Chapter 179 - Chapter 179. The Demon Ancestor and Dao Ancestor

Chapter 179. The Demon Ancestor and Dao Ancestor

Hongjun Daoren repeatedly emphasized that to achieve the Great Dao, one needs great fortune, great perseverance, and great wisdom—all three are indispensable.

This is the origin of the saying. This is a lesson He personally experienced, a bloody lesson! With such a cautionary tale before his eyes, how could He not emphasize it repeatedly?

"So, the Immortal Path has this past." Nuwa, standing nearby, heard Hongjun Daoren's self-talk and, while shocked, also felt it was quite natural.

The Immortal Path encompasses everything, with countless Daoist techniques and supernatural powers passed down, containing various, different, and contradictory philosophies.

Many powerful beings had already secretly suspected that the Immortal Path's profound and extensive heritage was not created by one person, but rather a culmination of the wisdom of many.

However, the Dao Ancestor remained silent, and the powerful beings dared not ask further, fearing to displease the Dao Ancestor. In any case, regardless of the nature of the Immortal Path's heritage, the benefits they received were real and undeniable.

Then why risk offending the Dao Ancestor to explore that elusive source of immortality?

  "Eh?"

Just as Nuwa was engrossed in listening, Hongjun Daoist suddenly let out a soft "Eh," stopping his mutterings.

Curious, Nuwa looked up and saw Hongjun Daoist staring intently at the Floating Pagoda, his face filled with doubt and uncertainty.

"Fellow Daoist Rahu, everyone's here. Why haven't you shown yourself yet?" After frowning and scrutinizing the Floating Pagoda for a while, Hongjun Daoist suddenly relaxed, a teasing expression on his face, and spoke to the pagoda.

  "What?!"

  "The Demon Ancestor has arrived!?"

Hearing Hongjun's words, Nuwa felt a surge of tension and quickly released her divine sense, scanning her surroundings. She only felt the surrounding void was vast and boundless, filled with endless Daoist energy, and she couldn't find the Demon Ancestor Rahu's figure.

In her confusion, she saw Hongjun Daoist smile lightly, waving his whisk at the Floating Pagoda. A purple light flashed, dazzlingly beautiful, and the Floating Pagoda underwent a sudden change.

A dark aura emanated from it, a profound sense of death, and a sinister demonic atmosphere. The Floating Pagoda trembled slightly, and strange demonic patterns appeared on its body, terrifying and surging into the air, constantly evolving and weaving into an unparalleled demonic shadow. It was none other than the Demon Ancestor Rahu!

Nuwa was utterly shocked upon seeing this!

What level of cultivation did he possess? He had already reached the realm of a Saint, and it would not be an exaggeration to say that he was at the pinnacle of the primordial world.

Yet, even so, before Hongjun Daoren made his move, she had not noticed a single abnormality until the Demon Ancestor Rahu appeared, at which point she was suddenly jolted awake.

Just how high had the Demon Ancestor

  Rahu's cultivation reached?

Moreover, Nuwa was certain that this Demon Ancestor Rahu was not a Saint; he did not possess the unique Heavenly Dao aura belonging to Saints.

In other words, the Demon Ancestor Rahu was not a Saint, yet he possessed strength far exceeding that of ordinary Saints.

Such an incredible thing was simply beyond Nuwa's imagination. The sage who should have been invincible in the primordial world actually has an enemy?!

"The waters of this primordial world are deeper and more turbid than I imagined; even a sage cannot see the whole picture. " "I truly don't know what inconceivable realm Pangu was in back then to create such a magnificent and diverse world as the primordial world."

Various thoughts flashed through her mind, but Nuwa showed no emotion on her face. She quietly retreated to the side, coming behind Hongjun Daoist, and silently watched the confrontation between the two supreme Dao Ancestors.

"Haha! Fellow Daoist Hongjun, since we parted in ancient times, we have never crossed paths again. Today, I see that you have changed quite a bit."

"Back then, how spirited you were, leading a group of immortals from the Xuanmen Sect, storming into the West and attacking my Demonic Cult's ancestral court! But look at you now! Even if you've cultivated the Great Dao and are invincible, you're bound by the Heavenly Dao, unable to control your own destiny, confined to the Zixiao Palace, deprived of freedom."

"Far less carefree than I am!"

"What's the point of your attainment of Dao?"

Luo Hou, his demonic thoughts hidden within the Floating Pagoda, forced out by Hongjun, showed no embarrassment. Instead, he laughed loudly, seizing on Hongjun's loss of freedom due to merging with the Dao, and demanded an answer.

The voice was majestic, containing a chilling demonic intent, carrying a seductive power that tempted the mind, shook the Dao heart, and led people to fall into demonic ways. Wherever it passed, ripples spread; it was truly an unparalleled demonic sound.

  "Heh!"

"So many years have passed, yet you haven't changed. You still prefer to hide your face, plotting and scheming in the shadows, afraid to show yourself, revealing a petty and narrow-minded nature!"

Facing Luo Hou's questioning, Hongjun smiled slightly, his face showing mockery, directly pointing to Luo Hou's past actions and sarcastically remarking.

The voice was high and vast, like the celestial sound of the Great Dao. Wherever it passed, it was like a gentle breeze, completely obliterating the strange phenomena caused by the demonic sound.

  "Is that so?"

"Then why don't you consider, if I truly intended to remain hidden in the shadows, why would I appear here?"

Before the words were finished, Luo Hou moved. He slightly raised his right hand, and a phantom spear suddenly appeared. This spear was entirely blood-red, radiating a god-slaying intent, incomparably ferocious.

That was the God-Slaying Spear, the most supreme killing treasure of the primordial world. Its power was no weaker than that of a primordial treasure, and perhaps even slightly surpassed it.

Without any warning, Luo Hou raised the God-Slaying Spear in his hand and fiercely thrust it towards Hongjun.

The spear tip gleamed with a cold light, a hint of bloodlust appearing on its surface.

It was incomparably sharp, seemingly capable of piercing through everything; even the Heavenly Dao itself could not withstand it. It could be seen that wherever the spear tip passed, the void was silently destroyed, the Great Dao quietly withered away, leaving nothing behind; everything returned to nothingness.

  "Master, be careful!"

Faced with the sharp edge of the God-Slaying Spear, even Nuwa, with her cultivation, felt a chill and a sense of danger, and couldn't help but cry out.

"No rush, this is but a minor matter!"

Shaking his head, Hongjun waved his whisk, and the Zixiao Palace shone brightly, with Daoist sounds resounding, and three thousand Great Daos manifested, vast and mighty, destroying the illusory image of the God-Slaying Spear.

"Fellow Daoist, you have merged with the Dao to mend the Heavenly Dao for the sake of all living beings in the primordial world; your compassion is truly great!"

"But have you considered the Xuanmen?"

"To merge with the Dao requires following the Heavenly Dao; there can be no deviation. If one day in the future, the Heavenly Dao intends to promote the demonic path, then you will need to personally intervene to suppress the Xuanmen, causing the demonic path to rise and the Dao to fall."

"As the master of the Xuanmen, how will you conduct yourself then?"

"I hope you will consider this carefully!"

  "Haha!"

However, just as the three thousand Great Daos were about to strike Luo Hou, he smiled strangely and spoke to Hongjun.

Then, with a deafening boom, Luo Hou's demonic thoughts exploded, unleashing boundless demonic energy that swept across the entire Zixiao Palace.

Luo Hou knew that with just a single demonic thought, he was no match for Hongjun; either way, he would be annihilated. So, he resorted to his signature move: self-destruction!

I don't expect to harm Hongjun; just easing his burden would be good enough.
