A few weeks later Jo stood in my garage staring at the cars.
The Toyota Supra.
The Mazda RX-7.
The Ford Mustang Shelby GT500.
She turned slowly toward me.
"You own… all of these?"
"Some people collect art."
"You collect illegal racing machines."
"Technically they're legal."
She pointed at the Supra.
"That one definitely isn't."
I grinned.
"Probably not."
She shook her head.
"I should not be dating you."
"But you are."
She sighed.
"Yeah… I am."
