Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Is This Reality?

In the Trainer's office, Luo Cheng stared at the pouting, angry Tokai Teio.

"Lazybones Trainer, sleeping in the middle of the day." A few seconds later, Teio couldn't hold it anymore and burst into a giggle. "I couldn't help but want to tease you when I saw you asleep. Did you stay up late again rewriting the plans?"

Luo Cheng blinked, feeling as though an eternity had passed. He reached out and pinched his own thigh hard. The sharp pain stimulated his brain, making his body jerk. Still not satisfied, he stood up, walked over to Teio, and cupped her face in his hands, bringing them so close their noses almost touched.

"Trainer... what are you doing..." Teio muttered, her mouth squeezed out of shape.

"It's not a dream... I've transmigrated. I've actually transmigrated!"

After more than three months—over a hundred days—Luo Cheng had finally arrived in the real world! They were living people! The Tokai Teio before him was a flesh-and-blood human being! He pulled Teio into his arms and planted a sudden, forceful kiss on her, celebrating his rebirth with manic joy.

Tokai Teio's tail gave two sharp, startled flicks. As the realization of what her Trainer had just done sank in, her face turned a brilliant crimson. She cupped her kissed cheek with both hands and stammered, "Trainer, this kind of thing... this kind of thing should be done in a private room!"

With that, she turned and bolted out the door.

What's with her? Luo Cheng wondered.

In that other world, no matter what he did to Teio, she never reacted. She simply let him have his way with her like a doll. Aside from their scripted daily routines, his interactions with the girls had been reduced to pure instinct.

For instance, when Teio reached her limit, she would cling to Luo Cheng and let out adorable, kitten-like mews before collapsing onto the bed, flushed and panting. Those were subconscious actions—instincts that bypassed the brain. Beyond that, Teio had quite a few other "instincts," but Luo Cheng wasn't about to dwell on the details.

During those nearly one hundred days of "gaming" life, Luo Cheng had almost forgotten how to interact with normal human beings. It wasn't exactly standard social etiquette to greet someone by immediately checking their chest size and flavor to see if they were suitable for a sleepover, was it?

Luo Cheng wasn't sure. He had been detached from normal society for too long.

Furthermore, in that world, Luo Cheng had already maxed out Teio's affection—hearts practically popped out of her. He wondered how things stood here.

While Luo Cheng was sorting out the situation, Tokai Teio suddenly doubled back. She peeked left and right outside the door, shut it tight, walked up to him, stood on her tiptoes, and pecked him on the cheek.

"Don't you dare ambush me like that again... Do you hear me, Trainer?" Teio said, her face still glowing.

Luo Cheng stood dazed for a long while. Does this... mean her affection is already maxed out?

He couldn't see her status or the game's UI anymore. This was true reality, completely devoid of game elements. It was a bit jarring. If that was the case, he had a few other horse girls whose affection he'd maxed out.

There was the Chairwoman, Akikawa Yayoi, and the secretary, Hayakawa Tazuna. Besides them, there were eight others. Yayoi and Tazuna had been the fastest to max out after Teio for two reasons: first, they both fit his "type" perfectly, and second, they were convenient.

Likely due to the system's logic, all Luo Cheng had to do was call the Chairwoman's office and say, "I have a problem here," and they would come running. It was much easier than hunting someone down in the hallways.

Luo Cheng had discovered that while the Chairwoman looked like a petite girl, she was actually quite well-endowed. Her waist was soft and tender, and her delicate little feet had a natural, milky fragrance. They were a delight to hold. Whether used as a human pillow or a pet to play with on his lap, she was an excellent choice.

Luo Cheng was curious to see if they would be as affectionate toward him as Teio was.

"Trainer, stop dazing off, Trainer!" Tokai Teio reached out and gave Luo Cheng's face a tug. Once he snapped out of it, she complained, "You've been acting strange since this morning. Did you not sleep well last night?"

"...Last night?"

Luo Cheng recalled his sudden transition. His memories of the "other side" were a blank slate. If his version from the game world had arrived here three months ago, what had the "him" of this world been doing?

"Wasn't yesterday just normal training? And..."

"And what?" Luo Cheng pressed.

"And you took a nap on my lap! You big sleepyhead!"

It matched. Parts of it matched perfectly.

Based on Teio's description, Luo Cheng realized that the things he had said and done all had corresponding counterparts here. He had held the horse girls, touched their tails, ruffled their ears, and even squeezed their little feet. However, the part where he took them home to use as pillows seemed to be missing. It was like finishing a game only to find a few CGs missing from the gallery.

What's going on? Is this the system's corrective force?

As a young man in his prime, there was no way he could remain indifferent when he was the only "person" in a world full of doll-like beauties. Luo Cheng was no saint, nor was he particularly interested in being one. He was just an otaku who liked looking at beautiful girls in "spicy" situations. He had a very clear understanding of his own nature.

Prolonged loneliness had exhausted him mentally and physically. The more he overthought things, the more miserable he became. Logic only brought him torment, so he had decided to let his baser instincts take the lead. At least that brought him pleasure.

So, in the game world, if he wanted to do something, he did it. If he wanted someone, he had them. His only goal there was to kill time, train the horse girls, and wait for the day the world changed.

Today was that day.

The situations in both worlds were indeed different, yet he still carried the habits from the other side. Looking at Teio's ears now, he felt the urge to give them a good rub—in fact, he was already doing it.

Tokai Teio's tail wagged, and a soft purring sound vibrated in her throat.

It seemed her affection really was at its peak. Otherwise, after that kiss, she would have kicked him into oblivion. It was no joke; during training, Luo Cheng had seen Teio push a multi-ton boulder! If these horse girls got angry and threw a punch, he'd probably be sent to the afterlife on the spot. Even if they hadn't reacted to his actions before, their physical stats were several times his own. A horse girl's physical power was absolute, something no mere human could shake—even if he was the "Player."

"Trainer, you're so weird today." Teio squinted her eyes happily. "I clearly came here to say something important, but you keep interrupting me like this."

"Something important? What is it?"

"The Debut Race, obviously!" Teio simply wrapped her arms around Luo Cheng's waist and nuzzled against his chest. "Finally, the Great Teio-sama is having her first Debut Race! You better watch me closely!"

The Debut Race...

Luo Cheng remembered. It was indeed written in that notebook. It even helpfully marked the start date for the Debut Race training plan—which was today.
