Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 — The Computer Shop Appears

When Lin Tian returned to Cloud Mist Peak, the sun had already begun to set behind the distant mountains. The golden light of the evening spread across the quiet peak, casting long shadows across the empty courtyards and silent training grounds. Compared to the other peaks of the Lingyuan Sect, Cloud Mist Peak felt almost abandoned. There were no disciples practicing sword techniques, no elders lecturing about cultivation, and no lively discussions echoing through the halls. For years, the peak had been slowly declining, and now that the old peak master had disappeared, many believed its final days were approaching.

Lin Tian walked slowly through the courtyard where he had spent the past ten years training with his master. The wooden table where the old man often drank tea still stood beneath the ancient tree, and the empty chair across from it reminded him of the countless afternoons they had spent talking about cultivation and life. For a brief moment, Lin Tian felt a small wave of nostalgia. However, he quickly pushed the feeling aside. The old man had entrusted the peak to him, and now he had to find a way to protect it.

As he sat down on the wooden chair, the familiar mechanical voice echoed inside his mind once again.

DING.

Mission Reminder: Open Computer Shop.

Lin Tian rubbed his forehead with a helpless sigh. "You really won't let me forget about that, will you?"

As soon as he finished speaking, a bright panel of light appeared in front of him. Various blueprints and construction layouts filled his vision, displaying the design of a strange building unlike anything that existed in the cultivation world. Rows of tables, glowing screens, and sleek machines were neatly arranged inside the building.

Lin Tian stared at the design for a moment before letting out a quiet laugh. "An internet café in a cultivation sect… this is definitely the strangest cultivation path anyone has ever taken."

Another notification appeared immediately.

System Construction Available.

Select location for Computer Shop.

Lin Tian looked around the empty courtyard of Cloud Mist Peak. The area behind the training grounds was spacious and rarely used. If the shop were built there, it wouldn't disturb the rest of the peak.

"Build it there," Lin Tian said casually.

The moment the words left his mouth, the ground beneath the courtyard suddenly began to tremble slightly.

A soft humming sound filled the air.

Lin Tian quickly stood up and turned toward the empty land behind the courtyard.

Before his eyes, spiritual energy began gathering rapidly, forming countless glowing symbols in the air. The ground shifted and reshaped itself as if invisible hands were constructing something from the earth itself. Wooden beams, stone walls, and glass-like windows appeared piece by piece, assembling themselves with incredible speed.

Within a few moments, an entirely new building stood proudly on Cloud Mist Peak.

Lin Tian stared at the structure in disbelief.

The building looked nothing like the traditional architecture of the cultivation world. Its smooth walls, wide windows, and glowing interior lights made it appear strangely modern and mysterious.

Above the entrance hung a wooden signboard that slowly carved itself with glowing characters.

Cloud Mist Internet Café.

Lin Tian crossed his arms and nodded with satisfaction.

"Well… that was fast."

Curious, he pushed open the door and stepped inside.

The interior looked exactly like the blueprint the system had shown him. Rows of computers were neatly arranged on long tables, each one equipped with a glowing screen and strange devices that cultivators would definitely find confusing. The room was illuminated by soft white lights, and the air inside felt calm and comfortable.

A new notification appeared in his mind.

Computer Shop Initialized.

Number of computers available: 20.

Protection Formation Activated.

Lin Tian raised an eyebrow. "Protection formation?"

Before the system could explain further, he suddenly felt a powerful wave of energy spread across the building. Invisible barriers formed around the entire shop, creating a protective field that surrounded the structure.

The system quickly displayed the rules.

Shop Rules:

No fighting allowed inside the shop.Any hostile action will be immediately suppressed. All visitors must follow shop regulations.Violation will result in automatic expulsion.

Lin Tian nodded slowly.

"That means even the strongest cultivators won't be able to cause trouble here."

For the first time since receiving the system, he felt genuinely impressed.

"Not bad," he murmured.

He then walked toward one of the computers and looked at the glowing screen.

The moment his hand touched the device, several game titles appeared in front of him.

Zombie Catastrophe Realm.God Slayer Trial.Battle Royale Survival.Tactical War Arena.Creation Realm.

Lin Tian's eyes widened slightly.

"These are…"

They were games from his previous world.

But now, they had been transformed into training realms designed for cultivators.

A notification appeared again.

Players entering the games will experience virtual battle worlds.

Upon exiting, players may gain combat experience, comprehension, or cultivation insight.

Lin Tian slowly leaned back in his chair.

"So this is the real purpose of the shop."

In a cultivation world where people spent years trying to improve their combat skills, a place that could instantly provide battle experience would be extremely valuable.

At first, people might laugh at the idea of a computer shop.

But once they realized the benefits…

Lin Tian smiled slightly.

"They'll start lining up outside the door."

Just as he finished speaking, footsteps suddenly echoed outside the building.

Lin Tian turned toward the entrance and saw two familiar figures approaching the shop.

They were outer disciples of the Lingyuan Sect who often trained near Cloud Mist Peak.

The two disciples stopped in front of the strange building and stared at it with confusion.

"Was this building here before?" one of them asked.

"I don't think so," the other replied.

They looked up at the signboard.

Cloud Mist Internet Café.

Both disciples exchanged puzzled looks.

"What kind of place is that?"

Lin Tian slowly stood up from his chair and walked toward the entrance with a calm smile.

It seemed the first customers of Cloud Mist Peak's computer shop had already arrived.
