Chapter 252 - 252: The Training Record

The next morning, just as dawn began to brighten the sky, someone knocked on Sol's door.

The knock was steady, followed by Yuji Itadori's energetic voice from outside.

"Sol! You awake yet? Gojo-sensei said everyone has to gather at the training ground!"

Sol opened the door.

He had already changed into Jujutsu High's dark blue training uniform. The morning light sharpened his features, making his expression look unusually clear and composed.

Yuji stood outside with his usual carefree grin, visibly excited for the day's training.

"Come on, let's go. It's our first official lesson, we can't be late."

Sol nodded slightly before closing the door behind him.

The two walked toward the training grounds together.

The training area was the same spacious dojo they had seen the previous day. The polished wooden floor reflected the morning light, while the faint scent of incense still lingered in the air.

When they arrived, Nobara Kugisaki was already there, stretching her wrists and ankles with an eager expression.

Megumi Fushiguro leaned quietly against a nearby pillar. His expression remained indifferent as always, though his eyes carried slightly more focus than before.

"Oh, everyone's here already."

Satoru Gojo's voice echoed from the entrance.

Today, he wore his usual teacher uniform along with his small round sunglasses. A large bag hung casually from one shoulder.

"Morning, everyone."

"Good morning, Gojo-sensei!" Yuji replied immediately.

Nobara and Megumi greeted him as well.

Sol simply gave a small nod.

Gojo walked toward the center of the dojo and dropped the bag onto the floor. Inside were training markers, protective equipment, and several wooden practice tools.

"Alright," he said while clapping his hands together. "Since this is the first lesson, we'll start with the basics."

His gaze swept across the four students.

"For a Jujutsu Sorcerer, physical ability is just as important as cursed energy and cursed techniques. After all, cursed energy reinforcement still depends on the body itself."

A mischievous grin slowly spread across his face.

"So, let's start with a warm-up."

He paused dramatically.

"Fifty laps around the training grounds."

"Fifty?!" Yuji and Nobara shouted simultaneously.

One lap around the mountain training route was at least four hundred meters. Fifty laps meant twenty kilometers through uneven terrain.

Even Megumi's expression twitched slightly.

"You call that a warm-up?" Nobara snapped.

Gojo completely ignored the complaints and casually raised the stopwatch in his hand.

"Timer starts now. Last place cleans the entire dojo for a week, including the toilets."

"Seriously?!" Nobara shouted.

"Damn it!" Yuji immediately took off running.

Nobara followed right behind him, unwilling to lose.

Megumi sighed before jogging after them.

Sol remained at the back.

He adjusted his breathing naturally and began running at a steady pace, neither hurried nor slow.

To him, it looked less like a twenty-kilometer mountain run and more like a relaxed morning jog.

Gojo leaned against a nearby pillar while observing the students with amusement.

Yuji immediately charged into first place using his naturally monstrous athletic ability.

Nobara kept close behind him, refusing to fall back.

Megumi maintained a consistent pace in third place, carefully controlling his breathing rhythm.

Meanwhile, Sol stayed in last place without the slightest intention of rushing.

Several laps later, the differences between them became increasingly obvious.

Yuji's speed started dropping due to his explosive start.

Sweat appeared across Nobara's forehead as her breathing grew heavier.

Megumi continued running steadily while gradually closing the gap between them.

As for Sol, his pace never changed.

Without anyone realizing it, he smoothly overtook Megumi first.

Then Nobara.

His movements were clean and efficient, every step perfectly balanced without wasting unnecessary energy.

His posture looked smooth enough to feel almost effortless.

Gojo slowly straightened from the pillar, genuine interest appearing behind his sunglasses.

This wasn't something simple physical reinforcement could explain.

After twenty laps, Yuji was visibly exhausted and breathing heavily.

Nobara's face had turned pale as she forced herself forward through pure determination.

Megumi's condition was better, but even his breathing had become uneven.

Meanwhile, Sol quietly caught up to Yuji from behind.

His breathing remained perfectly stable.

His expression hadn't changed at all.

Yuji glanced sideways and nearly widened his eyes in disbelief.

"No way…"

Sol casually ran beside him for a moment.

Then he looked over at Yuji with mild amusement before accelerating again and passing him completely.

Thirty laps.

Forty laps.

Yuji had already slowed to a jog.

Nobara and Megumi were far behind, practically dragging themselves forward.

Only Sol continued maintaining the exact same pace as before.

During the final ten laps, he even sped up slightly.

He looked less like a student running a physical test and more like a perfectly controlled machine that never grew tired.

When Sol finally stopped in front of Gojo after finishing the fiftieth lap, his breathing remained completely steady.

He had not even broken a sweat.

Gojo glanced at the stopwatch before letting out a low whistle.

"Well… that's a new record."

He looked genuinely entertained now.

"You completely shattered Jujutsu High's freshman running record."

A few moments later, Yuji stumbled across the finish line before collapsing directly onto the floor.

Megumi barely managed to remain standing after finishing.

Nobara arrived last, practically dragging herself over the line with a completely exhausted expression.

"Sol…" she muttered between breaths. "Are you even human?"

Yuji weakly raised a trembling thumbs-up from the ground.

"That's ridiculous…"

Megumi said nothing, but the look in his eyes clearly carried disbelief.

Gojo clapped his hands together with a grin.

"Alright! Warm-up's over!"

Yuji looked horrified.

"That was only the warm-up?!"

"Next test," Gojo continued happily, "reaction speed."

The remaining physical tests continued one after another.

Moving target evasion.

Explosive acceleration.

Balance and agility drills.

Endurance testing.

Strength measurements.

Every single result ended the same way.

Sol broke the record.

Rubber projectiles fired at high speed failed to touch him even once as he moved effortlessly through the course.

His reflexes were sharp enough to seem unnatural.

During strength tests, the numbers displayed on the monitors climbed high enough to make even Gojo raise an eyebrow.

As the sessions continued, Yuji, Nobara, and Megumi gradually stopped reacting altogether.

At this point, shock had turned into numb acceptance.

This didn't feel like the performance of a freshman.

Honestly, Sol barely felt like a normal Jujutsu Sorcerer anymore.

Gojo stared at the scoreboard filled with absurdly high numbers while rubbing his chin thoughtfully.

Then the grin on his face slowly widened further.
