A man with round half-rimmed glasses entered. His face was truly annoying. His body was obese, as if all the fat in the world had been crammed into him. He dropped a large suitcase that sounded like an explosion when it hit the floor.
"What did he do this time?" the fat man asked me.
Whether she was incredibly brave or just foolish, my maid answered. "Young Master didn't do anything. Instead, he was the one locked in the warehouse out back!"
The fat man glared in a terrifying way. It seemed he was not pleased with the answer he received.
His hand reached out carelessly, attempting to fumble over my body without any real intention of examining me.
So, before he actually touched me, I quickly exclaimed, "I'm fine!"
The fat man raised his eyebrows immediately. He seemed relieved that he didn't have to touch me. He took a handkerchief from his pocket and wiped his palms with it.
"It's good that you are fine. So, I will head back now." He picked up the heavy suitcase he had dropped earlier. A suitcase he hadn't even had the chance to open.
I watched him until he had completely left. He rudely pulled the door until it slammed shut with a loud bang. Only after that did I turn toward my maid, who was standing at the edge of the bed.
"Who is he?" I asked my maid.
"He is the family doctor."
"A doctor?" I repeated the professional title with a hint of shock. "I am the Young Master of this family, right? Why is his attitude like he's looking at a stray dog?"
My personal maid looked at me with a gaze full of worry. "Are you really alright, Young Master?"
Except for the pain in my head and several other parts of my body, I seemed to be fine. That's why I nodded my head.
However, what I did only made my personal maid shed tears. "You are truly suffering, Young Master. Why can't the other Young Masters just leave you alone?"
In the past, only my grandmother would cry every time she saw a wound on my body. And now, there was a stranger replacing her.
However, I didn't understand why I had come back to life in a body I didn't recognize. Realizing where I was now, I could finally understand why the maid in front of me looked so worried.
"I... actually, I don't remember anything."
The pale face of my maid changed its expression to one of pity. "Oh my God... how hard did they hit you this time, Young Master?"
I saw her flick away the tears hanging from her eyelashes. "Even though you are also his son, Master, why are you being treated poorly like this?"
I knew nothing about myself at this moment. It seemed that before more trouble came my way, I had to find out more about who this young man I had become actually was.
"Can... can you tell me something?" I was a bit hesitant about what I was going to say.
The maid, who was looking at me with a pitiful gaze, furrowed her brow. "Why are you speaking so politely? What is it you want to know, Young Master?"
"Who... who am I?"
It seemed my question dealt a painful blow to the maid in front of me. She took a step back, and her look of pity was like rain in winter.
