Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: Secrets of the Vampire City

Dave disguised himself and entered the Vampire City. The city was built in such a way that vampires could move around freely while staying protected from the sunlight.

While walking through the streets, Dave noticed a group of people gathered together. Curious, he walked closer to them. They were all talking about Raven and Anna.

One man said nervously,

"Anna looks just like her mother. If she turns out like her… what will happen to us?"

Another man replied,

"She has no mercy. She's different from her father and brother. If she takes her father's place one day, we won't be safe anymore.

She might even create more vampires."

At that moment, an old woman approached them. She looked very elderly but her voice was strong.

"Just because a mother was not good doesn't mean her child will be the same," she said firmly. "Stop spreading nonsense and go back to your work."

The people slowly began leaving.

Just as Dave was about to walk away, the old woman stopped him.

"Who are you?" she asked. "I've never seen you here before."

Dave quickly replied,

"I'm a merchant."

The woman nodded and began walking away.

But Dave stopped her again.

"Why were they all talking like that? Whose daughter is she? Why is everyone speaking badly about her?"

The old woman sighed.

"She is not a bad person. Don't think that our princess is evil."

She continued calmly,

"We cannot judge someone without truly knowing them. If we speak badly about someone based only on rumors, then we are the ones who are wrong."

Dave asked politely,

"Can you tell me why people think like that?"

The woman was about to answer when suddenly Anna appeared.

She grabbed Dave's arm and pulled him away.

"Why did you come here?" she whispered angrily. "If someone recognized you, they would have killed you!"

Dave replied softly,

"I came to see you."

Anna looked at him for a moment, then sighed.

"You shouldn't have done that. I'll come to meet you tonight at the place you told me about. For now, go back."

Dave nodded and returned to Angel City.

That night…

Raven looked at Kay and said quietly,

"Come here."

Kay looked confused.

"What?"

Raven gestured for him to come closer.

Kay walked toward him.

"Hold on properly," Raven said.

Before Kay could understand what was happening, Raven lifted him and in the blink of an eye they were outside Angel City.

They arrived in the same forest where they had first met. There was a cave there, beautifully decorated.

Kay's eyes sparkled with excitement.

"So that's how you move so fast… like the wind!" he said, looking around. "This place is amazing. Do you come here often?"

"Yes," Raven replied.

Kay was curiously looking at everything around him.

Meanwhile, Raven was only looking at Kay.

He stared at him as if Kay was his entire world… as if he had been waiting only for him.

Raven never had any friends. The only person he remembered was Kay. He had been searching for him since childhood.

The moment Raven saw Kay in the forest, he recognized him immediately.

But Raven also realized that Kay remembered nothing.

The place where Raven had brought him was the place where they used to play together as children. It was their secret place.

Kay noticed Raven staring.

"What happened? Why are you looking at me like that? Is something on my face?"

Raven smiled softly.

"No. I'm just looking at you. It's hard for me to look away from you… so I just want to see you properly."

Kay laughed.

"Oh really? Then I'll come closer so you can look better."

As Kay stepped closer, Raven's expression suddenly changed.

"You shouldn't come too close," Raven said quietly. "I don't want to lose control. I don't want to hurt you… I'm afraid I might harm you."

Kay looked at him seriously.

"What… do you love me?"

Meanwhile, somewhere else…

Anna arrived to meet Dave.

"What happened?" she asked. "Why did you come to the vampire city?"

Dave replied,

"I just wanted to know about you."

Anna looked confused.

"What do you want to know?"

"How is your mother?"

Anna's expression changed.

"My mother… she's no longer in this world. She's dead."

She continued quietly,

"I don't know why people talk so much about her. But I will find out the truth someday.

Maybe she wasn't a good vampire like my father… but she was still my mother. And loving your mother isn't wrong, is it?"

Dave gently hugged her.

"Don't worry. One day everything will be alright. I know you're a good vampire."

Anna stayed silent in his arms.

Suddenly, she remembered a moment from her childhood.

Her mother was telling her,

"One day, you will take over Angel City.

Promise me that, Anna."

Little Anna, crying, had promised her mother.

Dave looked at her.

"Are you okay?"

Anna nodded slowly.

"Yes… I'm fine. I should go now."

"Alright," Dave said.

Meanwhile…

Raven looked at Kay seriously.

"Why do you want to know that? Don't tell me… you like me."

Kay quickly shook his head.

"No! Why would I like you? I'm only spending time with you because you saved my life."

Raven's expression became calm.

"I see. Then let's go. I'll drop you back to Angel City."

Raven held Kay and brought him back to his room.

He turned to leave.

"You're going?" Kay asked.

"Yes," Raven replied. "Our debt is settled now. I saved your life and you gave me your time."

Kay thought to himself,

Don't melt so quickly…

Raven raised an eyebrow while looking at him.

Kay forced a smile.

"Alright. You should go."

Raven smiled softly and disappeared.

The next day, Dave went to meet the Angel King.

"What did you find out?" the king asked.
