Chapter 1 - Unnamed

It was a quiet evening in a small town. The sky was covered with dark clouds, and soft rain started falling on the empty streets. People hurried home, but Arjun was walking slowly under the rain, holding a book in his hand.

Arjun loved the rain. It made him feel peaceful.

Suddenly, while crossing the road, he saw a girl standing near a bus stop. She looked worried and was trying to cover herself from the rain with her bag.

Arjun walked closer and said gently,

"Excuse me… you can share my umbrella if you want."

The girl looked up. Her eyes were bright, and her smile was soft.

"Thank you," she said. "My bus is late, and the rain is getting stronger."

They stood together under the same umbrella. The rain poured heavily around them, but inside that small space, everything felt warm and calm.

"My name is Arjun," he said.

"I'm Meera," she replied.

They started talking about simple things—college, books, favorite movies. Somehow, the conversation felt natural, as if they had known each other for years.

When the bus finally arrived, Meera stepped in but turned back and said with a smile,

"I hope it rains again tomorrow."

Arjun watched the bus leave, feeling something new in his heart.

After that rainy evening, Arjun and Meera started meeting often.

Sometimes they met at a small café near the park. Sometimes they just walked along the river, talking for hours.

Meera loved painting. She often carried a sketchbook with her and drew the sunset or trees.

Arjun loved writing stories. He said one day he wanted to write a novel.

One afternoon Meera asked,

"Do you ever write about love?"

Arjun smiled and replied,

"Not yet… maybe when I understand it."

Meera laughed softly.

Days passed. Their friendship grew stronger.

They celebrated birthdays together, shared secrets, and supported each other during difficult days.

One evening, they were sitting on a bench in the park watching the sunset.

The sky turned orange and pink.

Meera said quietly,

"You know… I feel very happy when I'm with you."

Arjun looked at her. His heart started beating faster.

He realized something important.

He had fallen in love with her.

But he was afraid to say it.

What if she didn't feel the same?

So he stayed silent.

A few weeks later, heavy rain returned to the town.

Arjun remembered the day they first met. He called Meera and asked her to meet him at the same bus stop.

When Meera arrived, she smiled.

"You chose a rainy day again."

Arjun laughed nervously.

"Yes… because rain brought us together."

For a moment they stood quietly while rain fell around them.

Arjun took a deep breath.

"Meera… there's something I want to tell you."

She looked at him with curiosity.

"Since the day we met, my life has changed. Every story I write, every place I visit… I think about you."

He paused.

"I think… I'm in love with you."

The rain continued falling. Arjun waited nervously for her answer.

Meera didn't say anything for a few seconds.

Then she smiled—the same beautiful smile from the first day.

"I was wondering how long it would take you to say that," she said.

Arjun looked surprised.

"You mean…?"

"Yes," she laughed softly.

"I love you too."

Arjun felt happier than ever before.

They stood under the umbrella together, just like the first time they met.

But this time, they weren't strangers anymore.

They were two hearts beginning a beautiful love story.

And the rain kept falling… as if celebrating their new beginning.🥰🥰♥️💓
