Ken and Aiko rushed toward the mountains as the sky grew darker. The wind howled through the trees, and the ground trembled with every step they took. When they finally reached the mountain valley, they saw a huge glowing portal floating in the air.
From the portal stepped out a massive Shadow Beast. It was much larger than the first one, with glowing red eyes and sharp claws that scraped against the rocks.
Ken felt a chill run down his spine. "That thing is huge…"
Aiko tightened her grip on her glowing blade. "This one is a Shadow Lord. It's far stronger than the others."
The monster roared and charged toward them. Ken quickly focused his energy, and the blue aura surrounded his body again. He leaped forward and released a powerful blast of energy, but the creature blocked it easily.
"It's too strong!" Ken shouted.
"Then we fight together!" Aiko replied.
Aiko dashed forward with incredible speed, striking the monster with her blade of light. The Shadow Lord stumbled back for a moment. Ken saw the opening and gathered all his strength.
His blue aura suddenly grew brighter than before. The energy around him began to change, turning into glowing wings of light behind his back.
Aiko looked surprised. "Your power… it's evolving!"
Ken raised his hand and unleashed a massive wave of energy. The blast struck the Shadow Lord directly, shaking the entire valley. With a loud roar, the monster was finally destroyed, and the portal slowly began to close.
Ken fell to his knees, exhausted.
Aiko helped him stand. "You did it."
But as the portal faded, a dark shadow appeared in the sky above them. A deep voice echoed across the mountains.
"So this is the boy who defeated my Shadow Lords…"
Ken looked up and felt a terrible pressure in the air.
Aiko whispered nervously, "That voice… it's him."
"The Shadow King."
And somewhere beyond the closing portal, a pair of glowing purple eyes opened in the darkness.
The greatest battle was coming.
