Chapter 4 - Chapter 4

A Mysterious Encounter

The forest had grown darker. Adam walked cautiously, every step alert to the slightest movement. His heart still raced from the battle with the wolf-like creatures, but a strange thrill coursed through him.

Adam's mind was racing. This world… it wasn't just dangerous. It was alive, and it seemed to test him at every step.

Suddenly, a faint glow appeared between the trees. Curious and cautious, Adam approached. The glow pulsed gently, almost as if it were… breathing.

"Hello?" Adam called out softly. No answer.

As he stepped closer, the glow expanded, revealing a figure cloaked in shadows. Adam froze. The figure's eyes glimmered gold, reflecting the faint light.

The system beeped urgently:

"Caution: Potential Ally or Enemy. Assess Carefully."

Adam took a deep breath. He didn't know who—or what—this was, but he could feel immense power radiating from the figure.

The cloaked figure spoke in a calm, melodic voice:

"You are the one the system has chosen… Adam Carter."

Adam's jaw dropped. "How do you know my name?"

The figure raised a hand, and a map of the forest appeared in midair, glowing with symbols Adam had never seen before.

"This forest is alive. Many never survive the first night. But the system has chosen you for a purpose… a path that only a few can walk."

Adam felt a mix of fear and excitement. This was bigger than anything he had imagined.

"But be warned," the figure continued, "those who seek power in this world are hunted by forces far greater than beasts. Your first trial has only begun."

Adam nodded slowly. His fists tightened.

I don't care who comes at me. I will master this system. I will survive. I will become stronger than anyone in this world.

A sudden gust of wind swept through the trees, carrying a faint whisper:

"Grow. Survive. Dominate…"

Adam felt his pulse quicken. The forest wasn't just dangerous. It was alive, watching, and testing him. And he… was ready.
