"How dare a bunch of nobodies even think of troubling Sol?" Sonic's gaze swept across the meeting room, a faint sneer on his lips.
Powder Keg Jack slammed his hand on the table and rose to his feet. "You damn ninja."
Before he could finish speaking, Sonic vanished.
A sharp motion cut through the air.
Sonic appeared right in front of him, his blade already drawn across Jack's neck with precise accuracy. Jack's eyes rolled back as his body went limp, collapsing into his chair.
"I told you, you're not worthy," Sonic said coldly as he withdrew his blood-stained blade.
Garou leaned back lazily, silver eyes gleaming with interest. "Interesting. Sitch, are these the elites you gathered?"
Cold sweat formed on Sitch's forehead. "Mr. Sonic, please don't do this."
"Quiet," Sonic cut him off. "Sol is my prey. Only I have the right to fight him to the death."
Snake Woman Medusa let out a chilling laugh. "Arrogant brat."
Sonic's figure flickered again. A shuriken pressed against her throat before she could react.
"Say another word and I will silence you permanently."
The entire room fell into a tense silence.
Magic Hand lightly tapped his cane. "Mr. Sonic, please, restrain yourself."
"I am restrained," Sonic replied, putting the shuriken away. "I am simply stating a fact. Sol is not someone you can handle."
Garou suddenly burst into laughter. "Well said." He stood up, his silver hair shifting slightly. "I also think these people are not even fit to carry Sol's shoes."
Heavy Tank Fundoshi glared at them. "You two are getting ahead of yourselves."
Blue Flame raised his hands as blue fire ignited across his palms. "Looks like we need to teach you arrogant fools a lesson."
Sonic and Garou exchanged a glance, both smirking.
"Want to fight?" Sonic asked.
"Exactly what I was hoping for," Garou replied, cracking his wrists. "Let me see what a ninja like you can do."
Sitch quickly stood. "Everyone, calm down. We are here for a common goal."
"Quiet, old man," Garou said impatiently, waving him off. "Anyone who does not want to die should leave in three seconds."
Sonic had already taken a fighting stance. "I have no interest in working with useless people."
"Lunatics, all of you," Medusa muttered as she stood up and left.
The rest of the criminals followed her lead. Within moments, only Sonic, Garou, and three A-Class heroes remained.
Magic Hand sighed. "It seems today's meeting ends here."
Heavy Tank Fundoshi snorted. "Two arrogant brats."
Blue Flame's fire flickered again. "Care to try me?"
Sonic disappeared.
In the next instant, he was behind Blue Flame, his blade pressed lightly against his back.
"You're too slow."
Blue Flame's pupils shrank, his flames instantly extinguished.
Garou clapped, laughing. "Nice. But..." His gaze shifted to Magic Hand and Heavy Tank Fundoshi. "Are you two joining?"
Magic Hand raised both hands. "We are only here to maintain order."
Heavy Tank Fundoshi clenched his teeth. He knew the gap in strength and chose not to act.
Sitch collapsed into his chair, his face pale. "This is a disaster..."
Sonic sheathed his weapon and turned toward the exit. "Silver-haired, want to see who finds Sol first?"
Garou grinned. "That sounds fun. But before that..." His eyes sharpened. "I need to make sure you do not get killed by him."
Sonic scoffed before vanishing. "Mind your own business."
The two left one after another, leaving chaos behind.
Outside the Hero Association headquarters, Garou stretched his body.
"That ninja is somewhat interesting."
He pulled out his phone and dialed.
"Kid, where are you?"
"Uncle, I'm home. Mom said it's dangerous outside lately and won't let me go out," the Snot-nosed Brat replied.
"Smart kid."
Garou ended the call, his gaze drifting into the distance.
"Now then... where should I look for that bastard?"
At the same time, Sonic stood atop a tall building, overlooking the city.
"Sol, where are you hiding?"
His figure flickered and disappeared into the night.
Deep underground, inside a cavern, Sol sat cross-legged on a stone bed with his eyes closed. Faint red patterns spread across his skin, releasing a subtle dark red energy.
Gyoro Gyoro controlled a mechanical arm, carefully extracting samples.
"Mr. Sol, your cellular activity is astonishing," the giant eye trembled with excitement. "An ordinary human would have collapsed under this level of energy."
Sol opened his crimson eyes. "Progress?"
"Seventy two more hours are needed for preliminary analysis," Gyoro Gyoro replied. "But one thing is certain. Your potential surpasses Dragon-level monsters."
Psykos entertained a terrifying thought. Could Sol be cultivated into something beyond Orochi, something closer to a god?
"Speed it up," Sol said before leaving the cavern.
Back in his room, he sat on the bed as a system panel appeared before him.
[Ability: Ultimate Sun Being (3000 Crossover Points)]
[Upon awakening, the host gains a physique equal to the Cosmic Overlord Boros, with extreme regeneration and overwhelming physical capabilities. Strength, speed, and endurance reach the limits of a being that has broken its limiter.]
After his battle with Boros, Sol's crossover points had reached 8759. Even so, spending them all here would not be wise.
"8759... still not enough," he muttered, tapping the edge of the bed. "Guess I need to visit a low level world and earn more."
He glanced at the door, confirming no one was nearby. Then he casually grabbed a speck of light and crushed it.
[Preparing for Crossing... 3... 2... 1...]
His body dissolved into countless particles before reforming elsewhere.
When he opened his eyes, he stood in a dark, damp alley.
Rain dripped down cracked walls. The air carried the scent of decay, mixed with something sharper.
Blood.
Sol inhaled slowly, his crimson eyes gleaming in the darkness.
"Looks like tonight might actually be interesting."
