Chapter 3 - When Curiosity Becomes Something More

The next morning felt unusually light.

Mira woke up before her alarm.

For a moment she stared at the ceiling, trying to understand why she felt strangely energetic on a weekday.

Then she remembered.

The songs.

Without even thinking, she reached for her phone and played one of them again.

The familiar rhythm filled the room.

A small smile appeared on her face.

"Okay… this is officially stuck in my head," she muttered.

Her morning routine continued as usual.

She helped her mother in the kitchen, packed her bag, and rushed to work.

But something about her mood was different today.

Normally her thoughts would already be crowded with stress about deadlines, meetings, and responsibilities.

Today, her mind kept replaying lyrics from the songs she had listened to the night before.

During her commute, she opened the music app again.

Another song started.

This time she paid closer attention to the translated lyrics.

They spoke about chasing dreams.

About feeling lost.

About searching for meaning in everyday life.

Mira leaned back in her seat, quietly listening.

"It's strange," she whispered to herself.

"How can someone write things that feel so… personal?"

At the office, Mira tried to focus on her work.

Emails.

Reports.

Deadlines.

But every once in a while, her fingers would pause on the keyboard.

Her mind would wander back to the music.

During lunch break, she searched for more videos.

Interviews.

Performances.

Clips where the rapper spoke about creativity, emotions, and self-reflection.

Unlike many celebrities she had seen online, he didn't seem loud or dramatic.

He seemed thoughtful.

Almost… philosophical.

Mira watched one interview where he talked about writing lyrics late at night when his thoughts refused to stay quiet.

She blinked in surprise.

"That sounds familiar," she said softly.

She often stayed awake for the same reason.

Overthinking.

Trying to silence her mind.

Maybe that's why the music felt so relatable.

That evening, Mira returned home tired as usual.

But instead of immediately collapsing on her bed, she connected her speaker and turned on the music again.

The beats filled her room.

Soon she was dancing freely again, moving with the rhythm, letting the stress of the day disappear.

After a while she flopped onto the bed, breathing heavily and laughing to herself.

"Look at me," she said.

"A few days ago I didn't even care about Korean music."

Now her playlist was full of it.

She opened her phone again and scrolled through more content.

Photos.

Live performances.

Fan edits.

The internet seemed full of people who admired him.

For a moment she shook her head in disbelief.

"I still don't understand how people fall in love with celebrities," she said.

But then she paused.

Her eyes drifted back to one particular photo.

It showed him sitting in a studio, writing lyrics in a notebook.

He looked calm. Focused.

Almost like he was somewhere far away in his thoughts.

Mira stared at the image longer than she intended.

Then suddenly she laughed at herself.

"Relax," she said, placing the phone on the table.

"It's just admiration."

Just music.

Just inspiration.

Nothing more.

But later that night, as she slowly drifted toward sleep, Mira imagined something strange.

She imagined sitting in a quiet studio.

Music playing softly in the background.

And across the room, someone looking up from a notebook and asking her a simple question.

"What kind of music do you like?"

The image felt so clear that for a second it almost seemed real.

Mira's eyes slowly opened.

She stared at the dark ceiling, confused.

Then she shook her head and turned over in bed.

"Okay," she murmured sleepily.

"That was weird."

But somewhere deep inside her mind, a small door had already opened.

A place where imagination and reality were beginning to blend.

And Mira had no idea how powerful that world would soon become.
