Chapter 7 - 7) The Knowledge Palace

There were a lot interesting magical things in this soul palace, but the one Raven was most eager to try out was the knowledge palace.

As the name itself implies, it is a palace that contains knowledge. Not just any random knowledge but information from all around the universe. At least as much as elemental monarch could get his hands on or was aware of.

This particular palace didn't store any techniques or secret manual but the information regarding those said techniques and said manual. Such as what those techniques do, who created or founded those techniques, where one can get them from, their advantages and disadvantages and a lot more.

...

Raven Stood high in the air above the clouds itself feeling the cool and fragrant wind on his face, his long hair, already undone, dancing in the wind with their own rhythm looking like a god looking down at his creatin. He was admiring the scenic view in front of him and secretly prasing the elemental lord for his great taste in architecture and planning.

This whole shimmering golden island with these magnificent palaces and the even more valuable techniques and knowledge from around the physical plane was his to command. He could even see himself creating his own personal army and organisation to conquer the universe with this information.

However, before he could fall deeper in this line of though, Raven pulled hisself back to reality.

The reality was that Raven was still currently a weak little human in this essenceless world and could be killed as easily. Yes, he had gained all this from that space soul and even his soul was strengthened exponentially but he was still physically and individually weak. Unless he could utilize all this knowledge to increase his own strength and guarantee his safety or at least protect himself from harm, it was better to be cautious from now.

After all, it would suck if he died with all this tresure trove on him, right?

As for why Raven could still fly as he wished, it's beacause he is inside his own soul with his consciousness and could control himself with his thoughts.

With that said and done, Raven first decided to enter one of the 9 inner palace, The knowledge palace. It was the palace with the White pillar at it's centre emitting a milky white light as if possesing the power to soothe ones soul and clear ones mind of all distractions.

He willed his body and decended from the clouds halting at the entrance of the palace. The entrance was a double door gate with the gates wide open like any medieval doors from an emperors palace from the movies. Above the gates at the entrance was a massive wooden yet metallic plaque with unique characters in White color unknown to Raven before. However now, he could understand them fully as if he had known then throughout his life.

" Maybe because of the soul merging, I think. " Raven mused while entering inside the palace.

What was wriiten at that plaque at the entrance was naturally, " Knowledge Palace " !

The palace inside was just as he had seen from above. There were pathways made of soft blue smooth tiles from the entrance to all the sub palaces . In between was grass and flowers growing in moderation as if someone was always here to look after them. A few small ponds shimmering here and there, though no fish were found inside. Some of the pathways even had tress growing aound them with uniqe shapes and colors looking beautiful. He could even see some gardens far away filled with all kinds of unseen flowers and trees with benches and pagodas for rest.

For a moment, Raven had this urge to explore this palace complex and the other ones and even the whole island itself, but he controlled himself in time beacause there were more important things to do.

So he steeled his heart and continues moving forward while admiring the view .

After about half an hour of touring all the sub-palaces, raven finally arrived at the entrance of the main palace. The look on his face right now worth capturing. It was a face that accurately showed how amazed and shocked he was by everthing he has seen in this past half an hour.

The way information was stored here was different from the usual way. There were no manuals or books or stuff. There was a similar kind of wooden metallic plaque hanging outside each sub-palace telling peciesely what kind of knowledge is contained inside.

The inside of all the palaces were filled with glowing colorful orbs floating everywhere. Some were orbs were the size of fingernails, some as big a persons head. There were even some as big as a person reaching a diameter of 2 meters. They were however not physical objects but mere manisfestation of knowledge and energy in different colors.

The inside of the palace looked like stars dotting the sky on a clear summer, utterly mesmerizing and enchanting.

A person only needs to think of the type of information he wants and any orb related to that information would float in front of you. As for how to read that information from the orb ? Just touch the orb and Whooosh! all the information will be printed in your brain itself. It's really practical and easy. One doesn't need to read for hours and hours to understand or learn things. Also, since there's no reading or listening involved and info is directly printed in your mind, there's no language barrier either.

Obviously one cannot just go in there and imprint all the knowledge in one's own mind. To absorb knowledge in this way requires one's mind to be strong enough to support and endure this process. To be able to hande the mental strain. That is to say, you shoul have enough soul power. Otherwise you can only slowly imprint the knowledge in your brain while digesting it and increase your soul power. And what if a person recklessly tries to absorb the knwledge without caring for the mental strain ? best case scenerio is his soul would be slightly damaged and he could go in a coma for a week or more depending on individual mental strength. Worst case being death.
