Chapter 49 - The Strongest of Reight: Jahar

I lean against the railing to the arena and the guard that is here, move beside me.

"You have to sit down boy."

His voice is deep as his hand rests on the hilt of sword by his side on his hip.

"If we make one person stand at the edge, everyone would flood to it."

He says giving me a reason to sit down.

My mind is flooded with rage for a second, but I don't react to him.

I just stare down at the woman that angers me, because she should have been imprisoned, or killed, but NO... She's here being put on a pedestal for being the strongest.

It infuriates me.

The guard puts his hand on my shoulder for me to look at him.

"Sit."

Nearly ready to hit the guard, as I clenched my fist.

I turn and see the blue aura of the man, calming me, because I know, he's just doing his job.

I turn back toward Wes and walk over to the seat, getting a good look at the same person that has given me a huge amount of rage.

"Are you okay?"

Wes asks as I sit down right beside him on the seat and stare down towards Jahar, with a huge amount of rage.

"Lazi?"

He calls for me, but my mind is clouded.

'That knight better kill her.'

Wes stand up and walks in front of me.

"Dude? Are you good?"

Once his body blocks the full vision of her, it's like my mind reverts slightly back to how it was before.

"What? Sorry."

"I asked if you were okay."

"Yeah. Im great."

He pauses and looks down to me.

"Sit man, the main show is about to start."

I say in a that says I want to watch the rest, but I only want to see Jahar die.

Wes shakes his head, but regardless, he moves and he sits down.

Watching the fight with a glance in my way, seeing a weird thing about this all.

"Didn't you want to leave?"

"I decided to stay, after all you paid coin for this. Why not enjoy it."

Wes shakes his head, annoyed, but doesn't ask another question. Just turning his head and watching, truly watching this time.

The knight moves fast, the armor around his body, bleeding out the color of a very dark blue, trying to meet purple in the middle but not there yet.

The knight lifts the axe into the air, as Jahar, also runs forward, ready to slash at the torso of the knight from below, the knights body.

She catches the axe's silver in the air and spins out of the way as she repositions herself beside the body of the knight and tries to stab into the metal.

The knight doesn't let her, as soon as the axe is nearly ready to cut int the ground, the knight switches his own grip and changes the trajectory will, what looks to be much practice.

The sharp end is close to Jahar's face as she drops to the groud to avoid the insane sharpness of the metal.

As soon as the axe goes flying from above her head, and the knight has missed her completely she returns to a good position, pushing herself off of the ground and stepping back. She lands somewhat gracefully on her back leg and saves herself.

The knight has to do a full three sixty to try and position themselves correctly again.

Jahar, doesn't let the chance get to waste, as soon as her second foot touches the ground she burst forward, her black aura, ready covering her sword as well.

I look at her face, and my face, cuts through the darkness to see that she has a smile on her face.

"They better kill her..."

I say it quietly to myself, but somehow Wes still heard.

"What'd you say?"

"Nothing."

I shake my head, not moving it to even look at Wes.

"Oh. Okay."

The knight is nearly going to return to they're position again, but they're not turning fast enough for them to be able to get safe enough.

Jahar's dark tipped sword makes contact with the metal armor, the same way it was going to before, slowly the darkness disappears into the metal, but before it's able to get an inch deeper, the knights spinning momentum throws her away, with her holding her sword.

The knight, unknowing about throwing her, turns in the direction that she was once previously standing, look at it in confusion.

As Jahar, stabs her sword into the ground and stops herself, from flying away any further.

"Beside you!"

Someone in the crowd says, making Jahar scowl.

The knight turns their body and ready's themselves again, holding the axe by it's hilt and making it sharp end be held up by the ground.

The knight readies themselves for Jahar and Jahar does the same.

Jahar pulls her sword out f the ground and stands up holding the sword in a stance that, I don't think anyone has seen.

Her sword pointed in the air at a sideways tile, in front of herself, her opposite forearm behidn the blade.

The knight tilts their head perplexed at the stance, she steps her foot wide, at shoulder width one up front the other back.

Everyone looks at the weird stance in awe, but me, I look at her in anger, I also see the difference in strength between them, noticing the very difference in strength between both of the two opponents.

The blue aura, that's nearing purple. Is something that may be rare, but if it's not purple, I don't think that they would even have a chance to even manage to hurt her.

The black color of the sword seems to grow even darker. Pulling me into a scary sense of fear of the woman.

The knight rushes in toward Jahar, and sharpens the axe with the ground as they rushes forward.

Jahar's aura extends out of her body now as well. Growing more, and more, and more out of her body.

Now, somehow nearly surrounding her, turning the air around her into a tornado of black energy.

The knight lifts the axe high into the air and gets ready to cut Jahar at an angle, bringing it into the air high above her and just as she brings it down to strike at Jahar, Jahar cuts the same direction of the axe, her forearm, for a quick second looking like she's pushing the sword toward the axe for more power.

The axe and sword collide together and there's a great spark between the both of them, soon the both of them begin to move again, after being stuck in a short stalemate.

But they aren't both on equal footing, instead the one that has even more power compared to the other is Jahar. She steps further and further toward the knight, managing to slowly push back the suited person.

Then with a smile on her face, she puts her entire strength into pushing her sword and manages to cut the axe. Taking the entire sharp end off, as she darts right past the knight with too much strength in her legs to keep her still so she goes flying right past the knight.

She stomps her feet into the ground to stop herself from going any further, but kicking up the arenas infrastructure even more, she stops right before the hole, in the ground that was left from when the hulking man ripped it out of the ground.

She waves her hands out a bit and stand straight again.

The knight looks at the sharp end on the ground, then at the blunt end on in they're hands.

Jahar smiles.

Her blacked aura returning to normal, not covering herself, like a void of darkness.

I didn't notice it until now, but my eye hurts, like really hurts.

I touch my eye and feel an insane amount of blood. I close my eye and try to wipe away the blood from it, not wanting to be caught by Wes if he were ever to look at me.

The knight doesn't back down, instead they walk forward, ignoring the fact that they no longer have a sharp end of their axe.

They stomp harder into the ground as they take steps, each stronger than the next. Each pushing debris up.

Jahar's smile drops, now changed with a look of uncertainty. The knight jumps high enough into the air and manages to stomp right toward Jahar.

Jahar jumps out of the way and repositions herself, trying to get back into that same stance as before, but the knight is relentless.

Swinging the axe with it's extended range, again and again trying to hit Jahar, bt Jahar, every time manages to just barely get out of the way.

Jumping around like a circus act, but never stepping out of range.

The knight moves closer with each swing, the knight jumps forward suddenly and instead of swinging the blunt axe, they throw it with as much strength as they can exert, making it fly right towards Jahar. Jahar, can't dodge it, and it feels like the sword just manages to stop in front of her for a split second.

She swings her sword right toward the blunt axe, she doesn't cut it, but she changes it's trajectory, with the cost to her sword, snapping in half, giving her no tip and leaving her with an even shorter sword and a blunt end at the top.

The knight jumps right to Jahar, they swing their fist and punch Jahar square in the face, launching her back toward the wall. She slams into the wall, with blood spilling out of her mouth and a massive grunt. She looks back at the knight.

The knight burst towards her again, they get ready to punch Jahar in the face, the exact same again. This time instead of being hit by the knight Jahar, tilts her head away from the punch, and swings her sword to cut at the part that was stabbed a bit, and the sword just clinks off of the armor, not without leaving a very small crack.

Jahar jumps up, with a ringing sword in he hand, and just as the knight is about to send another strike to Jahar, she pushes the knight away, with a double foot kicked. Pushing the knight away and making Jahar, have a second of breathing space.

The knight stops themselves. Jahar, not wanting to leave the knight a moment of peace blasts at the knight and once more, swings at the same spot, only to e greeted with a clang.

The knight doesn't let her move to far, grabbing Jahar's wrist and swing her into the air, then letting her slam into the gorund, with another grunt and blood jumping out of her mouth.

She pushes herself up immediately as, the knight is ready to stomp her head in, as Jahar jumps up into the air, pushing the foot back and making the knight slowly step back.

Jahar met the bottom of the kights foot with a clank, her head sounding like it had metal in it.

Jahar, ignores the pain and once more, Jahar swings the shorter sword into the same area, this time with double the strength as before and manages to break through the armor from the crack, and from the part that was broken to the other side of the armor, she cuts into the knight.

A line of blood spilling out of the armor and blood covering the sword as it is pulled out the other side.

The knight stands for a second, and their metal hand touches their torso. As they look at the blood on their hands the knight gives a nod and falls to the ground with a massive CLUNK.

The colosseum goes quiet, and through the horns that the announcer has been speaking through:

"The winner of Sqeua's Strongest Tournament is: Jahar Talo!"
