___
And so.
Orario. West Main Street. Seventh District, at the end of a remote alley in the Old City District.
Inside Haimer's temple.
The originally deathly silent space suddenly rippled with violent distortions.
Then—
A flash of light.
A crowded group of people appeared out of thin air, instantly filling the already cramped second-floor hall.
"Ow!"
"Don't push! Don't push! My dictionary!"
"Awoooo—!"
"Who stepped on Kyoubou's paw?!"
After a moment of complete chaos—
The girls finally managed to steady themselves and look around.
"Th-This…"
"This is a temple?"
"I know we said we'd struggle and work hard…"
"But isn't this a bit too much suffering?!"
Kikakujou Mary's eyes widened as she stared at the mottled walls, the swaying chandelier that looked ready to fall at any second, and the pile of dusty junk stacked in the corner.
"Silence."
Amou Kirukiru coldly rebuked her.
She paid no attention to the shabby surroundings.
Instead, she immediately walked to the window and looked outside through the dust-covered glass.
"Creak—"
The window opened.
Outside—
The massive Babel Tower pierced straight into the clouds. The bustling streets below teemed with people.
All kinds of strange races.
Beastmen. Dwarves. Elves…
Even at a mere glance—
You could see a demi-human with animal ears carrying a giant battle axe, a long-bearded dwarf laughing loudly with a sack of ore on his back, and a slender elf weaving gracefully through the crowd.
An exotic yet vibrant atmosphere rushed in with the wind.
"So this is… another world."
Amou Kirukiru's fingers lightly brushed the window frame, the light in her eyes growing increasingly fervent.
"It really is…"
"Completely different."
Onigawara Rin stepped closer as well, watching a squad of armored adventurers pass below, their bodies reeking of blood.
There were no pretentious academy rules here.
Everything openly displayed the beauty of power.
Inaba Tsukuyo stood in the center of the hall, eyes closed, listening quietly.
"The sound of the wind… the tremor of the earth…"
"And…"
"Something subtle, hidden in the air, yet flowing everywhere."
She extended her hand as if trying to grasp something invisible.
"So this is the world Lord God spoke of?"
Inaba Tsukuyo tightened her grip on her blade, her body subtly tensing.
The place might look run-down.
But even a random passerby outside emitted an aura that could not be underestimated.
This truly was a world of the strong.
Just as the girls were immersed in the novelty of this new world—
Bang bang bang!
The temple's slightly warped wooden door was suddenly pounded loudly.
The abrupt noise instantly put everyone on alert.
Amou Kirukiru raised her hand-blade stance.
Onigawara Rin's hand went to her sword hilt.
Even the large black bear stood up warily, letting out a low growl.
"Haimer!"
"Are you in there?!"
"Hurry up and open the door!"
A lively girl's voice came from outside, loud and energetic.
"Hephaestus just gave me some fried potato croquettes and told me to come call you to eat at the Hephaestus Familia!"
"If you don't come soon, we'll be late!"
Hearing that voice—
Haimer rubbed his forehead helplessly.
Hestia.
Or rather, Orario's famously known "Blue Ribbon," "Poor Goddess," and "Loli Goddess."
As another goddess barely scraping by in Orario, she and Haimer were among the few who could be called fellow sufferers.
They often stuck together for warmth.
However—
Before Haimer could tell everyone to relax—
Creak—
The already fragile door was pushed open from the outside by Hestia.
"Honestly, what are you dawdling fo—"
A twin-tailed goddess wearing her signature white short dress with the blue ribbon tied under her chest, possessing an outrageously unfair figure, barged in with a slight frown.
Then—
Her voice abruptly stopped.
As if an invisible hand had seized her throat.
She froze mid-motion—one foot across the threshold, the other still outside.
Her large blue eyes locked onto the interior.
Because she saw—
Inside this shabby temple that normally wouldn't even attract a rat—
It was completely packed.
And not just that—
It was filled with a group of uniquely striking, clearly dangerous-looking beauties.
A proud, domineering black-haired queen.
A white-haired kimono girl with her eyes closed.
A righteous short-haired swordswoman.
A blonde with curls hugging a dictionary.
A petite girl holding a smacking baby bear.
A green-haired girl smiling in a way that made one's skin crawl.
And…
A massive black bear, nearly reaching the ceiling, scratching its belly with a simple-minded look.
Hestia: "..."
The air went silent.
Hestia blinked.
Then blinked again.
As if confirming whether she was still asleep—or hallucinating from hunger.
She looked at the girls, who were also curiously examining her.
Then she looked at Haimer.
Finally—
She raised a hand and rubbed her eyes.
The paper bag in her hand fell to the floor with a plop, and two hot fried potato croquettes rolled out.
When Hestia opened her eyes again and confirmed this was not a hallucination—
"Ehhh?!! WHAT?!!"
A scream loud enough to blow off the roof erupted.
Hestia stiffly turned her neck, pointed at Amou Kirukiru, then at the bear.
Finally, she stared at Haimer's infuriatingly handsome face.
Wh-What is going on?!
Is this really Haimer's temple—the same Haimer who could barely afford meals and went around freeloading with her all day?!
Where did this entire room of beautiful girls come from?!
And what's with the two black bears—one big and one small?!
At that moment—
The sheer contrast shattered Hestia's fragile mental defenses.
It felt like your best buddy who eats instant noodles with you every day and complains about unemployment—
Suddenly shows up one day in a luxury car, surrounded by supermodels, and says:
"Bro, come to my villa and enjoy a royal banquet."
Betrayal!!
Utter betrayal!!
It flooded Hestia's heart like a tidal wave.
"H-Haimer?!"
Her voice shot up an octave. Her trembling finger pointed at the entire room. Her cheeks visibly puffed up.
"Wh-Who are these people?!"
"You… you actually went behind my back…"
"And secretly found so many…"
"Waaahhhhhhh!!"
"We agreed we'd be Orario's useless freeloader gods together! How could you secretly make it big on your own?!!"
