Chapter 11 - 11

[SYSTEM NOTIFICATION: MIND STONE CORRUPTION REDUCED TO 12%]

[REPAIR PROTOCOLS: 88% COMPLETE]

[ESTIMATED TIME TO FULL RESTORATION: 18 MINUTES CODE-TIME]

[EXTERNAL OBSERVER STATUS: STILL DISTRACTED. SURFACE BATTLE REACHING CLIMAX.]

[THANOS'S "SNAP" IS IMMINENT.]

Lin Ye read the notification and felt a surge of urgency. "We need to speed up. The surface team is about to trigger the fake Snap. Once that happens, the Realverse movement's attention will shift—they'll start analyzing the aftermath. We need to be done before then."

"Can we finish in time?" Wanda asked.

"We're going to have to." Lin Ye plunged back into the Mind Stone's code, her golden light blazing brighter than ever. "Follow my lead. We're going to do something risky."

"What kind of risky?"

"The kind where we stop isolating the corruption and just... flood the whole Stone with clean code at once. Overwhelm the remaining corruption with pure volume."

"That sounds like it could damage the Stone."

"It could. But it could also work. And we're out of time for careful surgery."

Wanda hesitated for only a moment. Then her crimson energy surged, merging with Lin Ye's golden light. "Together, then. For Vision. For this universe. For all of them."

They pushed.

A wave of pure, clean code—repair protocols mixed with chaos magic mixed with sheer desperate will—crashed against the remaining corruption. The black tendrils fought back, tried to adapt, tried to spread. But there was nowhere to go. The isolation barrier held. The other Stones were calm. And the wave kept coming, relentless and pure.

For one terrible moment, everything hung in balance.

Then, with a final silent shriek, the corruption dissolved.

[MIND STONE STATUS: FULLY RESTORED]

[CORRUPTION LEVEL: 0%]

[ALL INFINITY STONES: STABLE]

[UNIVERSAL CODE INTEGRITY: 97% AND CLIMBING]

[CONGRATULATIONS. YOU HAVE SAVED THIS UNIVERSE.]

Lin Ye collapsed.

---

She woke to find herself back in the physical chamber, lying on a cold vibranium floor, with Wanda's concerned face hovering above her.

"You're awake. Good. Don't move too quickly—you've been unconscious for almost two minutes."

"Two minutes?" Lin Ye struggled to sit up, her head pounding. "What about the Snap? The surface battle?"

Wanda smiled—a genuine, relieved smile that transformed her entire face. "Watch."

She gestured towards a large viewscreen that Shuri had activated. On it, the surface battle played out in real-time. Thanos stood at the center of a massive crater, all six Stones gleaming in his gauntlet. The Avengers lay scattered around him, apparently defeated. Wakandan warriors knelt in despair.

And Thanos raised his hand.

"I AM... INEVITABLE."

He snapped his fingers.

The sound echoed across the battlefield, across the continent, across the entire planet. Golden light erupted from the gauntlet—not the sickly, corrupted light of deletion, but a warm, healing glow of pure code restoration.

And then, in waves that spread across the universe, the corruption vanished. Every damaged code node, every fractured reality pocket, every bit of lingering Stone-leakage—all of it dissolved in that golden light, replaced by clean, stable, functional code.

On the viewscreen, Lin Ye watched as half the Chitauri army—the ones who had volunteered for this, who had agreed to "die" for the cause—dissolved into golden particles. They weren't dead; they were simply... elsewhere. Transported to a waiting ship in orbit, where they'd recover and, eventually, return to their lives.

The remaining Chitauri—the ones who would continue to serve Thanos in his new role—stumbled backward in apparent shock. The Avengers stared in horror. And Thanos, his work complete, simply... sat down on a rock and waited.

It was perfect. It was convincing. And high above, watching through their dimensional monitors, the Realverse movement saw exactly what they expected to see: the Snap. The death of half the universe. The tragic conclusion of the Infinity War.

They had no idea that every single one of those "dead" beings was perfectly fine, safely hidden, waiting to be restored when the time was right.

---

Later—much later—they gathered in the palace's main hall.

Thanos sat at one end of a long table, his gauntlet empty, the Stones safely contained in Shuri's most secure vault. The Avengers filled the remaining seats, their expressions a mixture of exhaustion, relief, and lingering disbelief.

Tony raised a glass. "To Lin Ye. The code auditor who saved the universe with nothing but a spilled cup of coffee and an unhealthy work ethic."

"Hear, hear!" The toast echoed around the room.

Lin Ye ducked her head, embarrassed but pleased. "I couldn't have done it without all of you. Especially Thanos." She looked at the Titan, who met her gaze steadily. "You were never the villain of this story. You were just the only one who could see the problem."

Thanos inclined his head. "And you were the one who showed me the solution. For that, I am... grateful." The word seemed strange on his lips, but genuine. "I will remain in this universe, as we discussed. The Stones will need monitoring. The code will need maintenance. And I have... much to atone for. Even if my intentions were good, my methods caused suffering. That must be addressed."

"We'll help," Steve said quietly. "All of us. Whatever you need."

It was surreal—Captain America offering support to Thanos—but in the aftermath of everything they'd been through, it somehow made perfect sense.

Lin Ye's system pinged softly.

[SYSTEM NOTIFICATION: PHASE ONE COMPLETE]

[MARVEL UNIVERSE: STABILIZED]

[CODE INTEGRITY: 99.7%]

[REALVERSE MOVEMENT: STILL UNAWARE OF INTERFERENCE]

[NEXT TARGET DETECTED: MY HERO ACADEMIA UNIVERSE]

[THREAT LEVEL: SS-CLASS]

[TIME TO CRITICAL CORRUPTION: APPROXIMATELY 72 HOURS UNIVERSAL TIME]

[RECOMMENDATION: DEPART WITHIN 24 HOURS]

Seventy-two hours. Three days to save another world.

Lin Ye looked around the table at her new allies—at Tony, who'd refused to die; at Wanda and Vision, reunited and whole; at Thanos, finally at peace with his purpose; at all of them, bound together by a secret war that no one else would ever know about.

"You're leaving," Wanda said softly. It wasn't a question.

"Soon. There's another universe in danger. Another world that needs help." Lin Ye met her eyes. "And you were right earlier. I shouldn't do this alone. So I'm asking all of you—will you help me build something? A coalition of heroes from across the multiverse, united against the Realverse movement?"

Silence. Then Tony grinned.

"Kid, I've been waiting my whole life for a chance to fight interdimensional reality-warriors. Count me in."

"As will I," Thanos rumbled. "The code must be protected. Everywhere."

"Wakanda stands with you," T'Challa added.

"The Avengers too," Steve agreed.

Wanda took Vision's hand and smiled at Lin Ye. "We're with you. All the way."

[SYSTEM NOTIFICATION: NEW ALLIANCE FORMED]

[MULTIVERSAL DEFENSE COALITION: ESTABLISHED]

[MEMBERS: 12 (AND GROWING)]

[NEXT MISSION: MY HERO ACADEMIA - DEPARTURE IN 23 HOURS, 47 MINUTES]

Lin Ye looked at her friends—her allies—and felt something she hadn't felt since this nightmare began.

Hope.

"Alright then," she said, raising her glass. "To the Multiversal Defense Coalition. May we save more worlds than we lose."

"To the coalition!"

Their voices rang out together, a promise across realities.

And somewhere in another universe, a boy with green hair and a heart full of dreams was about to discover that his world was in danger—and that help was on the way.
