Chapter 3 - Birth of the Sun

Outside the cavern, rain intensity increased, the thunder crackled as if doomsday was coming. Seeing the ominous clouds and sinister phenomena, the natives prayed for salvation. These phenomena were not restricted to the planet but similar if not more forbidding and portentous omens were happening all around the universe. Be it gods, demons or emperors across the universe, their capitals, their residences were covered with sky full of dark clouds gathering as if foreshadowing their doom.

Seeing the signs, everyone was filled with trepidation.

In a faraway divine realm, seeing the signs a certain god exclaimed "He is coming. His birth is near".

In Demon Realm, the demons were afraid, while one of the strongest demon mad in rage, questioned his subordinates "Why haven't he been killed despite the Edict"

"We failed to kill him and still have to bear the infamy of the bloodshed" an emperor complained while sitting on his throne and addressing his close confidants.

Soon everyone started giving orders for search. All meaning the same "Search, search every corner of the universe. Let it be known, anyone suspected to be him must be immediately captured and dealt with. He must not be allowed to grow up."

New Edicts, Royal Decrees were being announced across the universe.

While the upheaval was going across the universe, the one who caused it had still his eyes closed for he was still in the womb of his mother Seraphina, who was screaming her lungs out and trying to give birth to him.

"Your Majesty, try to push again, he is almost out" Jara encouraged Seraphina.

"Aaah… Aaah" Seraphina shouted as her voice went hoarse from all the screaming.

"His head is out, just one last push Your Majesty" Jara shouted in excitement.

"Aaaaaaaaaah…." Seraphina used her last bit of remaining strength, and finally, the child came into the world.

Dark clouds present at places across the universe rumbled, thunder crackled and then with the birth of the child, lightning struck the realms of gods, the mansions of demons, and palaces of the emperors. It did no damage, just a mark on their thrones as if warning them that the one with power to kill them, the one with strength to rule over them, and the one who can bend them to his will has arrived.

On the planet, the sun rose as the thunder struck the ceiling of the cavern as it blew a hole in it through, with which the first ray of dawn passed on through the gap to fall directly upon the child.

The child did not cry. Jara, her hands trembling with a mixture of excitement and reverence, gently wiped the grime of birth from his form, revealing his features which could be said to be born from the same mould as his mother.

The boy was crowned not with the common dark black hairs as his ancestors and clan members, but with fine silver hairs which caught the solitary beam of dawn like spun moonlight, glowing with an ethereal luster that seemed to push back the shadows of the cave. His skin was flawless, pale as alabaster, with a healthy pink blush on his cheeks, radiating a warmth that caused the damp air to hum with vitality.

As Jara cradled him in her arms, the child's eyelids fluttered. His eyes were vast pools of infinite black, darker than the void between the stars, as if everything could sink into them and to never rise again. Deep within those obsidian depths, slight golden hues occasionally flashed like the lightning in the clouds. The golden hues shone in his black eyes like twinkling stars in dark night.

The moment those black eyes filled with shining golden dust saw the light of the world, the universe responded.

Across the stars, the omens that had terrorized the gods, demons, emperors and people quietly dissipated. Auspicious signs ignited in every corner of the universe. The suffocating dark clouds that had loomed over the capitals of gods and the mansions of demons recoiled, surrendering to a celestial glow—as if welcoming the first true dawn after an age of unbroken night of their rule.

Gods, Demons and Emperors all felt their hearts stopping for a second, as if someone had clutched it in their hands. They felt fear for the first time after ruling the universe for eons. As they realized, that the one who will end their rule, their dominion has been born. The common people across the universe just felt a new hope rise in their hearts, as if the universe has given them the breather they desperately needed, but were denied by the powerful.

On the planet and for the natives, the changes were most profound. The people, who had been huddled in their houses praying to their ancestors were overcome by joy from their hearts. As the trepidation, the fear that had gripped their hearts vanished, replaced by an inexplicable warmth.

They did not know what happened, why they were feeling this strange warmth. They did not know of Seraphina or the silver-haired babe who just took his first breath. Yet, an unexplainable but collective realization rippled through the hearts of all. The farmers in the fields, the slaves in the mines, the servants trampled by their master's cruelty and the beggars on the street, all looked toward the horizon with tears of joy.

They felt it in their very marrow: The Prophesized One has been born. A hope had become a reality, and with it, the simple, human promise that the future might actually be different.

Jara gazed at the baby with eyes filled with love, her voice a mere whisper. "I don't know if you are the one the heavens feared" she breathed, watching his innocent face, "but if yes, then welcome child, the world has been waiting for you." Jara beamed

"May your birth bring dawn to the dark life of the oppressed as prophesized, for if you are the one, then may you become the brightest Sun." Jara gave her blessings.

Lady Seraphina, tired from giving birth, smiled happily listening to the blessings given by Jara to her son.

"Jara, let me hold him."
