Chapter 2 - Chapter One: The seeker from beyond

It was no ordinary day for the Lunartics, Infact no day was every ordinary for them.

Lunartica was a different planet, Two suns, Ten moons. More than half of the planet was covered by a purple to deep black sea, reflecting the purple sky onto the water. Furthermore Lunartica split into four giant island nations.

They were, The mist lands in the north, hikari in the south, Tenjuku in the east and the blazing nation in the West. Lunartica was a planet blessed with vibrant lifeforms and Exuberant forests. Civilizations existed from small towns to vast cities.

Among the countless settlements scattered across the Blazing Nation stood a modest coastal town known as Luminaris. Though insignificant beside the nation's great cities, it possessed a quiet charm that drew admiration from all who visited. Built upon the western shores of the Lunminara Sea, Luminaris overlooked an endless expanse of deep violet waters that shimmered beneath Lunartica's twin suns.

To the east, the towering Alvacan Hills formed a natural wall behind the town, their weathered cliffs standing watch over generations of Lunartics. Beyond the northern and southern outskirts stretched vast open plains where fields of golden and purple grass swayed endlessly beneath the wind, reaching toward the distant horizon.

The town itself was orderly and spacious. Wide reflective streets ran between neat rows of two and three-storey homes, each surrounded by small gardens and carefully maintained lawns bursting with vibrant flowers.

At the heart of Luminaris stood the Central Church, where the people gathered each morning and evening to offer prayers to Mage Hector, the legendary guardian who had once defended the Blazing Nation from the Witch of Treachery, Luna.

Life in Luminaris revolved around alchemy and metalworking. The rhythmic ringing of hammers echoed from bustling forges while the scent of herbs and molten metal drifted through the streets. Magic was woven seamlessly into everyday life.

Floating carts glided silently along the roads without horses or engines, blacksmiths shaped glowing steel with elemental flames, and merchants used wind and gas manipulation to transport goods through crowded markets. To the people of Luminaris, such sights were as ordinary as the sunrise itself.

Despite its peaceful appearance, Luminaris carried the spirit of the Blazing Nation. It was a town built upon hard work, discipline, craftsmanship, and unwavering resolve-a place where the sea met the mountains, where tradition coexisted with innovation, and where countless ordinary lives continued beneath the violet skies of Lunartica.

Among the neighbourhoods, on the western part of the town that is facing towards the sea.

On the first row and third block, there was a house painted in green and it's pillars on the corners in blue. It's lawn was covered in purple flowers.

There was a boy lying down on that grass, he wore a an open green jacket over a blue shirt and matching trousers, paired with a light brown blazer, an green scarf, a brown belt, and lace-up black boots. He had a messy shock of mint-green hair, vivid teal eyes that look like tropical ocean water. Underneath, a wire-lean build features broad, defined shoulders that taper sharply down to a narrow waist, showing taut, sculpted muscle with zero bulk.

The crimson sunset was clearly reflecting on his eyes, He looked at them like it was the most ordinary thing in the world. In front of his lawn was a street, it looked like it was made from tar, but it looked unsual since the road also happened to reflect light. There were footpath carved at each side of the road. Few people happen to walk past the boy's house. Each one looking at him like he was the most miserable person on the world.

Beyond the lawn stretched one of Luminaris's broad reflective streets. People wandered along the stone footpaths while open-roof carts drifted silently through the town. Some were made of wood, others of metal or pale alloys unique to Lunartica. None were pulled by animals or machines. A few didn't even have wheels, gliding effortlessly through the air as though the town itself had forgotten the meaning of gravity. To the people of Luminaris, it was simply another ordinary evening..

At this point the mint haired boy had dozed right into deep sleep, while one of the carts drove right into the front lawn.

It was a large enough vehicle to fit six people in it, it just looked like the rest of them but with a closed roof.

The car stopped parallel to where the boy was sleeping, that is on the right. The door of the car slowly creaked open and a staircase descended. There from within a man walked out a fit, man with messy, neon-pink hair and piercing green eyes. He wore a matte-black canvas duster coat with a high collar over a form-fitting, dark gray insulated cloth tunic, paired with tapered black cargo pants and high-top tactical cloth boots.

His eyes gazed on the boy sleeping in front of him and he sighed. "The world has so much beauty to adore, and this boy chooses to sleep among the midst of it?."

The man walked towards the boy with disappointment that was visible in his eyes. Lightning sparks formed around his fingertips, he slowly raised one of his finger and a beam of lightning emerged from his hands spiraling outwards and striking the boy.

He jolted awake, jumping right back up in utter shock, "Dad?".

The man replied, "Karyon, I am ordering you to go to your room and start training your element as soon as possible".

Karyon followed his dad right into the house, "Tchz, Why can't I doze off Just a few more minutes?", He thought to himself.

Just as Karyon was taking off his boots, A girl walked down a staircase parallel to the door but not too close to the door.

She had vibrant, bubblegum-pink hair cascading in soft curls past her shoulders, perfectly matched by large, glowing rose-quartz eyes that sparkle with curiosity. She wore a flowing, off-the-shoulder corset bodice over a ruffled white blouse, a high-waisted pleated skirt.

She spoke almost in a mocking tone, "Guess who decided to wake up!", she said covering her mouth with one of her hand.

Karyon replied annoyed, "Hey! Myriss, can't anyone in the neighborhood respect me?", pointing a finger towards Her.

She replied back, "Unless you stop being a foolish lunatic, The answer will always be no".

Barely anyone in the town treated karyon with respect, not even his own little sister.

Just as karyon said that, someone knocked on the door, a voice was here from the behind. "Hello, Lunarius here".

Myriss happily went forward and opened the door, Lunarius walked right in, He had neat, shoulder-length purple hair. His sharp amethyst eyes are calm and focused. He wore a precise, high-collared midnight coat over a dark blue tunic. His black cargo pants and boots looked clean and military-grade.

Karyon stood still for a while and then put a hand on lunarius's shoulder. "Eh, Hope you smelled the stew from a mile away!".

Lunarius replied back,"well, Food is none of my concerns right now, I have came here to remind you about the upcoming event".

Karyon replied immediately, like he doesn't listen to someone talking,"Man you are not fun!".

While they were talking, karyon's dad walked from the behind,"Hey kids, why are you all standing here, dinner is ready.", "Lunarius, you should also come in and join us!".

Lunarius replied back, "Thank you, mister Rigel".

Everyone sat at on a square dining table, karyon and Rigel sat opposite to Myriss and Lunarius. Myriss gently waved her hand at the table, and a warm breeze of wind swept across the table.

Bowls of Soup made from ceremic slowly floated out of the kitchen to the dining room and served themself to everyone.

Karyon spoke first, "Yeh!, when gas manipulation is your element, the first thing you do is control the air to serve food".

Myriss whispered in anger, "yeh, unlike you who uses his electricity to shock people in the pool!".

"Yeh whatever", Karyon said before grabbing his spoon, His father immediately slapped his hand. "Prayer comes before food".

Karyon sighed but Rigel didn't wait and recited the prayer of Luminaris, " O Mage Hector, Shield of our Land, Who broke Luna's treacherous hand. Forgive our faults, look down from above, And bless this food with your lasting love. Thank you for guarding our hearth and night, Keep us safe in your eternal light. So be it!"

Karyon divided right into his stew like a wild animal, Lunarius sighed looking at the karyon's condition. Rigel broke the silence, "So Myriss and Karyon, did you hear the news about lunarius?".

Karyon and Myriss looked at lunarius with utter confusion, "What did you do lunarius?",

Karyon spoke first.

Lunarius replied back, "It's nothing..., I've just inherited the Legendary blades of the ten moons from my father.".

Myriss replied back, "What do you mean 'nothing', it's the Blades of the ten moons!, that thing was forged the metals of each of the ten moons combined!".

Rigel spoke,"One of Lunarius's ancestor was gifted by the divine sword by the gods themselves, infact his ancestor was rumoured to be the Subordinate of Mage Hector himself".

Karyon snapped, "Hey lunarius, you didn't tell your 'Best friend' about your sword or a legendary ancestor thinggy!!!!!"

Lunarius replied calmly, "It's simple, poor old Karyon wouldn't simply be able to comprehend it",

Karyon quickly gulped down the last bit of his stew, and pointed his hand right at lunarius, "Hey? Im not even that stupid bro!".

Everyone laughed, because that was infact a reality no one could deny.

Later after they ate, Karyon and Lunarius were departing for this night's training at the outskirts of the town.

Myriss stood at the door waving goodbye to karyon,"Don't humilate yourself this time, well i can't avoid that, but just try!".

Karyon waved goodbye as he couldn't hear her, after a while of walking towards the north he turned towards Lunarius, "So are you going to like.., use your new sword?".

Lunarius replied, "Absolutely not, not today nor any day, the sword is not meant for casual practice, it is the treasure of my bloodline".

Karyon felt that lunarius was being too serious, maybe he should just relax for a bit.

After a while of walking they found themselves in the midst of a vast open field. The yellow grass reached till their ankles, Lunarius stopped first, Karyon followed. "So ok, I'll go first!".

Lunarius gestured his hand forward like he was tempting Karyon to attack first, "Go on".

Karyon swiftly dashed forward, however lunarius elegantly doged that punch. Karyon almost tripped before catching him on the ground. He turned back, electricity crackling in his fists.

Lunarius leapt forward and punched karyon in his upper abdomen, karyon was pushed back a few feet by the inertia. "Don't use your element in the midst of a brawl!".

Karyon hastily snatched a loose stone from the ground and hurled it toward Lunarius.

Lunarius stepped aside with ease. The stone sailed far past him, hurtling toward a group of elderly townsfolk resting atop a low hill several hundred meters away.

One of the elders glanced up and sighed.

He lazily raised a finger. "Blaze apart."

A tiny flame blossomed around the stone, reducing it to ash before it could reach them.

The elder shook his head. "You boys should be more careful. Someone could've been hurt."

With that, he returned to his conversation as though nothing had happened..

Behind all of the elders, behind all of them, A cloaked, enigmatic figure stood perched atop the jagged, wind-swept ridges of the Alvacan Hills. Shrouded in a heavy, tattered mantle that snaps in the gale, he gazes downward from kilometres away, his eyes locked on the distant, Brawl between Lunarius and Karyon.

Lunarius grabbed Karyon's right ear scolding him, "Karyon, you're careless again! One day your foolishness will cost us dearly".

Karyon stumbled, laughing as he brushed dust from his face, "And yet, you always catch me before I fall, brother. Maybe that's my gift-to make you stronger."

Then, a shadow fell across them. They froze. Standing tall, cloaked in a quiet aura, was White Eclipser.

Karyon's eyes were wide open as he stumbled back. "Lunarius, who is this man? He dosen't seem anything like us"

Standing in front of them was a completely pale, snow-white figure stood in absolute silence. Glowing white pupils pierced the dark from under a black cloak. The heavy fabric hid their frame, creating an eerie silhouette.

Lunarius reached for something within is pockets,"Stay back karyon, Stranger State your name and purpose in our Luminaris!",

"Before you say, I am Lunarius, the Wielder of the Legendary blades of the ten moons, my blade allows me to cut through any thing I desire without even touching the sword."

White Eclipser's gaze moved between them. He smiled faintly, "Oh my, that's a quite terrifying introduction young man, but stay calm for I am not enemy, just a seeker, for a long period of time, i have been watching you both, and within you burns something the cosmos long awaits!".

Karyon grinned while scratching his head,

"What do you mean, that you have been 'watching' us? Isn't that creepy lunarius?".

Lunarius narrowed his eyes towards white eclipser,"If you've been spying us, speak your intent. We are Lunartics warriors by blood. We don't bow easily".

White eclipser slowly crowched to their level, his voice like a calm tide, "Good, never bow to anyone, not to kings nor to gods, for one day you will be a part of something, and will fight, with all glory to some tyrant beyond the stars!".

The boys exchanged glances-confusion mixed with the spark of curiosity.

Karyon spoke, "Hey lunarius, this guy seems to be joking right?"

Lunarius stood serious but unsetelled. "Perhaps. Or perhaps destiny has found us before we're ready."

White Eclipser rose, his cloak shifting like starlight fading into the wind. "Great, Return to me Tommorow dawn if you feel ready, remember the journey isn't anywhere normal but very soon you will be with your own team, children just like you".

And with that, he was gone, leaving only the silence of the night-and two young Lunartics whose lives had just changed forever.

Karyon turned towards Lunarius, "Why do you think that guy was even serious enough?".

Lunarius replied back carefully, "Inheriting the blade of the ten moons allowed to me to perform assesment of a person's element instantly, and the mysterious man's capability was like a sea with no horizon".

Karyon and Lunarius walked together home, Lunarius lived beside karyon's house. A three story building, with purple walls and a dark blue roof, a massive sword was floating near the lawn, it's size comparable to a person's leg, it's sheathe had ten gems inscribed on it that changed colour simultaneously while it's handle stayed dark.

Karyon spoke first, "Lunarius, is that the legendary sword?".

Lunarius spoke with pride, "Yes indeed",

He said while grabbing the sword and carrying it into the door, "Bye Karyon, Rest well and we shall leave Tomorrow early morning for our training".

And with that he went into his house, after a while Karyon was in his bedroom on the second story of his house, he layed on the bed staring at the ceiling that had the entire story of The witch of Treachery inscribed on the wall, "Well what an amazing day, I hope I can get up earl-". Karyon fell asleep.

Far beyond Luminaris, hidden within a realm where endless white mist veiled the land, stood a solitary chamber. Silence lingered in the air.

A young woman stood beside a tall window, gazing into the endless fog. She wore a pure white, shadow-woven dress adorned with delicate golden flowers, its long mourning veil flowing gently behind her. Her long violet hair framed a face of quiet elegance, while her pale gray eyes held an ancient, unreadable sorrow.

Without turning around, she spoke softly. "Have you finally found them, Master?"

White Eclipser stood behind her, his cloak still carrying the night's cold breeze. "I have."

"They are still unaware of who they truly are... but that will change soon."

The girl closed her eyes for a brief moment. "Only one year remains until the Tournament."

"When the time comes... the children will finally stand together."

White Eclipser gave a quiet nod. "And Karyon's sister?"

The corner of his mouth lifted into a faint smile. "She possesses remarkable talent in gas manipulation."

"Then perhaps..."

"...she, too, will walk this path."

The room fell silent once more as the endless mist swallowed the view beyond the window
