"Ren!" Screaming frantically, Earl ran as fast as he could, while several branches scratched against his t-shirt and head.
His breathing grew uneven with every passing second, but no matter how much he called for Ren, silence came back as the only answer.
"God…I should've never let you go alone! What did I just do…fuck…" Gritting his jaws, Earl murmured on his own, as he wiped the sweat off his forehead.
However, the route he went inside kept dividing into separate trails leaving him more startled than ever.
"Please answer me, Ren—"
'CRUNCH!'
But then, all of a sudden, a sharp sound hit his ears. It was the sound of footsteps coming from behind which made him freeze immediately.
His pupils shrank because the sound bore an uncanny resemblance to the exact sund which he had felt last night, in the academy yard.
Even this time, the sound implied that someone was following him, again.
