Chapter 1 - Unnamed

The Billionaire's Unexpected Love

In the dazzling city of New York City, where skyscrapers touched the clouds and luxury cars filled the streets, lived a man everyone knew—Adrian Knight. At just thirty-two, Adrian was a billionaire CEO of a powerful technology company. He had wealth, fame, and influence.

But there was one thing he didn't have.

Love.

Adrian's life was a cycle of business meetings, private jets, and grand parties. Yet every night when he returned to his enormous penthouse overlooking Central Park, the silence reminded him how empty his world truly was.

One rainy evening changed everything.

Adrian's driver took a different route because of heavy traffic. As the car slowed near a small neighborhood café, Adrian noticed a young woman standing outside under a broken umbrella. Her hair was soaked from the rain, yet she was laughing while helping an old woman carry groceries.

Something about her smile felt… real.

"Stop the car," Adrian said suddenly.

He stepped out into the rain and approached her.

"Excuse me," he said, offering his umbrella. "You might need this more than I do."

The woman looked surprised but smiled warmly.

"Thank you, but I'm used to the rain."

Her name was Lily Parker. She worked at the small café nearby and dreamed of becoming a writer someday. Unlike everyone Adrian knew, Lily had no idea who he was.

And that was exactly what he loved about her.

Over the next few weeks, Adrian kept returning to the café. They talked about books, dreams, and life. For the first time, Adrian felt like a normal man, not a billionaire.

Lily liked him too—but she didn't trust wealthy people. In her experience, rich men only played with emotions.

One evening Adrian finally confessed.

"I didn't tell you the truth before," he said quietly. "I'm Adrian Knight."

Lily froze. She knew that name—the billionaire CEO everyone talked about.

"You should have told me," she said, hurt.

"I was afraid," Adrian admitted. "Afraid that if you knew, you'd treat me like everyone else does."

Lily looked into his eyes. For the first time she saw not a billionaire—but a lonely man.

"You're still Adrian," she said softly.

Months later, Adrian did something no one expected. Instead of a glamorous proposal at a luxury hotel, he brought Lily back to the place where they first met—the small café on that rainy street.

Holding her hand, he said,

"You gave meaning to my life when money couldn't. Will you marry me?"

Lily smiled with tears in her eyes.

"Yes."

And in a city filled with millions of people, the billionaire who had everything finally found the one thing that mattered most.

Love. ❤️
