Chapter 5 - chapter 5 — The Purification Ritual

chapter 5 — The Purification Ritual

Hogwarts — Age of the Founders, Year 1

The dungeon's shadows had grown longer as night fell. The runes I had drawn yesterday still glowed faintly on the stone floor, remnants of the gravity training. But tonight, the chamber was quiet, almost reverent.

It was time for the next phase: purification cycles—rituals to strengthen bones, blood, and magical essence.

Slytherin's eyes gleamed in the dim light.

"Your creatures adapt quickly. The basilisk… will need more than adaptation. It will need refinement. You must prepare it for the trials to come."

I approached the egg, my hands tracing its engraved runes gently. The magic inside pulsed faster than before.

"My child… listen. Tonight, we begin to awaken more than your body… your essence."

Stage 4 — Purification Cycles

I had devised a set of cycles:

Bone Purification — infused with rune light to strengthen structure

Blood Essence Flow — magical circulation enhanced

Muscle and Organ Reinforcement — gradual energy and endurance build

Magical Core Harmonization — attuning the creature's inherent power to the natural magic of Hogwarts

The winged serpents and forest lizards watched curiously from the shadows, sensing the ritual's importance.

"This is… different… heavier… but… stronger… yes…" the basilisk egg thought.

Its shell vibrated violently for the first time, as if testing the limits of its unhatched body.

Hogwarts Reactions

Word of my purification cycles spread quickly:

Gryffindors whispered anxiously: "Now he's performing magic on an unborn creature? Dangerous… reckless…"

Ravenclaws examined from a distance: "Remarkable… he is essentially cultivating magical biology at an unprecedented level."

Hufflepuffs were still cautious: "I hope no one gets hurt…"

Slytherins watched with pride: "Exactly as I expected. Only a master could begin this process before hatching."

Even some magical creatures ventured closer, their instincts sensing the importance of this ritual.

Parseltongue Dialogue — The Egg Awakens

I whispered softly, letting my voice carry through the magic-infused chamber:

"My child… feel the power. Let it flow. Let it strengthen you. I am here. Trust me."

The basilisk's first words came more clearly than before:

"Father… I… move… feel… strange… powerful… yes… I trust…"

Its voice trembled with awe, not fear. The pulse of life inside the shell grew stronger.

"You see, Slytherin?" I said quietly."Even now… it understands the essence of strength, patience, and trust."

Slytherin's nod was slow, approving, yet cautious.

"Remember… every step teaches it more than obedience. It must learn wisdom… and discipline… before power alone."

First Movements

Then, for the first time, the basilisk shifted inside the shell. Small cracks formed along the engraved runes, like veins of energy.

"Father… I… feel… I… can… stretch… can… move…"

Its limbs flexed against the magical bindings of the egg. Its awareness expanded rapidly, testing the magical boundaries I had set.

"Yes… good… control… patience…" I murmured."Every cycle strengthens you… mind, body, and soul."

The chamber hummed with magic as the purification cycles reached their peak. By the end, the basilisk egg no longer felt inert—it had begun early awakening.
