Stubborn Lady
Leo ignored me and turned to an average slender lady. She was slender and had long dark hair. The way they hugged and greeted each other made me realize they must have known each other for a long time.
She was quite beautiful the way she looked at him shows she really liked him. She didn't seem to acknowledge me even though I right in front of her,
This guy is really annoying he didn't even apologize for the way he harassed me last night but yet I apologize to him, I haven't even get to know him enough i already despise him he is soo egocentric
Still lost in thought cursing him my dad called me to come on stage it time for the handing over.
Soon Dad gave a speech about the company and how it all started from scratch and how he used to be CEO and he is now handing it over to me.
The whole people applauded, smiling. I caught Leo staring at Emma then to me. He didn't clap, he kept his face blank, not smiling. He got tired of the place and was about to leave but was stopped by Eric. And they went outside to talk.
I gave my speech and as I was done I got down from the stage while the guest applauded me and shook my hand. The staff of Daniels CO came and introduced themselves to me.
I turned my eyes searching for Eric but she saw him with Emma as if having an argument with her " maybe Leo must have told him everything" I thought inwardly.
I wanted to leave but the guests that were greeting me were many and the press wanted to talk to me. I was very occupied.
While talking to the managing director I accidentally missed my step and almost fell but I felt a huge big hand wrapped around my waist. He pulled me to stand properly on my feet. There was no distance between our bodies. My eyes met his deep green mesmerizing eyes. He had dark curly hair covering his forehead. He smiled with his dimpled cheeks saying " are you ok" I only nodded with his gaze still fixed on mine. His body was strong and I felt his muscles.
Soon I saw flashes of camera light on us. He immediately distanced himself from me saying "sorry" and walking away.
"Such a gentleman" I murmured, the MD seemed to hear me and smiled saying "that is Mr Kyle Anderson, the owner of the Anderson group".
Eric gave a toast praying for my success and growth as I run the company and we ate and drank throughout the event. When I saw Emma happy with William I was relieved.
Soon the whole event came to an end. The limousine that took I and Emma to the event brought us back home.
Leo pov.
I didn't want to go to the event but Theresa forced me because they gave me an invitation and to avoid being rude.
I just went there just to witness the handing over and leave due to the respect I had for Mr Daniels.
On arriving at the event I heard people whispering that I was here because I love Emma. Those words annoyed me but I couldn't leave when I had just arrived.
While busy with some business men Eric walked up to me with the lady that beat me to pulp. I was shocked when he said she was their sister. Though Emma has told me about her, I never got to meet her person till last night but she was really beautiful and curvy. Her blue eyes were locked on mine, her boobs and ass were more fuller than Emma's. I offered to kiss her soft hand. The fragrance of her skin was nice.
But this will be a very difficult girl with the way she beat me causing me to bleed. She is dangerous.
I thought about cutting partnership with the Daniels due to Emma's infidelity but seeing her step sister and their new CEO made me change my mind. I am sure for the growth of her company she would become calm.
When Eric left. The way she apologized gave me satisfaction that had a soft side but I didn't answer to show how angry I was. Besides, this won't be the last time we will be meeting.
When Elena came and hugged me Lia left angrily and I felt satisfied about her emotions cause a time will come when she will beg me to answer her.
Elena has been my childhood friend and my first love. She took my virginity while we were teenagers. But I stopped loving her the day we went to different colleges to study and she started posting pictures of a guy claiming to be her boyfriend.
When I confronted her she told me to move on and that with distance things can't work between us.
But years later she came back but I had already fallen for Emma but after everything we still stayed in touch.
When Lia was on the stage I saw Emma and the moron she was with last night smiling with each other I got provoked and was about leaving beside I have greeted Mr and Mrs Daniels but then Eric and pointed the direction Emma was for me to go and meet her I was surprised he didn't know about her affair with another guy.
Or are these people trying to play with me? I didn't tell Mrs Daniels about the break-up because I believe their daughter would tell them soon.
I told Eric that I and Emma were no longer in a relationship and he wanted me to explain but I scoffed and walked away.
