Chapter 127 - Chapter 127: Fried Egg

As dawn broke and the morning light faintly appeared, Raiden Ei awoke from her slumber. The moment she opened her eyes, she saw the translucent tent ceiling, which quickly brought her to full consciousness.

Sensing the restraint on her arm, her gaze shifted to Little Allie, who was sleeping soundly beside her.

The Little Fellow was still asleep, her nostrils twitching slightly, her breathing soft and even. Coupled with her rosy little face, she looked exceptionally adorable.

Raiden Ei did not want to disturb her continued sleep, so she carefully withdrew her arm. Fortunately, she didn't wake her up.

After covering the Little Fellow with the blanket to prevent her from catching a chill, Raiden Ei quickly changed into a set of casual clothes, preparing to begin today's training.

It was still dim outside, and the mist lingered in the mountains, yet the small creatures like birds were already out early foraging for food.

Raiden Ei habitually began practicing her swordsmanship. Although her physical strength couldn't improve naturally,

the purpose of her learning swordsmanship and other skills was to maximize the use of her own power.

She aimed to develop powerful techniques to enhance her strength, to perfectly master the combat skills stored in the memory of 'Raiden Ei,' and ideally, to execute those skills instinctively during combat.

(Diligent training was indispensable, so to surpass others, one had to work even harder. Raiden Ei decided: "I will practice swordsmanship three million times first.")

"Phew, the sun is already up!" Raiden Ei put away the blade she had been swinging for over three hours and looked towards the distant tent.

"I imagine Little Allie must be waking up soon. I should go find something edible for breakfast."

Raiden Ei's body moved slightly, and she walked towards the forest down the mountain at an extremely fast pace.

She remembered the large bird she had seen the previous night; its nest contained many bird eggs. She had forgotten to take them last night, and it shouldn't be too late to go now.

Even without using her Devil Fruit abilities, Raiden Ei quickly arrived at the base of the tree where she had spotted the large bird yesterday.

One only needed to look up to see a massive nest woven from branches and vines situated on a branch about ten meters high. A bird the size of a car tire was staring intently at her, an intruder in its territory.

"Wow, what a huge bird, I've never seen one before. Should I catch it and keep it as a pet for the Little Fellow?"

Just as Raiden Ei was contemplating whether to catch the bird, the large bird had already bristled. Spreading its wings, its wingspan was nearly four meters, and it lunged at her with a sharp cry.

Raiden Ei watched the large bird's movements, thought for a moment, and decided against it. Allie was still young; this bird was so large and fierce. What if it injured her?

Its display of aggression only made her abandon the idea of capturing it; she still needed its eggs.

However, the bird was now extremely vigilant. Taking the eggs just like that might provoke an relentless attack, and a struggle could even break the eggs.

For the safety of the eggs, Raiden Ei decided to use Conqueror's Haki. A red light flashed in her purple eyes, and an overbearing aura shot towards the large bird.

She uttered words that left no room for doubt: "Quiet!"

The large bird's feathers all stood on end the moment Conqueror's Haki manifested. After shaking a few times, it collapsed inside the nest and passed out.

Seeing this, Raiden Ei pushed off forcefully with her legs and leaped directly into the bird's nest. In the very center of the nest, she could see eight bird eggs, each as large as a bowl, with the large bird lying off to the side.

She stepped forward and picked up one egg. It was clearly much larger than her hand and weighed over a jin (about half a kilogram) when she balanced it.

"Besides an ostrich egg, this is the largest egg I've ever seen. Truly peculiar," Raiden Ei muttered, picking up another before leaving with satisfaction.

It took some time to return. When she opened the tent flap, Little Allie had already woken up and was tidying her clothes on the bed.

"Good morning, Little Allie." Raiden Ei greeted the Little Fellow and stepped forward to help her arrange the clothes she hadn't managed to fix.

"Good morning, Sister Ei. You woke up so early; I didn't see you when I woke up," she complained while letting Raiden Ei organize her clothes.

It was unclear whether she was complaining about how soundly she had slept or complaining that Raiden Ei hadn't woken her up.

After finishing organizing her clothes, Raiden Ei said, "Why should a child wake up so early? Sleeping a little longer is fine. If you wake up too early, you might not grow tall."

"Alright, go wash up. I just collected two bird eggs; you'll have bird eggs for breakfast today!"

Raiden Ei informed Little Allie and then left the tent to start a fire.

Little Allie obediently agreed. After Raiden Ei started the campfire, she finished her washing and other tasks and came to the makeshift stove.

Looking at the two giant bird eggs placed nearby, Little Allie was also surprised they were bird eggs. Unsure, she touched one with her hand: "Sister Ei, are these really bird eggs?"

Raiden Ei nodded, her hands never stopping their work, and said, "I got these just now from a nest down the mountain. There was a large bird in there, a very, very big one that I've never seen before."

"I originally wanted to catch it for you as a pet, but it turned out to be quite fierce. I didn't catch it for fear of scaring you."

Raiden Ei controlled the fire well and said to Little Allie, "Okay, you make breakfast!"

Little Allie turned around, hugged Raiden Ei's arm, and shook it slightly, saying in a childlike voice, "Sister Ei, didn't you say you would cook for me to taste when you have free time?"

Raiden Ei touched her forehead upon hearing this and spoke to Little Allie with earnest advice:

"Little Allie, I can do anything, except cook. It can be said that the food I make, even I cannot eat it."

"Is that so? You still want me to cook?"

Her statement made Little Allie even more curious about what it tasted like. Her eyes sparkled as she stared at Raiden Ei, "Sister Ei, just make one, please make one!"

Raiden Ei had no choice but to say, "Fine, fine. I hope you don't regret it."

Little Allie quickly let go of Raiden Ei's arm so she could move freely.

Raiden Ei picked up one bird egg, remembered the recovery food from the game, and said, "I'll make you a Teyvat Fried Egg!"

Little Allie nodded enthusiastically. The name sounded delicious just by looking at it. It couldn't possibly be that bad, right?

Raiden Ei stood before the simple stove, first heating the pan, then pouring in oil. Once the oil temperature rose, she cracked the bird egg and poured the liquid into the pan, carefully flipping it to prevent it from sticking to the bottom, added seasonings, fried it until golden brown, and then removed it from the heat.

Raiden Ei's movements were executed in one fluid motion, without any pause. If one didn't look at the finished product in the pan, she would surely rank among the greatest chefs of the era.

The fried egg on the plate did not have the golden color Raiden Ei had imagined; instead, it was entirely purple, and the rising steam resembled battlefield smoke. The overall appearance was quite ominous.

Little Allie stared at the fried egg, completely stunned. With normal ingredients and seasonings, how could the result look like this?
