He sat watching his eyes bleed a little, he stared at his reflection. He turned to the left and then to his right, he saw no one in his room. Although he could perceive the sweet and savory agent of his mother's cooking.
The door opened, it was the bathroom door. Zephyr walked through it. He was surprised to see Xander awake, he smiled calmly and walked closer to him slowly.
Zephyr stood close to him unsure of who he gaped at, "Zephyr? What happened?" It was Xander, the voices had escaped miraculously.
Xander stood on his feet, he happened to be the same height as Zephyr. Zephyr launched the hug on his body, he held him tight. "Zephyr? Why are you like this? What's wrong? What happened?"
"Xander you were lost within yourself and you were gone for about three days even after you woke up. I mean… everyone thought you were going to die. I expected Apex to be here with you, he was a while ago."
"Really? Dead? I saw Apex in my head, he had a book and he said some words. I could see his lips moving but I couldn't tell why. Where's everyone?"
"They are around, outside and I think inside. Come on, you should get dressed for that."
Xander atood quietly staring into his eyes. He smiled at him, he said, "Zephyr let's go to them."
He picked up his shirt from the wardrobe and walked down, on his way through the stairs he saw the boy. He stood still and smiled. Zephyr saw him too.
Zephyr asked, "Do you know him? I saw him the last time, myself and Aster. Who is he?"
Xander just looked around and noticed this was a trance. He though to himself, how did the blood dry up? Why were the stairs so long and what would Zephyr be doing his room?
Suddenly Xander stopped walking and turned around. He saw Zephyr behind him still. He turned to look at the front, he noticed the walls were unreal and the stairs were cracking up.
He heard a calm voice from within, Xander, Xander. Control it. He closed his eyes and knelt on the stairs, he observed his mind, he heard the voice of a woman singing a calm lullaby to him.
It was Elysium. He could feel her hands on his back giving him a posture of comfort, he lifted his face to look at her. He thought he would see her but all he could see was a big buzz of light covering her face.
The song continued as he rose up to his feet, he turned to the stairs. He walked down the stairs with the song still playing his mind in his head. He got to the ground, he walked through the front door.
His eyes opened, he just noticed. It was a trance, the song stopped. He stood in front of the trio, Apex smiled at him. Solstice stood in shock, he just defeated the creature. It laid still on the ground.
Celeste appaluaded him, "Well done Xander. You did it." With his blurry vision he tried to understand his words. Nebula stood still with a straight face wondering about how he controlled the creatures by just breathing and falling into a trance.
Xander walked through the door of the formerly locked arena. He walked till he sat on the chair, he noticed he lost a lot of strength.
Apex moved closer to him and said, "What did you see?"
"Him and her."
"Who?"
"The little boy and my mother. And right now I can still hear her lullaby in my head, the bone she used to sing for me as a little boy."
"Xander you'll need to rest now, we'll be going back to the laboratory. Everyone you left behind, will be waiting for you there."
"No wait. I can go today, right now even. I just need to get dressed. I'm still shirtless, so let's go. I need to see Kira. I met her before I left."
Apex opened the portal and they moved through it. Xander looked through the white building and it's interior, he noticed a few changes here and there. He saw her immediately. The one he wanted to meet. Kira Peters.
Kira turned to him and said, "Took you long enough. Where the heck have you been? I really missed you."
Xander smiled and stretched his arms forward reaching for her body. He hugged her right and gave her a kiss on her face and lips. The moment he did, he noticed a lady staring at them closely.
This was not a familiar face, it was a face he saw while he was stuck in the trance. He pulled his body away from Kira and kissed her cheeks. He asked, "Who's that?"
She replied, "That's doctor Elara, She's the new intern to Void. She's new here so I'm sure she's not even aware of who you are."
He gazed at her calmly, he never had a thing for blondes but this time she caught his eye. He admired her face, her body and her silent features.
He turned his face away from her, he turned to the sound of the footsteps he just heard. He looked back to see who walked in, it was him. Void. Void smiled and said, "Xander welcome back. Have you spoken to Elara. She's supposed to be your new assistant, don't worry she's easy to work with."
"Uh no. Nope I didn't. I just walked in here with Apex. Which of course I just noticed that he left without letting me know, how caring of him. Anyway I just realised that a lady stood by the far end. And yes I would like to meet her."
Void read his emotions and facial expressions. He knew Xander already liked her from the statement he just made, "Okay then, Elara! Come closer!"
Just like a mild robot would yield to the programming of it's creator, she dropped the files on the table and walked straight to meet him. Elara had a physical body of a model, a slim yet slightly thick type.
