the side as I opened the book about magic.
"Every one is born with magic but not everyone can awaken their magic circuits (mana veins). A recent study has come out that roughly 1 and 100,000 kids are able to sense their mana veins (magic circuits) but that can only be tested to show the extent when their magic circuits first completely develop, which can be anywhere from early adolescence to late teen years. When a mage awakens their magic circuits a huge wave of mana pressure repelling the objects and mana in the surrounding area.
Reading the last sentence on the first page I looked to my left to see my little brother Silas next to me. His onyx eyes sparkled in fascination. I smiled at him in amusement. "My little brother is trying to copy me. I think to myself.
Focusing back on the book I flipped through the pages, until something caught my attention.
"As you know Magic can be used in a couple different ways. The two most common methods of utilizing magic come through enhancing the body through magic use (Liberators) and emission of mana to the outside world (Elementalist)..."
"Liberators are the most commonly seen among dark knights utilizing magic and channeling it through their magic circuits distributing it around their body to strengthen their body and attacks."
"Elementalist are commonly seen among spellsword/spellblades, Mages who, after utilizing their mana, can cast spells to give it a certain elemental affinity giving it a certain effect on the surrounding area or target.
Weaknesses and Limitations.
"While Liberators can possess incredible strength,speed and agility, their weakness lies in their limited attack range."
"Elementalists possess unfathomable powers, being able to create and effect the elements around them at will. However there are limitations. Unlike Liberators who utilize the mana from their magic circuits. Elementalists can use the magic particles in the air, in addition to their own magic circuits, to form magic spells.
Oh great. The way the book describes elementalists just feels like some cocky little flip-flops wrote this.
While both can manipulate magic each are categorized by how many magic circuits they are born with or how many they gain in the future. Liberators and Elementalists have different ways of measuring what affinity they're most in tune with.
How the hell am I supposed to awaken my magic circuits? Lord give me strength….

"A Liberator's magic is measured by how many mana veins they have in their body, which measures the speed and efficiency in distribution of their mana from their magic circuits into various parts of their body.
"An Elementalist's power and talent,affinity, is measured by the power of their mana coils, which indicates the speed and effectiveness of absorbing and distributing mana from your body and from the outside world to your magic circuits to cast spells."

"Mages (Mana manipulators) are categorized as either Liberators or Elementalists since attempting to be proficient at both is incredibly time consuming and inefficient. Most are born with a noticeable difference in their mana coils and mana veins.
I wonder if one could mix these two types of mana manipulation.
"Liberators have very strong mana veins so they don't need strong mana coils they mostly utilize the mana from their magic circuits, While Elementalists do not need strong mana veins they can use the magic particles in the air and in their body to cast spells.
Never mind. Found my answer.
In any case, it would seem my father - albeit childish at times - is a decent Liberator and an above average swordsman.
But my mom has healing powers, what is she classified as.

"There are a few, rare aberrants. The two most common aberrants are elemental aberrants and channelers. The more sought out of the two are Channelers, or commonly known as healers. Healers are a rarity so if someone awakens as one they are treated as a saint. Healers possess the power to heal people with this ability; it allows them to heal wounds, remove scars and even regrow severed limbs if their magic circuits are strong enough."
No wonder why mom is so scary she can heal you the torture and repeat the same process over and over again.
Maybe I'm exaggerating it just a little.
Fundamentals of Being an Elementalist.
"The proper steps to utilizing magic as an elementalist is to gather magic from your body into your mana nucleus then gathering the magic particles from the atmosphere to purify it, you then channel your mana into a conductor ( wand,staff,ring, an enchanted blade, of some sort) with the incantations as a mental controller for your will into shaping the mana into whatever spell you want."

"The more powerful the spell, the longer the incantation will take and the more mana you have to build up to cast the spell."

"Elementalists are in tuned with nature so when the first awaken their magic circuits their mana reflects what elements (Air, Water, Earth, and Fire) they're most in tuned with. But with training they can master a different basic element."

Fundamentals to be a Liberator.
"Liberators don't use magic from the atmosphere like elementalist so it takes far less time for them to gather magic. Liberators can surpass the bodily limitations of humans: they can lift ginormous boulders with a single finger, dash twice as fast as a horse, leap higher than a house by efficiently distributing magic to each part of your body via your magic circuits."
Magic in this world is so similar to a bunch of anime I've watched back in my old world. If I could incorporate those methods here there's no telling how high I'll go.
"Enhancing your body requires you to utilize the magic particles in your body, the purest form of magic. It allows them to freely control magic allowing them to utilize different fighting techniques through Liberating the body.

Magic Circuits are a pseudo-nervous system that spreads itself through the body and what qualifies a person to be a mage.
So it's similar to the power system from Saruto. I think it was called chakra. I don't remember.
Like any other organ, the number of Magic Circuits that one possesses is determined at birth and cannot decrease or increase naturally, meaning that those from older royal lineages will be more powerful than regular people.
So I'm guessing no one has figured out that if you break them and repair them at a young age you can increase the number of circuits in your body.
Mana Nucleus (the central focal point for magic) at your body's center of mass, near the lower abdomen. This core acts as the body of water, and your magic circuits branch out from it like rivers to feed mana to your whole body.
To awaken your magic circuits you first have to meditate and sense the magic particles in your body and gather them into your mana nucleus.

Magic overuse for Liberators is where you push past your normal limits causing internal damage to your mana nucleus, causing excruciating pain depending on how strenuous the damage to your mana nucleus is. For Elementalist, magic overuse occurs when you overuse spells beyond the your magic circuits capacity or using a spell that's too much for your magic circuits to handle."
Closing the book, I propped myself up on my butt, I started to think and digest all of the information I've just read.
So magic works uncannily similar to chakra from Saruto you need to fuse to mediums to make magic similar to how you have to fuse physical and spiritual energy to make chakra so if I focus the magic particles in my body to the mana nucleus in my lower abdomen I can awaken my magic circuits earlier than usual.
So I went to test my theory but I had an unexpected guest.
I look over to see that Silas is copying what I'm about to do.
I totally forgot he was here, do babies in this world learn fast from copying others. Before I could dwell on my question someone came in and interrupted me.
"There you two are. I was looking everywhere for you. It's time for your nap, my little angels."
"But I'm not tired mom. I don't need to take a nap as if I'm some newborn infant. I was just about to learn how to awaken my magic circuits."
Picking me and my brother up and gently placing us in her arms, we were forcibly taken to our nursery to take a nap.
"Awhh." I let out a small yawn as my eyes got heavy.
My mother smiled at me as if she knew that I was tired.
Curse this insufferable body.
Placing me and Silas in our respective cribs and kissing us on our foreheads. "Sweet dreams my little angels."
"Goodnight mama." I said and before dream land took me I saw my mom's shocked face as she started to cry I wonder why she was shocked I couldn't dwell on it as sleep took me.
