Chapter 29 - Chapter 29: Aftermath of the Celestial Battle

The winds of the mountain had finally begun to calm.

The violent storm of spiritual energy that had engulfed the Ji Xia Sect hours earlier had slowly faded, leaving behind a battlefield marked with cracked stone, shattered walls, and scorched earth. The courtyard where Yan Fu had clashed with the mysterious silver-flame cultivator now looked like a scar carved into the mountain itself.

Yet despite the destruction, one thing was clear.

Ji Xia Sect still stood.

Disciples moved across the courtyard carrying broken weapons, clearing debris, and helping the injured. Though exhaustion showed on their faces, there was also excitement and pride burning in their eyes.

They had witnessed something extraordinary.

Their sect master had fought against a being far stronger than the elders of the Blood Flame Sect and emerged victorious.

For many of them, it was the first time they truly understood what kind of person Yan Fu was.

At the center of the courtyard, Yan Fu stood quietly with his celestial staff planted gently against the ground.

His white robes moved slightly with the mountain wind.

Though the battle had pushed him to reveal the Third Scripture of the Celestial Dao, his breathing remained steady.

Still, the immense consumption of spiritual energy had not gone unnoticed.

Beside him stood the guardians of Ji Xia Sect.

Vorath lazily stretched his massive body, his jet-black scales reflecting faint glimmers of sunlight.

"That was a decent battle," the ancient lion rumbled. "But that silver flame cultivator… he was holding back."

Tianlong coiled slightly in the air above them, lightning flickering along his long body.

"I sensed the same," the storm dragon said. "That opponent was testing our master."

Aetherion approached slowly, the soft glow of healing energy radiating from his horn.

"Regardless," he said calmly, "the sect survived its trial."

Yan Fu nodded slightly.

His gaze drifted across the courtyard where the disciples were working together.

Li Fei stood near the broken gate, helping other disciples carry large pieces of stone away from the entrance.

Pink flames occasionally flickered around his hands as he melted twisted metal and shattered weapons into harmless fragments.

Even after witnessing the battle, the young disciple's eyes burned with determination.

Yan Fu watched him for a moment before quietly speaking.

"The sect will need to grow stronger."

Vorath's tail swayed lazily.

"Obviously," the lion said. "Your enemies will not stop after today."

Before Yan Fu could respond—

A soft mechanical voice echoed inside his mind.

[System Notification]

Yan Fu's eyes narrowed slightly.

The translucent blue interface appeared before him.

[Main Quest Completed]

Reward Distribution Initiated.

Golden light flickered across the interface as several new messages appeared.

Yan Fu raised an eyebrow slightly.

Even Vorath noticed the change in his expression.

"What is it?" the lion asked.

"The system," Yan Fu replied calmly.

He examined the floating interface carefully.

One reward in particular caught his attention.

Celestial Treasury Key

A small golden key suddenly appeared in Yan Fu's hand.

It was ancient.

The metal was carved with intricate patterns resembling stars and flowing clouds.

Aetherion's eyes glowed softly when he saw it.

"That energy…" he murmured.

"It feels ancient."

Yan Fu nodded slowly.

"System," he said quietly.

"Explain this item."

The interface flickered.

Celestial Treasury Key

Item Description:

A key left behind by the original founders of Ji Xia Sect.

Used to unlock the Hidden Sect Treasury.

Location: Beneath Ji Xia Sect Main Hall.

Yan Fu's eyes widened slightly.

"The original founders?"

He had been reincarnated into this world and had inherited the ruined sect, but until now, he knew very little about its past.

Aetherion stepped closer.

"The ancient Ji Xia Sect was once powerful," the celestial guardian said.

"But its secrets were lost when it fell."

Vorath chuckled.

"Well, it seems your system just found them."

Yan Fu closed the interface.

His gaze turned toward the towering structure behind the courtyard.

The Main Hall of Ji Xia Sect.

Though damaged by time and war, it still stood as the heart of the sect.

"If there truly is a treasury beneath it…" he murmured.

"Then it may contain the legacy of the sect."

Tianlong descended from the sky, landing gracefully nearby.

"Shall we investigate?"

Yan Fu nodded.

But before he could move, Li Fei approached and bowed respectfully.

"Master."

Yan Fu looked at him.

"The battlefield has been cleared," Li Fei said.

"The disciples are awaiting your instructions."

Yan Fu glanced across the courtyard.

Dozens of disciples had gathered quietly.

Their eyes were filled with expectation.

They had witnessed the strength of their sect master.

Now they waited to see what would come next.

Yan Fu stepped forward.

His voice carried clearly across the courtyard.

"Today, Ji Xia Sect faced its first great challenge."

The disciples listened silently.

"But we survived," he continued.

"And from this day forward, Ji Xia Sect will begin its rise."

A ripple of excitement spread among the disciples.

Yan Fu raised the golden key slightly.

"But before that…"

His eyes turned toward the main hall.

"There is something we must uncover."

Vorath grinned, baring his sharp teeth.

"Oh, this should be interesting."

Yan Fu began walking toward the ancient hall.

Behind him, the guardians followed.

The disciples watched curiously as their sect master pushed open the massive doors of the hall.

Dust drifted through the air as sunlight poured inside.

At the center of the chamber stood a massive stone floor engraved with faded symbols.

Yan Fu stepped onto the ancient carvings.

The golden key in his hand suddenly began to glow.

The floor trembled slightly.

Aetherion's eyes widened.

"The key is reacting."

Yan Fu knelt and inserted the key into a small hidden slot within the floor's central symbol.

For a moment—

Nothing happened.

Then suddenly—

RUMBLE

The entire hall shook violently.

Ancient mechanisms that had slept for centuries began to awaken.

Massive stone slabs slowly shifted apart, revealing a descending staircase hidden beneath the floor.

A deep golden light rose from the darkness below.

Yan Fu stared down into the glowing passage.

"The Hidden Treasury…"

Vorath chuckled with excitement.

"Well, Master…"

The ancient lion's amber eyes gleamed.

"Let's see what kind of treasures your sect left behind."

And together, they began descending into the unknown depths beneath Ji Xia Sect.
