Chapter 10:
As Darth Zeth walked down to the bridge he past the flight deck and thought about Darth Vader.
Come to think of it Emperor Palpatine never told him about Darth Vader's past. He wanted to learn more. Who was the man that cut off his limbs? Who was he before the dark lord?
He just wanted more information about him, but he knew that Emperor Palpatine would not give him any information nor Darth Plagueis. He looked at the Naboo Royal Starship and stood there for a minute.
They then started the control's and took off.
The Eclipse was chasing them and in this small ship they couldn't out run it or battle it. Cale Lestin should know something that could stop it from chasing them. They turned around and put all power on forward shields and hoped this idea would work.
Tagge watched the ship coming towards him as he ducked and the ship passed them.
"Where is the ship now?" Said Commander Tagge.
An officer responded. "Sir the ship has disappeared."
Emperor Palpatine had just stepped onto the bridge. Commander Tagge dropped to his feet. "Sir I am sorry but we have lost the ship."
Commander Tagge was getting ready for the purple Force Lightning that Emperor Palpatine had put on other officers that had failed him, but it never came.
Emperor Palpatine was to preoccupied by his apprentice jumping ship. He could not feel his presence anymore.
"He must be masking his presence." Emperor Palpatine said to himself.
He would inform Darth Plagueis and maybe he would know where he went.
In the shadows of the Eclipse Darth Zeth and Padme Amidala had attached their ship to where the sensors would not detect them. They were real glad that they remembered to dissemble the transmitter that they put on Padme's ship. Cale Lestin had remembered Imperial procedure that before they went into hyperspace they would dump the trash. The hatch opened and their went the garbage. Now they would detach themselves and would float away like the rest of the garbage.
They jumped into hyperspace and they were safe. The only place they could think of to start their search was the planet that gave birth to the Empire, Coruscant. They started the engine's and went into hyperspace towards Coruscant.
Back on the Eclipse Emperor Palpatine kneeled before the image of his master.
Darth Plagueis had his eyes closed searching the Force to see where Darth Zeth was located.
"I see him on Coruscant searching for records of Anakin Skywalker's past. But do not go to him. He will sense you and run away. Let me go to him because I can persuade him better than you can." Said Darth Plagueis.
"Yes my master." Replied Emperor Palpatine.
The image disappeared and Emperor Palpatine knew he could not let his master get to him before him. Because he disobeyed him his master would certainly destroy him.
Emperor Palpatine turned around and the visor screen showed the image of Commander Tagge once again.
"Commander Tagge." Said Emperor Palpatine.
"Yes, Emperor Palpatine." Replied Commander Tagge.
"I wanted to be on Coruscant and hour ago." Said Emperor Palpatine.
"At once my lord." Replied Commander Tagge.
