"Imbalance of powers for a year to renew the realm energies. No one dies and no one gets hurts if all lords remain in their realms." Apex said.
Xander turned to look around, he felt a strange energy from the man of the first realm. He read through the energy and found out a little secret on his own. That supposedly loyal man wanted to be Solstice. He wanted to be on the royal seat. He wanted to be in Solstice's shoes.
He said, "Let the alignment hold." The lords applauded his final say as the executioner of the realms. They pass the papers around the table, they sign and leave a trace of their essence of the paper as a form of stable connection.
A few hours after, Apex already walked away from the gathering. He stood by the balcony outside just above the floor they once stood on. He turned to Xander, he gave a signal for him to come closer.
Xander asked, "Apex? I want to assume something serious, but first let me ask before I conclude on my own terms. They want his position don't they?"
"Xander they can't have all our positions, they would do the worst to get to it if they could. Have you noticed the change of the weather at Earth X? The climate changes, do you think it's normal?"
"What do they want? Do they feel the crown already? Is it that light?"
Apex dropped his glass, he said, "Xander sometimes I wonder if you notice yourself, your lack of humor and manners. No etiquette and no grace."
Xander placed hid hands on the wall for support, "Apex, these people want us dead. I don't think we need some certain amount of grace for that. Do we?"
"Relax, be calm. Over here, energy is high currency. Be still and don't overthink issues, you are a lord now. There's nothing to be worried about."
Xander disagreed, "Oh I beg to be diverse. I have a lot on my hands and I wanted to ask, when do I get to leave this party?"
"Xander you can leave the moment you disappear form here. Like I said you are a lord now."
Xander walked over to the door and said, "Okay then."
He tried to open a portal but he couldn't. The portal opened but it closed up before it could form up again.
He turned his face to Apex. Apex stood there gracefully staring at him, he waited for a statement to come out of his mouth but none did. Xander asked, "What is going on?"
Apex replied, "I don't know." He seemed calm and relaxed, no emotions.
Xander asked again, "What? Apex what is going on? You should know." Xander tried to open the portal again but this time, it looked like he ran out of life force.
He leaned on the wall, suddenly he understood what Apex said about currency and energy exchange.
"So you are saying, I can't leave till the first two planets join together in alignment."
Apex slowly walked towards him, he said, "Xander you still have a lot to learn." He tried to walk out.
Xander held his arm, "Teach me." Apex stood still looking into his eyes, He saw a little child without any hope lost in the bewilderment of his new life. A resurrected mix.
"Xander follow me. There's something I've been thinking of, I wanted to show it to you but I thought it'll be better if you found out yourself."
Apex walked out, Xander followed him. Apex walked up to the room they usually stayed at, but this time it was different for them.
Apex shut the door and lock it twice. He walked over to the shelf, Xander noticed the books were still intact but one stood out. The book with the blue and gold cover.
Apex pulled it out and made sure none fell out. The shelves divide themselves, a wall covered by a dark cloth exposed itself. Xander moved closer to the wall, he touched the cloth.
He closed his eyes, certain images appeared in his mind. Images of war, men on horses, men with arrows and bows, men with swords and shields, men with whips and anger. He opened his eyes again.
Apex pulled the cloth down, he pushed one of the bricks in. The bricks opened up a pathway for them to walk through.
"Come with me Xander. Be quick about it. We don't have all day, you have a lot of trance to experience."
Apex walked through the staircase, Xander followed behind. He watched his steps as he traced the emerald stones through the walls. They created a source of dimmed light for them to see.
He asked, "Apex? These are emeralds right? The stones on the wall, I'm asking because they look different. They look like they have eggs in them."
"Xander what you are looking at is known as the Triract. They guide and follow just like the others. They are alive and well, don't forget. They have powers and they can kill. They are different from the Lunaract. They are not all love and light."
Apex stopped talking, he passed his walking. He took the visible bottle in front of them. He said, "Now this is why I brought you here. Look at this little bottle. Yes I know, it doesn't look like it's much but I can guarantee you this."
He cleaned it and said, "This is the primary reason why Solstice is still alive, this is the major reason he rules as the main lord of the realms and this is the reason why Nebula is pissed. He's angry because he can't find it."
"And Celeste? Vexis?" Xander asked.
Apex just realised, "Wait, did we invite Vexis? You just made me think of him. He's supposed to be here, and as for Celeste. Well he's just a guy in the shadows with a lot of power. He's premium content."
Apex closed the box he took the bottle from. "Xander, I need you to deliver that bottle of life to Vexis for me. It's his essence and that of his daughter. I mean the lady in exile. We need to remove Solstice one way or another."
