Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Intruders from the Outer Sect

Without exception, after entering the secret realm, everyone stood still and looked around for a moment before stepping through the air toward Ye Wusheng's direction!

"What the hell is going on here?"

Ye Wusheng was utterly confused. Wasn't this a sealed secret realm? Why were so many people suddenly appearing out of nowhere?

The crowd swarmed in. Half an hour later, after tailing several groups, Ye Wusheng finally learned what was happening outside.

It turned out that these cultivators in different outfits were all disciples from large and small sects within a thousand miles.

From their conversations, Ye Wusheng also learned that ever since this place was sealed by a powerful restriction,

it opened wide once every three hundred years, naturally turning it into an opportunity-filled secret realm that all outside sects craved.

However, any cultivator who wished to enter had to be below the Elemental Opening Realm.

Anyone at or above that realm would be blocked outside by the powerful restriction.

And so, every three hundred years, all major and minor sects within a thousand miles—whether righteous or demonic—would send their disciples here to seek opportunities.

But in the end, whoever gained insight, found treasures, or took the spoils would have to fight for it through bloodshed and conflict.

"No wonder the murderous aura is so dense. It's not just from the remains of the Demon Ancestors, but also from all the past sect disciples who died here!"

Leaning against a large tree, Ye Wusheng wore an amused expression.

Many small groups of sect disciples had hurried past him along the way, but Ye Wusheng was not interested in them at all.

None of this meant anything to him. The only reason he hadn't left in a hurry was that he saw this place as the perfect spot to do good deeds!

With that thought, Ye Wusheng slowly strode toward the direction where most of the disciples had gathered.

By now, the sky was gradually brightening. He hadn't taken a close look at his surroundings earlier, but now he realized the secret realm had long since formed a unique world of its own.

All around, he could hear the surprised exclamations of disciples who'd discovered various spirit herbs.

If he hadn't heard it with his own ears, he would've thought they were just ordinary weeds!

Still, Ye Wusheng did not stop. He continued heading deeper into the realm.

A bold idea had quietly appeared in his mind.

But this was only the beginning. He would let the disciples explore for a while longer.

About the time it took to burn an incense stick later, the ground beneath Ye Wusheng's feet had unknowingly turned from brown to black.

He intended to stop and investigate, but as soon as he landed, he heard the sounds of fighting in the distance.

Ye Wusheng immediately crouched down and rushed toward the source. Before long, through the dense dead woods, he saw a group of disciples split into two factions, locked in a standoff.

On one side were disciples in blue-gold robes holding longswords.

On the other were demonic sect disciples draped entirely in black robes, wielding all kinds of weapons.

"Nie Wuchang! Don't push your luck, Bloodfiend Sect! Do you really think my Longsword Sect fears you?!"

Luo Changying, the leading disciple of the Longsword Sect, drew his sword and shouted angrily.

"Yeah! This Asura Grass was found by us first! What do you mean, split it?!"

A female disciple behind him immediately echoed, and the atmosphere turned tense.

"Jie jie… Playing hard to get, are we? Very well, then hand it all over!"

Nie Wuchang, the demonic disciple, let out two eerie laughs.

Before his voice even faded, his two pitch-black claw weapons slashed straight toward Luo Changying's face!

CLANG!!!

A sharp, ear-piercing clash of metal suddenly rang out.

Luo Changying was clearly on guard. His longsword moved like a shooting star, quickly blocking in front of him.

In an instant, the disciples from both sides charged at each other, engaging their opponents. The scene descended into chaos.

Ye Wusheng stood to the side, watching the back-and-forth battle. A faint smile tugged at his lips as he crossed his arms and enjoyed the show.

Both Luo Changying's group and Nie Wuchang's men were at the Body Forging Realm, but the Bloodfiend Sect disciples were clearly at a higher overall level than those of the Longsword Sect.

They could fight evenly for now, but given time, unless something changed, the Longsword Sect would definitely fall into a disadvantage.

Although Ye Wusheng had never heard of either sect, he understood that those chosen to enter here must be elite disciples from their respective sects.

They must all have hidden trump cards. This small skirmish probably wouldn't end so quickly.

Sure enough, as Ye Wusheng was thinking this, the battle between Luo Changying and Nie Wuchang turned bloody.

Demonic sect techniques were inherently strange and unpredictable. Luo Changying lost focus for a split second and was struck hard in the chest by Nie Wuchang's black claws. His face paled instantly, and he stumbled back, nearly falling.

Nie Wuchang immediately seized the chance, lunging after him. His claws left afterimages in the air.

By the time Luo Changying reacted and blocked, his chest was already torn open with several gashes, bleeding heavily!

"Senior Brother Luo!"

"Brother, are you alright?!"

Seeing their senior brother injured after only a few exchanges, the Longsword Sect disciples called out worriedly while fending off their opponents.

This was no ordinary sparring back at the sect. If Luo Changying fell, none of them would make it out alive today!

"I'm fine! Ignore me! Focus on fighting!"

Luo Changying lived up to his status as an elite Longsword Sect disciple. These superficial wounds meant little to him, and he quickly regained his composure.

But he also knew his group was no match for Nie Wuchang's men. If this dragged on, not a single one of them would escape.

With that thought, Luo Changying threw his longsword into the air and chanted silently.

In an instant, the sword hovered and trembled. The next second, a giant sword phantom materialized, accompanied by rumbling thunder. The might was so great that even the dead trees nearby shook.

"Nie Wuchang! Today you will taste the power of my Longsword Sect's ultimate technique!"

Luo Changying roared, decisively unleashing his secret skill, hoping to severely injure Nie Wuchang and earn a slim chance of survival.

But how could Nie Wuchang wait idly for death? He wasn't a fool.

He had already started gathering power the moment Luo Changying threw his sword.

"Longsword Piercing the Sky!"

Just as Luo Changying's giant sword slashed down with thunderous force—

In a flash, Nie Wuchang smirked contemptuously, spun his body, and vanished on the spot.

BOOM!!!

A deafening explosion followed. Weeds and stones flew everywhere, and the ground trembled violently.

Where Nie Wuchang had stood only moments before, a trench dozens of feet wide had already appeared.

But Nie Wuchang was nowhere to be seen.

Long before the giant sword fell, Luo Changying had sensed Nie Wuchang retreating. But his attack was already launched and could not be recalled.

He simply hadn't expected Nie Wuchang to refuse a head-on clash and choose to flee instead!

"Tsk tsk…"

Ye Wusheng, watching from the sidelines, shook his head in amusement.

Regardless of how powerful that strike was, wasn't Luo Changying being way too naive?

Who uses their ultimate move right at the start?
