"Oh, Lucy." Makarov said as he was sitting on the counter, "I received a letter from your Father. I believe he wishes for you to visit the Mansion over the weekend."
Lucy and Erza had walked into the building when Makarov had spotted them, calling Lucy over and relaying the information.
Lucy was blinking, "Papa did....?" She said, "Did something happen?"
Makarov shook his head, "Oh, I don't know." He said, "Maybe your Mother has grown lonely and wishes to see you."
Erza smiled slightly, "Maybe we should visit Miss Layla." She said, "After all, she's one of the guild's investors."
"Hm, yes." Makarov said as he took a sip from a mug that Mirajane handed to him, "The Heartfilia Family has really done Fairy Tail a great favor in funding our endeavors. It's mostly because of Lucy, I'm sure."
Lucy blushed slightly, "Well, I don't know about that." She said, "I mean, I am grateful that my Mother put in a good word for me when I wanted to join...but all of this is making me feel like a Nepotism Baby..."
"You're my favorite Nepotism Baby." Makarov smirked mischievously, "You bring in lots of money."
"When you think about it, the guild is mostly based on nepotism." Erza said, "Master Makarov's father was a founding member, from what I was told."
Makarov frowned, "Oh, yea." He said, "I forgot about that."
Mirajane approached from behind the bar counter, "But I like the fact that Lucy's family is helping out." She said, "I mean, without the Heartfilia trust, we wouldn't have such good cooks working to feed our hard-working mages."

"Lucy joining changed the guild for the better, I wouldn't have it any other way." Makarov nodded, "Yep. Yep."
Makarov was referring to the fact that around a year prior, Lucy Heartfilia had joined Fairy Tail. Because she was a young Celestial Mage, Makarov found her with promising potential. He accepted her at the behest of Layla Heartfilia, Lucy's mother, who asked him to give her a chance.
Makarov sent Lucy on a mission with Natsu Dragneel, the local troublemaker, and after a successful mission, he had told Layla that Lucy would have been accepted without her request regardless. As a thank you for allowing Lucy to join, Layla started a trust fund for Fairy Tail, giving the guild some more money to upgrade their base's necessities. Due to this, the Guild members have seen an improvement as members.
Despite feeling as a nepotism baby, Lucy is seen as a beloved member of the guild. It didn't matter who her mother was and more importantly, it didn't matter who her brother was. To the guild, she was just another precious member.
"Speaking of nepotism and Lucy's family...." Mirajane said, "Master, wasn't Lucy's uncle a member of Fairy Tail."
Makarov scowled, "Bahhh!" He exclaimed, "Don't even bring him up!"
"Eh?" Lucy blinked, "W-what is it?"
"Fucking Galein Glory...." Makarov said, "Don't even say his name. There's still a sour taste in my mouth after what happened."
"Whatever happened?" Erza asked, "I've heard about Galein Glory. Stories say that he was the mightiest swordsmen in Fiore."
"He's a dirty liar and a cheat." Makarov scowled even more, "The fool doesn't want to admit that he cheated me in that game of baccarat!!"
"Ah, Master." Mirajane chuckled, "Don't be a sore loser."
"Bah!" Makarov said, "Yes, that idiot was known as a mighty swordsman. But he left the guild before any of you joined. He went ahead and started his own family."
"Oh, right." Lucy said, "My cousins...."
"What do you know of them?" Erza asked Lucy, "Your cousins."
"I've met them once or twice." Lucy said, "My Father really doesn't like my Uncles...."
"Galein is a cheat, I wouldn't be surprised." Makarov grumbled
"But my Uncle was a Fairy Tail mage?" Lucy asked, "I really didn't know. Mother doesn't speak much about her brothers."
"He was known as our Ace, before Gildarts. Hell, he was that idiot's rival." Makarov said, "He was strong and brought in a lot of money with the way he completed missions. Reminds me of someone we all know, wouldn't you say the same?"
Lucy frowned and looked down, "He doesn't come often..." She said, "Nii-san...."
"Lucian Glory...." Mirajane said, "One of our S-Class Mages....a scary one....."
"You're one too." Erza told her
"But Lucian is stronger than me." Mirajane admitted
"That brat does whatever he wants." Makarov grumbled, "Exactly like Galein. It angers me so."
"Yea...." Lucy said
"Do you think he'll go and visit your mother?" Erza asked Lucy
"I hope so." Lucy said softly, "I miss him."
"I'm sure you do." Makarov said, "But that brat is but an imbecile, not caring for anyone's feelings."
"I do wonder what he's up to."
