Chapter 1: The Quiet Village
Maya lived in a peaceful green village surrounded by rivers, rice fields, and mango trees. Everyone in the village knew her as a kind, hardworking, and intelligent girl. She helped her parents in the fields and also taught small children in the village school.
Although Maya loved her village deeply, she sometimes dreamed of the big world outside. She often sat near the river at sunset and wondered what life in a big city looked like.
One day news arrived that a young man from the city would visit the village to start a development project. Nobody knew that this visit would completely change Maya's life.
