My body slumps to the ground, hitting hard against, the rocks below me.
"Argh!"
I say as I feel my back, tilting myself upwards from my spine to feel my back.
"What the hell?!"
Looking up.
I see the sky far up, trees slightly blocking it, and the hole still there, with not even the slightest amount of dirt falling from the ground that disappeared below me.
"How does that even happen?"
As I get to a sitting position.
I look both left then right, nothing besides, endless dark path that is even dark further down.
"I'll just Displace myself up there."
I stand and as I begin to dust myself off, the hole closes completely. Covering me in darkness.
Instantly, I grab at my eye patch and lift it slightly.
"What the hell!?"
Grabbing at my side, feeling for my bow, I can'f feetl it, giving me a mini heart attack, then with a tiny step to the left, I feel the bow, being slightly pushed away.
Bending down, I touch around for my bow, and grab at it, after grabbing at nothing, many, many times.
The sigil lets off, the same blue color it has since the first time, I used it, but for somereason, the bow feels to be brighter.
Tapping the sigil to make an arrow appear, the arrow, shine way brighter than usual.
"What the hell?"
I say covering my face for a second, then I shrug my shoulders, as my eye adjust to the light.
"Atleast, it's giving good light. Now, I know there was air coming from somewhere."
Looking back and forth once again.
Left, then right.
I can't tell the differences between both the left and the right, besides the fact that they are both going in opposite directions with complete darkness to help me.
"Okay."
I look back and forth for a second.
With my finger stretched out to the left side.
"Eeny..."
RIght
"Meeny..."
Left.
"Miny..."
Right.
"Moe..."
Left.
"Something about a tiger. I'm going left."
With my bag on my back and my feet pushing forward, I continue to go toward the left, using my bow to guide me forward with its light.
Continuing forward I feel my sandals stepping on rocks and pushing past it.
The place is a long empty cave system that even though it has only been a few minutes feels like I've been going on forever.
"Does this place connect to the same Soul Cave place that Sply was talking about?"
I ask myself.
I pause as I stare at the ceiling of the ground.
"Better question. WHY DID THAT HOLE OPEN?!"
I let out a huff of air in my lungs and continue down the emptiness of the halls.
Step after step after step after step.
My feet feel the slap again and again against the darkness of the dirt floor, that's not even taken care of like the dirt pathways up top.
The blue light coming off of my arrow, is brighter than usual, but it doesn't catch even the slightest difference coming from the darkness way in front of me. The same can be said for my eye.
Even with the patch lifted up, giving me the ability to see the Souls of everyone, and every creature.
I don't manage to catch a single thing moving in my view.
"Is this entire place just a desolate wasteland... or well, just a desolate place... since this isn't really a place that is a wasteland... would this count as a wasteland?"
A breeze runs up my back.
It makes me shiver.
"God, that's a weird rush of air... Air?"
My feet start to push my body into a run.
"If there is air, or wind, that means an exit!"
A smile grows on my face, after walking in this empty dark abyss of this weird underground tunnel.
Every stride makes my heavy heart lift slightly off of it's shackles against the chains that tightened around myself, making me draw breath easier.
'Okay...'
My thoughts encurage myself as I feel the air more and more.
Soon, I end up seeing a slight light coming from around the corner of the tunnel before me, with a wide area as well.
Another step and I feel myself step on top of something heavy, that slowly pushes itself deeper into the ground.
The ground SHAKES.
I stop moving and plant my feet into the ground, standing upright, holding myself still.
"What the hell?!"
The ground below me begins to give away.
My body tenses.
My body completely moves away from that spot, stepping back to the place a bit further away from the place where the hole is opening at.
'God, fool me one time shame on you, fool me twice...'
A metal hand begins to pull itself out of the hole, that I was below just a few seconds again.
Soon, metal armor begins to come with the metal hand that pulled itself out of the hole. A foot that is bent at a weird way to pull itself out of the hole, making the body look destorted, until the whole body comes out, standing upright and tall enough to look like its body is too big for this tunnel, as there is a long sword by it's side.
The color of the armor in front of me, is the color white, then blue, then a shade of green that border the color black, then another shade that's a brighter green, then the color yellow.
'Shame on me...'
I pull the string for my bow.
The armor grabs it's sword, the thing being long enough to almost reach me. from where I'm standing even though i'm like many feet away from it.
The dirt that it came out of now reforming itself as if it was a living organism, but it doesn't even have a color to go along with itself.
"What the hell is this place?"
The sword swings, the distance for it swings right to my torso.
My body tenses and I move back, pulling my string as hard as I can. I release it the arrow goes flying through the air and hits the knight like thing in front of me.
The arrow, is much brighter than usual, as it gets closer it makes complete contact with it, and embeds itself in the armor.
The sword misses me and stabs into the wall of the tunnels.
"What the freak?"
The arrow slowly disappears from the knight, making me lose my light, leaving only the very bad lighting, coming from behind the knight, to light up the place.
With that light though, I can see the knight pulling at the tunnel walls.
Tapping the sigil again. I get light from and arrow, pulling the string again.
The knight begins unlodge the sword from the tunnel walls. My body freezes for a second.
"How..."
I try looking around for a way for me to get out of this alive. I shot once, the arrow did nothing besides leave a small hole in the armor of the place.
The sword is now free. The knight swings itself toward me again, coming down from the top, then to the bottom.
I jump back, tripping then falling to the ground as, I position myself to shoot three more arrow shots right to the knight as soon as the sword got stuck in the ground.
All of the sent shots hitting the chest plate.
'NOTHING!'
The arrows disappear again, giving a white color coming out of the armor.
'White?'
The thought passes as the white color descends from the holes and look as if it drops to a lower part of it's body.
The sword is free once more.
The knight moves quicker this time. Lifting the sword up again and quickly down.
I feel my body tense.
The sword stays above the ground, not connecting with the ground.
The knight cuts up now, still aiming for me, pushing my body to tense again.
I'm way further back.
"Okay."
My breath draw heavy.
'Soul Energy.'
I feel my arms go numb for the shortest second, then I begin to envelope the bow with Soul Energy.
The arrow, grows way brighter, making it shine brighter.
"Hows this any different from before?"
The knight begins to move in my direction.
I let the arrow fly, an arrow with my Soul Energy. The arrow is quick and makes contact with the metal plating of the knight. Once it made contact, it didn't stop, instead the arrow continued to fly, breaking open the armor of the knight, showing a slight shine underneath the armor of the knight.
The arrow flies completely through it, showing the other shine coming from behind the knight.
"What the hell is that?"
The light from underneath the knight moves to the massive hole, with what looks like tendril grabbing all around the inside of the armor, as if it's the veins of it's soul stretching out, using it to control the knight and make it move, swing it's sword and move, which is also maybe how it was able to move the way it did to exit the hole from before.
"Guess I gotta kill that?"
I say, the soul underneath the armor, wiggles a bit, then the colorful armor, stretches out it's entire body. As if it's like a octopus and covers the wide range of the entire tunnel.
The sword in one hand it swings, to me.
I run. Sprinting away from it's direction, stretching the distance between us.
If this was before the armor, wouldn't even be able to hit me, but the now tendril like armor, is pulling far and with sword in hand, it gains on me.
The sword swings down to me and cuts into my back, feeling the fabric of both my shirt and my bag tearing slightly.
I feel my body tense.
Before the sword gets to deep into my back, I move way further back into the darkness, making the light from before nearly impossible to see, meaning that I'm stuck with the light from my arrows again.
Flopping to my stomach, I groan, but I don't have much time.
I hear the clinking sound of the armor.
I push myself to my back.
Tapping the sigil, I use the light, even brighter than before since I'm using my Soul Energy to brighten it.
The knight is like a monster looking thing now, but somehow not monster colored.
The sword of the armor now comes to me ready to strike me down, my heart beats heavily.
In a panic, I pull the string and release a single massive light of blue, the arrow gets sent flying. The arrow goes flying.
The armor, uses the bracer part of the set and tries to cover the white shine coming from beneath the armor.
By the fate of God, the arrow shoots right through the bracer, making the bracer shot in many directions. The arrow continues it's direction.
Soon the arrow makes contact with the white tendril like light coming from beneath the armor. Making a weird small firework looking explosion inside of the armor.
My body goes slump as I wait for the sword to make contact with me, butit never comes, the colorfulness of the set stays still, not moving.
The sword, inches from my body and armor set in the same way it was made to as before.
Parts separated, but stood in the same positions as the white light had left it in.
Rolling away from the sword, not trying to make any contact with the ever changing sword color.
I put my bow up, touching the sigil, I use the arrow to shine a light in the darkness.
"What the hell?"
I look at the set in different areas, and with different placements.
"Wow, I saw the aura, but I didn't think it would actually be like that."
I scratch the back of my head and begin to maneuvre around the armor, afraid that if I even touch the set, something different might happen to it, making it an even bigger piece of crap to have to deal with.
Soon I get to the furthest armor piece, that being the chest plate that has a hole coming right through it.
"Careful. Careful."
I tell myself as I go past the armor, the chest plate being the biggest and annoying piece that made moving through the tunnel annoying.
I get past the the armor and let out a breathe that I felt like I was being held the entire time.
The light from before is in view again.
Walking again, I continue through the tunnel again, as I get closer.
I feel the ground beneath me sink in slightly.
'I did not just do that?'
For a second, I wait.
Nothing.
"No shakes? Holes opening? Annoying knights?"
I ask the emptiness of the tunnel.
No response in any way.
Huffing and puffing, I continue, this time... WAY more cautious of where I step.
Soon the edge of the tunnel is near and I see the light on an even clearer light.
The dirt under me, looking to become another texture. Completely tunring into marble underneath me. Following the marble I see an opening, that leads into a giant open area, with a platform in the middle, suspended in the air by the marble foot way that connects to underneath my feet and on the opposite side of where I'm standing another opening.
'Might be an exit.'
On the platform is a giant swirls sphere, with many rings on outside, and a ball of light in the middle of it.
Looking up I see what looks to be...
"Are those train tracks?"
As I ask myself that question, I feel rumbling, heavy rumbling. Not only that, but the sound of a train quickly approaching.
Quickly, I jump close to the wall on the left and cling to it, holding myself close, afraid that whatever is on that train would very likely want me dead for finding this.
The sound of the train gets closer and closer and closer.
Rumbling worsens as it does so.
The sound of the train coming grows loud, making a screeching sound as it flies past, then the train sound now, growing more distant as it leaves, and the rumbling slowly stops.
"Thank God."
I say to myself as I put my hand to my chest.
I turn back to the train tracks and let out a calming breath.
"What a day!"
Going back to the marble, I follow the pathway.
Stopping in the middle, I head for the edge of the bridge and look over it.
Staring into a dark abyss of nothing.
"That's deep..."
Fixing my bow in front of myself I pull the string, tap the sigil and let the arrow fly.
The light of the bright arrow continue and continues and continues. Only to stop when the arrow dematerializes from existence.
"...as SHIT."
I let out a scared chuckle, then move away from the edge of the bridge.
Shaking my head, I continue down the path.
"Let's stay far away from there."
Soon, I get to the middle, and feel it, the warmth coming from the ever swirling ball.
"Fffffrrreeeee meeee..."
A voice, devoid of any emotion is calling.
I look all around me.
No one.
I look at the edge of the platform with fear in my eyes and my only though in that moment:
"God. Please don't be from the abyss."
"Imprissssonnned..."
Turning my attention away from the edge, I look at the swirling ball, rembering the warmth that Steel would give me when he touched me.
"It's alive?"
"Ffffrrrreeee meeee..."
"What are you?"
"A Prissssonnnerrr..."
"Why?"
"Strronngg... Use my powwerrr..."
I feel my breath be taken away by what in front of me.
"What happened?"
"Eeeevilll wonnn, Capturrred."
"Why can't you free yourself?"
"Don't knnow.."
For an intriguing moment I reach my hand out and the swirling stop.
Making my heart drop to my butt.
The white ball from beneath all of the moves quickly and then flies to myself.
"Thank you."
The voice now, with emotion, but stoic emotion.
"You're welcome."
I say with a scared breath:
"Can you help me leave this place?"
A line of white appears before myself.
"Follow the line... But... in exchange..."
The ball floats in front of me.
"I want you to protect me."
"How?"
My eyes look at the ball with massive confusion.
"Your bow. I'll sleep inside of your bow, and if you ever need my help. I'll grant it to you. If not, in this form... I'll slowly disappear to the Soul tree."
"So, you want me to let you into my bow? Like a house?"
"And I'll be there to help you when needed."
The voice says calmly.
Holding my bow up in front of myself I look down to it, then to the ball.
'I'm gonna regret this...'
"Okay. I'll let you live in my bow."
"When you need my help. I'll be there to help. And young one..."
The white orb pauses for a second:
"This isn't something that you can tell anyone, not even your closest friend."
Before I can get a word in the white ball rushes to my bow and as they both make contact it disappears with no other words exchanged.
Covering my face, I nearly drop the bow.
"I was really expecting some big explosion..."
Darkness takes over the area as the orb entered my bow, but the line that was left behind is enough light to understand the things needed to stand on, and which to stay away from.
Slinging my bow over my shoulder, and with a massive stretch that pops my back, I follow the line.
