Chapter 3 - Body Constitution

"Now then, let's see the condition of this body," Mu Jin murmured as he sat in a lotus position.

Since the previous owner of this body had never cultivated, his dantian was empty of Internal Qi.

Qi was the life energy present in every being and in nature. Martial artists manipulated this very Qi to walk the path of cultivation.

The Qi present in nature was called Natural Qi, while the Qi inside the body was called Inner Qi.

Mu Jin could have easily gathered all the Inner Qi in his body into his dantian to complete the first step toward becoming a martial artist, but he did not do so. Instead, he spread the small particles of Inner Qi through his meridians and across his entire body to analyse his condition.

"As I thought, the poison is still in the body," Mu Jin murmured, detecting the cluster of poison that was slowly eating away at his internal organs.

He poured his Inner Qi into the poison and trapped it within. With slow and controlled movements, he guided the poison out through his meridians and expelled it from his skin.

Green vapours filled the surroundings, and beads of sweat trickled down his face.

"Hah... even such a small use of Qi has exhausted me," Mu Jin muttered, breathing heavily.

This was the basic method martial artists used to remove poison from their bodies; however, it required extreme control of Qi. One wrong step, and the poison could spread throughout the entire body. Therefore, martial artists avoided this method and often sought a physician to expel the poison.

If he had not been poisoned by the colorless, odorless poison of the Tang Sect, he would not have died in his previous life. By the time he realized he had been poisoned, it had already seeped into his dantian.

"I still can't believe how that Tae Rin managed to get his hands on the secret poisons of the Tang Sect."

Now that his body was completely free of poison, he stepped into the pond beside him and washed himself.

Mu Jin was excited. In his previous life, he had been kidnapped by martial artists of the Demon Cult in a very young age and forced to learn their method of Qi cultivation, which had become one of the main reasons he reached his limits in his later years.

But now, he would use a cultivation method most suited to his body. For that, he first needed to confirm whether he possessed any special body constitution.

Normally, when a disciple was taken into a sect, an elder or the Sect Master at the Transcendent Realm would analyse the disciple's body to determine whether they had any special constitution. But Mu Jin, who had far surpassed that realm in his previous life, could easily analyse it himself.

All he had to do was enter his inner world within his upper dantian, located at the centre of his forehead.

He sat in the lotus position once again and directed the small amount of Inner Qi in his body toward his upper dantian.

When he opened his eyes, he found himself in a dark space that stretched endlessly in all directions. The platform on which he stood was a circular disc where bright white and abyssal black energies rotated smoothly like a Taiji.

"Damn!" Mu Jin gasped, his eyes wide open in shock.

He returned to the real world and almost jumped in excitement.

"This stupid punk! How could he waste such a heaven-gifted body," Mu Jin mumbled, a wide smirk spreading across his face. "This is undoubtedly the Balanced Yin-Yang Body. One of the rarest constitutions in Jianghu."

The martial artists usually possessed one of two body constitutions: Ordinary or Refined.

In his previous life, Mu Jin had an Ordinary constitution with no special traits. But this body not only possessed a Refined constitution, it was one of the rarest and most legendary among them.

"Hehehe! I have the perfect Qi cultivation technique for this body, one that I stole from the treasury of the Wudang Sect," Mu Jin snickered, covering his demonic smirk with his hand.

"Sex Demon" was not the only title Mu Jin had earned in his previous life. There was another name by which people knew him.

The Lightning Thief.

He had stolen forbidden or hidden techniques, treasures, and pills from almost every major sect. Except for a few, most martial artists never knew that the Sex Demon and the Lightning Thief were the same man.

The last thing he stole was one of the Four Heavenly Treasures from the Empire's treasury, which also became the very reason for the end of his notorious legend.

Closing his eyes, he began murmuring the scriptures of Dual Cultivation.

It was a forbidden technique of the Wudang Sect. Being an Orthodox Sect, they despised this method since it involved an act that, while not inherently evil, blurred the line between discipline and desire, often leading cultivators down a dangerous path of indulgence.

But for Mu Jin, who quite literally bore the title of Sex Demon, there could not have been a more suitable cultivation method.

From the countless pores in his skin, he began absorbing Natural Qi into his body. Being male, the neutral Qi was easily converted into Yang Qi as it entered his body, but to obtain Yin Qi, he required Qi of a Yin nature.

After absorbing only a small amount of Qi, he stopped, knowing that further intake could disrupt the balance of Yin and Yang within his body.

The amount he had absorbed was not even enough for him to reach the first stage of a martial artist.

"So this is where you were hiding," a male voice reached Mu Jin's ears.

He opened his eyes to find a group of four young men in white robes surrounding him.

Their faces carried wide smirks that made them look more like members of an unorthodox sect.

"How dare you make us come all the way here, you impotent bastard!?" one of them sneered. He had slightly above-average looks compared to the rest.

He was Seok Jin, the one who had destroyed Mu Jin's manhood.

"Why are you so obsessed with me being impotent?" Mu Jin asked, raising an eyebrow, his voice calm. "Did you want a better-looking sibling from me?"

Mu Jin gave Seok Jin a disappointed look before continuing,

"Well, I do understand the problem."
