Chapter 10 - chapter 10 The Aftermath

Consequences of the Timeline Experiment

News of the timeline experiment spread across the Dhuman world faster than anyone had expected.

Within weeks, every civilization knew about the breakthrough in Antarctica. Scholars called it the greatest scientific achievement in Dhuman history.

For the first time, scientists had proven the existence of other timelines.

Xenia and Foxi became the most famous figures in the world. Universities, research centers, and governing councils praised their work. Their names appeared in books, public speeches, and scientific journals across every continent—from Sia in Asia to Sunnyj in Africa, and Blueback in North America.

But the discovery also sparked fear.

Many questioned the consequences of opening portals to other timelines. Some warned that the experiment might damage the very structure of reality. Others believed it could trigger dangerous paradoxes, or even unravel history itself.

Leaders from several civilizations gathered to discuss the situation. After long and tense debates, they made a single decision:

No second experiment would be allowed.

The Antarctic research center was placed under strict supervision. Guards patrolled the halls, and all access to the timeline device required multiple approvals.

Meanwhile, the discovery had unleashed a flood of theories among scholars:

Some claimed there were infinite parallel worlds.

Others believed the portal had revealed a dangerous alternate history.

A few warned that interacting with another timeline could create catastrophic paradoxes.

Amid the debates, Xenia and Foxi felt something else entirely: frustration.

They believed their work had only just begun. The first experiment was merely a small step toward understanding the universe.

Years passed. By 1799, nearly a decade after the first test, they continued to hope for a second attempt—but the world around them was no longer ready to allow it.

Their dreams were paused… but not forgotten.

The Human Paradox was only beginning.

To be continued…
