Summary of the story:- The following story 'The lost child ' has been written by Mulk Raj Anand. In the story the author highlights a child's love for his parents . It is a story about a young child who gets attracted by things around him on the way to the fair . However , he knows that his parents would refuse and so he moves ahead . When he gets separated from his parents , all those things do not tempt him anymore.

{ Child goes to spring fair with his parents }
It was the festival of spring and everyone was going to the spring fair . The lost child was going to the fair with his parents . She was very happy and excited . She was attracted by anything around him, specially the toys . He told his parents that he wanted a toys . However , his parents refused . While he is father looked at him angrily , his mother's distracted him by showing him the flowering mustard fields .
The child was there in attracted by the purple dragon flies , black bee and a butterfly fluttering over the mustard flower . You wanted to catch one of them but his mother called him . He was also attracted by small insects and worms along the footpath . Then , when he is parents were sitting under a tree , he collected flower petals as they showered on him in the grove . Later , he heard the cooing of doves and run around banyan tree.
