Chapter 4 - Chapter 3: Vengeful Foxes.

All the four groups who had seen what these "monsters" were capable of, were now scared of how do they request to them for help.

However, one of them was not so lucky. Sera, who was watching Lunaria, flinched slightly as Lunaria called her out. "If you value your life, come out. I won't repeat twice."

Sera confirmed the threat, gulping slightly at the words of the cold woman, she came out of the bushes where she was hiding. Lunaria examined her with a look before questioning.

"I know you had been stalking us ever since we arrived on this planet, don't even try to make an excuse..."

Sera looked down in shame, clenching her fists slightly, not able to gather the courage to ask anymore, but to her surprise, Lunaria asked something unexpected, her tone softening.

"What is it that you want?" It was as if she read, what Sera was thinking about, a hand resting on her waist. "We all aren't clueless fools, who just came here to do their duty and then be done with everything. I can see you want to ask me something, speak, I shall hear it."

Sera's body relaxed a little at her words, she cleared her throat, about to speak. But something else came up first, as both of them felt the wave of telepathic communication hit their brain, but of different people.

"Sis, its Risa, so I found this a raven here who was spying on me." Risa said, as she was standing in front of a tree where she had tied a familiar raven through chains manifested by her. "I already told the others about it, they said the same thing, Orion said he had seen Elves hiding behind the trees, Solara and that new guy also noticed a Phantom and an Orc but they ignored it."

"They are coming here, you come as well."

"Alright. I am coming." Lunaria said, as she cut off the telepathy, she looked at Sera, who rather had a horrified look on her face because of what she just heard.

"Sera, that dragon lady found me, please save me, I am scared, she looks terrifying!" It was Levin, the raven who was caught by Risa.

Lunaria could understand the reaction in one look, sighing slightly she said. "The raven that is held hostage by my younger sister, you know him, don't yo-"

However, before Lunaria could finish, Sera immediately bowed down to her, body bent forward at a ninety degree angle. "Please, I request you to ask your ally to not hurt that idiot, miss."

Lunaria stared at her. Mistress? The sound ringed into her head all of a sudden. . What was that? She thought. "What is he to you?" She questioned.

Sera processed the question, answering quietly. "Someone I am supposed to look after."

Someone I am supposed to protect. The words echoed in Lunaria's head, finding those memories unknown to her. Again? She rubbed her forehead for a moment, before continuing. "Well, come along then." She waved a hand, skating away back into the forest, heading towards Risa.

Sera stood there, turning around to look at the trail of ice left behind. She thought to herself about how much power Lunaria had within her.

That serpent... She turned towards the frozen serpent impaled by the glacier, as large as the largest mountains. It was at least a thousand meter tall and yet, she killed it with an attack that was even larger than it.

And she did that so effortlessly. Maybe even two, no, even three would had not been enough to deal with her. Sera stood still for a while, as she shifted to her phoenix form and chased after Lunaria, the latter moving along the winds.

On the other side, Levin was still scared, as Risa practiced some swings with her claymore. The silence breaking with the ruffling of the grass, Orion and his group arriving.

"First one to arrive, aren't we?" Orion asked, looking at the chained raven against the tree. "Well, don't we have a knowledgeable one here?" He knelt down slightly to match Levin's, who was on the ground, an innocent smile on his face.

"He is rather weak, the mana concentration within him is so low, it is barely noticeable." Risa mentioned, she stopped swinging her claymore, pushing it into the ground.

"Well you are not wrong about that. His mana concentration is rather weak." Orion replied back, watching the raven's terrified state.

"YAHOO!"

Suddenly to their surprise, a loud scream came from above, followed by a loud thud on the ground, the dust faded away, revealing Lunethra who stood proudly with a mischievous grin on his face.

Risa and Orion stared at him with a baffled look at his sudden arrival. Which was followed by a quiet laugh, as Solara landed alongside him, finding it amusing. Risa and Orion stared at the two, a vein popped up on Risa's forehead.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?" She yelled loud enough for Lunaria and Sera to hear, who were just about to arrive, the two entered among the group, finding Risa about to swing her claymore straight down at Lunethra who was trying to cover himself from it, Solara behind her, holding her from doing so.

"... Risa?" Lunaria awkwardly mentioned, Risa just noticed her arrival, as she awkwardly stared at Lunaria. "Uh... Yes sis?" Lunaria had a questioning look on her face.

After some settlement, Risa cleared her throat and apologised to Solara and Lunethra for losing her temper, but the moment they all turned towards Orion, the sight left them speechless.

Orion was sitting on the ground on his feet, staring dowward in silence, his ears covered by his hands, watery tears rolling off from his eyes, as if the world had betrayed him, but in reality. Risa's yell just pained him more than anything else.

Oh... The four of them realized what happened to him.

Orion was being comforted by Solara, the older woman trying to soothe him. "Apologies Orion, we forgot how sensitive you are to loud noises due to your superior senses as a demon."

Orion sulked slightly in her arms.

"It hurts."

"I know."

Back with the others, they all looked at Sera who just freed Levin, who was clinging to her in fear, quite short in height in comparison to her.

"So, this raven is your friend?" Risa asked, Sera nodded in confirmation. "Well, keep him checked, if it was Orion, he would have already killed him by now."

Sera was a bit taken back by the statement. Lunaria sighed slightly, as she explained why. "It's true. You see that demon clinging to that phoenix over there?" She pointed towards Solara and Orion. "He may seem more calm than Risa, but unlike her, if he finds it reasonable to kill, then he will."

Sera flinched slightly at the response. Levin clunged to her tighter. Lunethra broke the tension by mentioning something that he noticed. "His mana concentration is quite low. Normally, it would be unsettling because it's hard to survive with such low concentration in an area with not much mana concentration."

"This friend of yours... He is still not a complete adult raven yet, isn't he?" Lunethra's question left the group in a short silence.

"Are you telling me, that's a child?" Risa asked with a baffled look, Lunethra nodded slightly, Lunaria looked at Sera, waiting for an answer. She sighed a little, as she answered. "Yes... Levin is still a juvenile among ravens. That's why I am supposed to look after him until he is fully grown."

But sera was not finished yet. "But how did you figured that out?" She looked at Lunethra, who got a bit surprised at her stare. Sera continued. "Raven's don't change much in looks, nor do they have some sort of marking which differentiates them from their fully grown state and their juvenile state."

"So how did you even found out about that?"

Lunethra stayed silent for a moment, before answering with a soft smile. "I used to have a raven as a friend, I know how to differentiate between them."

The answer was reasonable, Sera continued to stare before sighing. "I see..." She bowed her head slightly, for answering her question.

Sera looked at them before speaking. "Since you all are already aware that everyone on this planet, knows why did all of you came here. I'll gather everyone for all of you."

Everyone agreed on the suggestion, it would ease their work a lot. However, not everything always has to go smooth. The moment Sera was about to lead everyone out of the forest. Risa's ears straightened.

Jumping into the air, she swinged her tail around, slamming the tip at an incoming arrow from behind. Landing back on the ground with a small thud. An excited grin on her face. "Well, this just got intresting."

Hearing an irritated 'tch' from the tree leaves, she threw her claymore before the attack could run away, the force of the impact breaking down several trees, leaving behind a dust of smoke.

As the attacker tried to make their way out of the smoke, Risa lunged at them the moment they were visible. The former barely stopping the dragon's tail.

But stopping the tail wasn't nearly enough to prevent the next move. When the attacker tried to make a sneak attack, Risa lunged her mouth straight at their hand, her sharp teeth sinking deep into their hand. Kicking Risa back in pain, hoping for the dragon to lose her grip, Risa didn't even flinched the slightest.

"Weak." Risa muttered, slamming her tail at them, she pulled her head back, the impact causing the attacker's hand to be seperated from them. Falling back on the ground, the cloaked figure screamed from the pain they felt after losing their hand.

Everyone else who watched the scene, found the sight pretty normal, except for Sera, who immediately covered Levin's eyes so he doesn't have to witness the sight.

Pulling the attacker by their neck, Risa took off their cloak to reveal the identity of the attacker. A girl with black hair and sharp fox like ears, her eyes red like blood, trying to struggle out of the dragon's grip.

Sera's eyes widened. "Miharu?" She muttered, the girl stopped struggling, still in pain from losing her hand, she glanced at Sera with a poisonous look in her eyes.

"You know her?" Orion questioned. Before Sera could respond, Miharu interrupted. "That arrow was for you... It was to kill you, I prepared it with poison so you could not heal yourself with your flames." She clenched her arm tight, her tone one of anger. "If it wasn't for this lizard, I could have killed you right the-"

SMACK! The sound of Risa's tail hitting Miharu straight at the back of her head. "Oi, who are you calling a liza-!?" Before Risa could finish, she saw the look at Miharu's face, it could be called her death glare, as if telling Risa not to interrupt. But the dragon couldn't be intimidated so easily. "Trying to act tough for someone who just lost a hand to the one you just called a lizard, huh?"

Raising her tail again, about to smack Miharu again, Risa gets stopped as ahe felt something grab the end of her tail. "Hmm?" Looking back, Lunethra was holding her tail by its tip with his fingers. "Risa... Let go of her." Lunethra said, not as a request but as a command. Risa annoyed, tried to argue back. "Why shoul-"

"I won't repeat myself, again." His tone, now one of anger, made Risa felt fearful. Sighing in annoyance, she let go of the black vixen.

Miharu dropped to the ground, trying to soothe the pain in her arm, grunted in pain. Lunethra knelt down to her level, placed a hand on her wound. Miharu was about to yell, but stopped when Lunethra said two words. "Crystal night." The words made Miharu stop herself right there.

Without looking back, Lunethra told the others to leave. Solara confused by the request, questioned. To which his reply was. "If you all don't go back there quick... Everyone might be already dead." Everyone understood, he knew something about this planet that they were aware about yet.

He glanced at Sera. "I expect you to explain them everything happening here, when all of you reach there." Sera clunched Levin's shoulder a little tighter at the command. "Understood..." She said, as she shifted to her phoenix form, along with Levin in his Raven form. The others followed them along. "You better tell us everything later." Risa said, before leaving. "... I will." He muttered quietly.

Turning his face back at Miharu, his gaze softened. "It's been a while."

"How have you been doing?... Little sister?"

...

"Everyone! Try to stay alive! This is Tsukiharu, we are facing!" Those were the last words of the elf leader, as his head fell to the ground, seperated from his body. A figure in a black clothing underneath the cloak they wore covering them well, placed their foot on top of it.

Giving out a sigh, theg scratched the back of their head slightly. "You were telling everyone to stay alive yet were the first to die." Applying some more pressure, the head of the elf was crushed completely, blood splashing out.

"Oh well... Time to kill everyone." Raising their arm in the air, they channel wind around their fist, as it grew larger until it turned into a tornado. One strong enough to create cracks in rocks just by its pressure.

The others who just arrived at the scene, stopped as they saw the tornado, the sky starting to darken because of it. "So that's why he told us that everyone might be dead if we are late..." Lunaria mumbled, her expression not changing. Instead, it only made her more serious. "I will deal with the caster of that wind magic, the rest of you. Help the others survive."

Giving the command, Lunaria skated herself towards the tornado. The others following her command, went to protect the others.

At the bottom of the tornado, the figure stood still. Yawning a little, as theh felt something approaching. Looking at front of them carefully, they saw something coming towards at them. They squeezed their eyes a little to focus, as they saw an icicle coming straight at them at high speed.

Immediately making a shield from wind, the icicle shattered upon contact with the shield. "Intresting..." They slammed their arm on the ground, the tornado now fixed on the ground.

They moved a little forward, to try and locate who sent the projectile. A white blur immediately lunging straight at them.

Grasp! The sound completely inaudible because of the tornado. Lunaria noticed, that there was only the cloak she grasped from her lunge. A wall of ice summoned behind her instantly, as a gust of heavy wind was blocked by it.

"Now who may you be, miss?" Lunaria glanced at the direction of the voice. Standing there was the person, without their cloak now. A boy with white hair, also having sharp fox ears, his eyes blue like an ocean. A curious look on his face.

"Just someone who came to do her work here, but you are interrupting me in it." Lunaria replied, as she walked past the wall. Tossing the cloak back to the boy. "Ah, I see... So your work must have something to do with saving these people as well huh?" He said, as he caught the cloak. A small smile appeared on his face. "Then, I will have to kill you as well." He said, as he lunged straight at her.

Timing his speed in a matter of seconds, Lunaria turned to the side, dodging his attack effortlessly. She could see the look of surprise on his face. "Wha-" Before he could finish the word, Lunaria grabbed his leg, and slammed his back on the ground. Gasping for air, a little blood came out of his mouth.

"W-what?" He was confused by her speed. "How did you even reacted to that?" Lunaria stared down at him, ignoring his question, she questioned him instead. "State your name, and your purpose here, or else. Die."

The boy started to sweat at the sight of the woman threatening him. He couldn't think of anything to escape from her. She was too strong for him. Surrendering at her power, he answered her questions. "T-Tsukiharu Kara... My purpose here... Was revenge for my older sibling."

.

..

...

How have you been doing?... Little sister?

The words echoed in Miharu's ears. She couldn't believe what she just heard. "It can't be..." She was about to doubt Lunethra, until his form started to shift.

Nine white tails emerged behind him, his hair turned dark, fangs coming out of his mouth, fox ears visible on his head as well. His eyes a heterochromic mixture of red and blue. "Believe me now?"

Miharu's throat stopped right there, she tried to speak but she no longer remembered how, tears falling out of her eyes as she started to cry like a little child, burrying her face in Lunethra's arms, she cried loud there. "C-Chi... You are alive..."

"Yes, I am... But not completely." Miharu wiped her tears off her face, some still within in her eyes, as she looked up at Lunethra in confusion.

"If you truly want me alive again..."

"We first have to stop Tsukiharu and mother from killing everyone."

Those words changed the mood of the situation completely, Miharu looked at him in confusion. Lunethra patted her head slightly, as he answered.

"Just go along with what I say... And your older sibling, Chiharu will be back to all of you again."

Miharu thought, before nodding, as the two started discussing their plan for what about to come.

On the other side, Lunaria held Tsukiharu's leg tight still, as she questioned him again but about his answer now. "Revenge for your older sibling?"

"Correct..." Tsukiharu nodded. But Lunaria didn't cared. "Well that still doesn't dismiss the fact, that you are interrupting my work."

Lunaria summoned a blade of frost around her arm, about to swing it to cut off Tsukiharu's head. "Revenge is understandable, but nothing interrupts me at my work."

SPLASH! Blood dripped drop by drop on the ground. Tsukiharu grinned weakly, as Lunaria slowly looked down, her eyes wide.

Risa came at the scene, running. "Sis, are you alr-" But her words couldn't finish themselves at the sight of what she saw.

In front of her, was Lunaria and Tsukiharu, her frost blade right near his neck. And large spear, shaped like the arm of a clock, stabbed into her from behind, coming out of her stomach.

"S... S... SIS!?" Risa screamed in shock and horror at the gruesome sight before her.
