Mark looked at the three of them for a second.
Cali was still against the door, Aria to his right and Ely to his left.
Mark let out a sigh and sat down on the edge of the bed.
"Alright," he said, running a hand over his face. "I was actually about to call you in because something important happened outside and you need to know about it."
"Something important?" Aria asked, tilting her head.
"Yes, but…" Mark looked at all three and could see they clearly had something to tell him that couldn't wait, given that they had staged an entire ambush just to speak to him alone. "I'll let you go first."
"Thank you, Master!" Ely said, pressing her hands together with a relieved expression. "Because we've really been waiting a long time to tell you this."
"Alright, I'm listening."
Ely cleared her throat in a gesture Mark had only ever seen from her when she was about to say something she considered extremely serious.
