AN: The family is too big and there are too many characters. So, this will be a small arc. And I'll make sure to focus on all the core characters. Also, no major cliffhanger. š«”

[Morning] [Wedding Venue]
By eight-thirty in the morning, the wedding venue had already reached the stage where everyone involved was pretending things were under control.
The ceremony space stretched across a private estate surrounded by gardens, tall trees, and a small lake behind the raised platform where Jack and Haley would exchange their vows. White chairs had been arranged in neat rows beneath the open sky, while pale flowers wrapped around the aisle markers and climbed the wooden arch behind the stage.
Claire stood near the front row holding a clipboard with so many notes attached that it looked capable of filing taxes. Sarah walked beside her with a tablet open, checking off details as workers moved around them carrying flowers, linens, glassware, lighting equipment, and enough decorative candles to make the fire marshal nervous.
Claire stopped beside one centerpiece and adjusted a rose by half an inch. "This one's leaning. It's off-center by at least half an inch."
Sarah studied it carefully before nodding. "You're right. It's bothering me now."
The florist, who had been standing three feet away, slowly closed her eyes.
Claire smiled apologetically. "We're almost done, I promise. Just... fix the lean"
Sarah tapped something on her tablet. "Champagne delivery arrived twenty minutes ago, catering is setting up, the cake is refrigerated, the backup cake is refrigerated, and the emergency cake is in a hotel kitchen ten miles away."
Claire looked at her. "There's an emergency cake?"
Sarah glanced toward the reception hall. "Jack ordered one."
Claire didn't even look surprised anymore. "Of course he ordered one."
Near the lake, Cam was directing two workers who were carrying a large decorative basket toward the ceremony area. He wore a pale lavender shirt, pressed trousers, and the intense expression of a Broadway director whose opening night depended entirely on floral symmetry.
Sarah noticed the basket and immediately narrowed her eyes. "What is that?"
Claire followed her gaze before her expression hardened. "Please tell me those aren't butterflies."
Cam froze.
Claire started walking toward him. "Cameron Tucker. We talked about this yesterday."
Cam placed both hands protectively over the basket. "Okay, before anyone overreacts and stifles my vision, I would like to remind the jury that butterflies represent transformation, eternal love, and the delicate, winged rebirth of two souls joining as one."
Sarah stopped beside Claire. "Jack said no bugs of any kind."
"And Haley said, and I quote, 'If a bug touches my veil, I will scream and cancel the wedding.'" Claire added as she folded her arms.
Cam's shoulders dropped. "They said that during a highly stressful planning meeting! People say things they don't mean when they're under duress!"
Claire pointed toward the basket. "They said it four separate times."
Cam looked offended. "Creative geniuses are frequently misunderstood in their own time! History will vindicate me and my lepidoptera!"
Sarah calmly gestured toward one of the workers. "Please take the butterflies somewhere safe and release them away from the ceremony."
Cam watched in devastation as the basket disappeared across the lawn. "There goes thirty seconds of breathtaking visual poetry. You just murdered magic, Claire."
Claire patted his shoulder. "I'll live with the guilt. You'll survive."
Cam inhaled deeply and looked toward the lake. "At least they approved Haley's replacement concept."
That had happened three days earlier.
[Flashback]
Haley sat at the dining table flipping through some photographs of their wedding venue while Jack leaned beside her, already exhausted after hearing Cam explain the emotional significance of butterflies for nearly fifteen minutes.
Haley looked toward the picture of the ceremony lake and suddenly smiled. "What if we had doves instead of bugs?"
Cam's head snapped toward her so quickly that Mitchell nearly dropped his coffee.
Haley pointed toward the lake in the photograph. "Like a bunch of white doves released after the ceremony, and maybe two swans floating behind us while we're doing the vows."
Cam stared at her in complete silence.
Jack slowly turned toward Mitchell. "Is he okay?"
Mitchell watched him carefully. "Give him a second. I think you just overloaded his theatrical nervous system."
Cam suddenly pressed both hands against his chest. "Two swans?"
Haley smiled. "Yeah. Don't they do that cute heart thingy with their necks? That would look amazing in the photos."
Cam's eyes filled with tears. "Haley, that is the most romantic thing you have ever said, and once you told me love was basically having someone who still thinks you're hot when you're wearing sweatpants."
"That was also romantic."
Cam grabbed her shoulders gently. "The swans will elegantly glide across the glassy water as you exchange your sacred vows, the doves will ascend toward the heavens the moment you kiss, and the guests will literally feel as though they've been transported into a living Renaissance painting!" His theater mode activated at a high frequency.
Jack raised one finger. "Actual trained doves, right?"
Cam waved away the concern. "Jack, please don't cheapen this moment with logistics."

Cam sat upright with his hands folded carefully across his lap, although his expression suggested he was barely containing himself.
"When Haley suggested the swans, I realized the girl had finally learned to speak my language. Swans are pure, unadulterated elegance. They mate for life, they glide across the water like royalty, and honestly, they possess just enough underlying aggression to keep the rowdier guests in line."
He smiled proudly toward the camera.
"And then, the doves! The doves provide upward movement through the sky, creating what we in the theatrical community refer to as 'vertical storytelling'."
Cam paused thoughtfully before leaning closer.
"I have been waiting years for someone in this family to understand vertical storytelling."

[Present]
Back at the venue, Claire watched two handlers near the lake guiding a pair of white swans into the water. They drifted across the surface with surprising calm, framed perfectly behind the ceremony stage.
Sarah joined her and smiled despite the morning's chaos. "I have to admit, Haley made the right call."
Claire nodded as the swans passed behind the floral arch. "It's beautiful."
Cam appeared between them with tears already gathering in his eyes. "They're magnificent."
Claire immediately pointed toward him. "Do not add anything else."
Cam placed one hand over his heart. "I was merely going to suggest floating rose petals."
Sarah and Claire turned toward him together.
Cam sighed heavily. "I hear the boundary."
Across the lawn, someone shouted that the champagne glasses had arrived in the wrong size.
Claire closed her eyes.
Sarah checked her tablet.
Cam quietly stepped backward toward the lake.
Without looking at him, Claire lifted one finger. "Stay away from the swans."
Cam stopped immediately.
The wedding was still several hours away, and somehow everyone already needed a drink.

[Bridal Suite]
A few minutes later, the door to the dressing room opened.
Haley stepped out slowly, both hands smoothing instinctively over the front of her wedding dress as Gloria and Emma turned toward her.
For once, neither of them said anything.
The white dress fit her perfectly, elegant without feeling too formal, with a soft silhouette that made Haley look exactly like herself instead of somebody playing dress-up for photographs. Her engagement ring caught the light as she nervously adjusted one sleeve. And her pregnancy was visible under the dress.
Emma's eyes immediately filled. "Oh, wow."
Gloria pressed both hands against her mouth. "Ay, Haley."
Haley looked between them. "Good wow or bad wow?"
Emma laughed through the emotion and crossed the room to hug her carefully. "Ridiculously good wow."
Gloria joined them a second later, pulling Haley into a warm embrace before immediately backing away and inspecting her again. "You look beeyootiful. Jack is going to forget how to breathe."
Haley smiled, already getting misty-eyed. "Okay, nobody cry because then I'll cry, and then my makeup will run, and then I'll look haunted in my own wedding pictures."
Emma reached for a tissue anyway. "Too late."

//Haley Commentary//
Haley sat with her hands folded over her stomach, smiling nervously toward the camera.
"I'm excited. Like, really excited. I'm also pregnant with twins, getting married at nineteen... almost twenty, and somehow everybody keeps asking me if I'm nervous, like that's even a question."
She laughed softly and looked down at her ring.
"I am nervous. A lot. But mostly, I'm happy. I'm marrying the love of my life, and two little babies are coming, and everybody I love is here... I think I'm more happy than nervous."
Her smile softened.
"It a dream come true."

..
The bridal suite door suddenly opened.
Lily walked in and looked around impatiently. She was wearing a cute pink princess dress. "Can we go now? I want to pet the swans. Daddy won't let me pet them."
Haley stared at her.
Emma burst out laughing.
