Suddenly, a large bear appeared from behind the bushes. Terrified, Aman quickly climbed up a nearby tree, leaving Rohan behind. Rohan, unable to climb, remembered that bears usually do not bother with dead bodies, so he immediately lay down on the ground, holding his breath and staying as still as possible.
The bear came closer to Rohan, sniffed him from head to toe, and thinking that Rohan was dead, wandered off without harming him.
Once the bear had left, Aman climbed down from the tree. He asked, "Rohan, what did the bear whisper in your ear?"
Rohan replied, "The bear advised me never to trust a friend who leaves me at the first sign of danger."
Moral: A friend in need is a friend indeed.
